Hotels near Parcul de la cămin, Bucharest

I arrived day 4/12/2022 in the hotel and the room had hair and general dirt, I left this... The day after nobody cleaned my room, however, the cleaning girl came in to throw the “wash”, They threw a box of shoes just bought that was necessary for the sale. The next day I explicitly asked to clean the room, but they changed only the towels without changed my handles, which I had to ask more and more times. The pentle day they entered the room again for cleaning, which they did not clean or order the beds or the room but they stole a bag, I in good faith thought they had thrown it, and fell down on the ground, I went to the reception where they told me they didn't see any bag; I'm really shocked, it's very serious that they come to steal in the rooms. If the identity card had been inside it would have been a huge disorder for me to find me in a country I don't know and to return to Italy. The breakfast is Romanian, without the possibility of sweets or cornets, without the possibility of drinking a cappuccino or coffee, but only a watered coffee in the tea boiler. The staff are not unhappy, but I have no good words to describe them, given my anger, I am really disappointed, because the reviews were not bad.

We stayed here with a group of people, we were all part of an organised tour. The room was clean & the breakfast good. However the hotel appeared to need finishing, a large open hole in the ceiling of the bedroom & also the electricity suddenly disappeared (although it did return fairly promptly for us.) However on the evening of our second stay they were obviously hosting a private event in the only bar area on the twelfth floor. We were refused entry & when we returned to reception on the ground floor, Improvement we were told to go out or request room service. At almost the same time a group of Romanian guests were offered drinks, naturally we objected to this & as a good will gesture they reluctantly offered us drinks. We were then asked to pay for them to which we all refused & after several phone calls they finally accepted this. My husband & I had a pre booked transfer to travel to the airport the following day. When my husband approached reception he was told he would have to pay them 370 leu & there was no such thing booked!! Our driver arrived on time & assured us it was booked & pre-paid & duly drove us to the airport. This is not an acceptable service for a 4star hotel, possibly there may be a language barrier/ misunderstanding or it could be lack of training & knowledge or even dishonesty. During my recent travels, I came across the best place to stay. It's luxurious yet surprisingly affordable. I highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking to enjoy high-end accommodations without breaking the bank. The best thing about the hotel was the location in the old town. The hotel itself was OK but I was possibly expecting little better for the price. My only specific issue was the bathroom which really needed an update, in particular the shower box which is quite small. The shower floor and the general bathroom floors are really slippery, verging on dangerous (in my opinion)

Lovely centrally located hotel. Friendly staff. Good sized room with comfortable bed and pillows. Tv with Netflix etc. good sized bathroom however the water in the shower was tepid at best and quite often cold. Breakfast was poor! Limited options and cold, dry eggs every day!! The cons were the hotel is on a ridiculously busy, noisy street! Not the fault of the hotel who try to of offset this by having really comfy beds and providing ear plugs. This is the strangest old town! Again, not the fault of the hotel. You walk out on to a street with bars and restaurants that’s full of touts who are constantly trying to get you to come in their bars. This is from 11am so even when you’re just sightseeing during the day… the touts will mither you to try to get you to come in when you’re just trying to head back to your hotel. Again, not the hotels fault. The hotel is also in between 3 ‘men only bars’. Which makes the area feel a bit seedy. The hotel and the staff are lovely however we wouldn’t stay here again for the reason outlined above.

When i got there, I was told I was too early (fair enough, check-in is from 2 pm and i got there around 11.30) I had sort of anticipated this, so thought i would just kill some time at the skybar which supposedly has a great view - but much to my surprise, I was told the skybar was closed, only open for breakfast. Must be the biggest attraction of the hotel, and in their wisdom, they close it! So instead, I took a walk heading towards the parliament building which is preety close by. When i returned a while later, room was now ready but oh by the way, the lift doesnt work! So i now had to carry luggage up the fire exit staircase (room was on 4th floor). Very narrow and poorly lit, so if you have trouble walking - good luck. Just hope you dont meet somebody coming down - passing them will be a challenge :-) Reception said lift would be fixed in a day or two!! So i made it to the room and cannot really decide what to think of it. On the one hand, it was spotlessly clean and looked very new and modern but on the other hand: No coffee / tea, There was a minibar with some wine and soft drinks but no beer,No glasses to be found anywhere (so I guess, just drink the wine from the bottle),WiFi works but not very stable - keeps dropping out. At breakfast, the skybar was now open - 2 people in front of me for the coffee machine which was quite slow - turned out they were not guests - but the breakfast room staff!. When they finally had their coffee they went straigth out onto the open terrasse for a cigarette (very small outdoor terrase and the staff now occupied 1/3 of it) and started chatting quite loudly - so terrasse is just as much for the staff - not the guests only. And really - if staff of any kind of establishment wants to have a loud discussion, do so away from the guests!! Breakfast was very poor - quite frankly pathetic! - some dry toast bread, a little bit of cheese and some slices of what looked like ham/salami - nothing warm like e.g. eggs (of course the staff were busy out on the terrasse smoking and having a loud conversation). Definately not worth any money at all - instead head out for one of the many cafes very close by. The lobby has what looks like a bar, but all they sell is coffee. Big surprise to me when late afternoon after a long walk i came back, asked for a cold beer and was told they didnt have any!! You can have some wine from the minibar, but you cant have a beer anywhere. The day of departure i waited a little in the lobby for my taxi to the airport. Need to use a bathroom?? Too bad - just like the lift, out of order. This would be fixed ”in a day or 2” so clearly not a priority for this place. Wifi, although it did work in the room - no luck in the lobby - could not connect at all. The guy in the lobby was nice enough but most of the time you will find him outside, having a smoke. All in all, extremely dissapointed with this place. Wish i had gone back to Hello Hotel instead - breakfast much much better, you can

Fantastic hotel with great design, very quiet and relaxing. The hotel has a modern lobby and a stylish restaurant. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Excellent and very helpful staff. They treat their customers just like family. Definitely I will recommend this hotel.

When I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience. Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so. The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was travelling by train.

The hotel is situated a few metres from the Gara de Nord railways station and underground station, so it is very easy to reach. The check-in procedure was fast, room clean with a large bed, toilet, shower, TV set, hairdryer etc. The door is card-operated, mine unfortunately didn´t work properly, so I had to go to the reception desk twice but the girl was really helpful. Breakfast is served in the adjacent building from 7 .00 to 10.30, quite a good range of things to choose from. Wi-fi connection strong and stable. Next time in Bucharest I will definitely try to get a room here again.

In general, a good hotel, it liked that there was a transfer from/to the airport. It is convenient for filing U.S. visa documents (near). But in the center of the city far-to (in the morning of the traffic in this direction) ...
