Currently here at the moment and tbh I’m disappointed! Not like the reviews say. It’s a good 45 min walk to the centre of Budepest. The breakfast is lack lustre at most! Luke warm hot drinks, only one side of the toaster works and very basic buffet. Rooms have no tv, or hairdryers! The amenities it says are here simply aren’t, rooftop bar closed, pasta shop never open, spar next door is very limited hours and the staff are rude. If your wanting somewhere to stay with things around it don’t stay here it feels like your in the middle of no where. Nothing much around it so do expect to be walking quite a way to get to anything. I comply understand it’s geared towards student but even these must be bored to tears with the lack of amenities around the hotel, not even anywhere to grab a bite to eat within a good 10 min walk. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not On a plus note the reception staff are lovely

We booked this with Jet2 City Breaks and the picture of the room did look so much better! The room was very basic. There was no tea/coffee making facilities and no mini bar. There was a safe and a hairdryer. You were only given one towel each and one floor towel - no face towels! The room was very warm and we had to leave the window open all the time...The reception area was very nice though and we used the breakfast buffet which did have a fair selection of hot and cold food. Staff were friendly. We found that we were on the wrong side of the river for nightlife and shopping and we kept having to get trams or use the underground to get to the other side as the bridge nearest to us (Liberty Bridge) was closed to pedestrians. It was in a very quiet neighbourhood so no noise at night. We loved Budapest but we were not impressed with the hotel and location.

First of all, it's really good to reserve a spot. The outer edge of the building is a variety of colorful pipes, which are very eye-catching and easy to find. The yellow bus stop is diagonally opposite the hotel lobby on the right. It takes two minutes to walk there. Turn left and walk straight for a few minutes to the subway entrance and exit. There is a chain bakery where you can buy fresh bread and drinks. The hotel lobby is quite comfortable, with quite a lot of guests. Several young people at the front desk are polite but not smiling. Check-in is quite fast, and you can also store luggage for free. The room is not big but quite good. The hotel does not provide toiletries and disposable slippers, which need to be prepared by yourself. My order seems to have no breakfast, but the front desk told me that there is breakfast after checking in. I was very happy. I went to taste it opposite the lobby on the first floor the next day. The food is quite rich, but the various breads are relatively hard, and the toast is soft. Some are cut and some are not cut. You can cut it yourself, but the taste is salty, which surprised me. The various sausages are really delicious, and there are many varieties of cereals and nuts beside the milk. The fruit is fresh, and the honey is also delicious. I stayed for one night and checked out quickly. Overall, I recommend that you can stay again when you come to Budapest

Sometime people who write reviews are not objective and some others they are simply guilty. Well, while I was thinking to have been ignored, the staff of this hotel was working silently for me in the back stage. So that, first of all: THANKS A LOT TO EVERYONE. I apologize for my fault. I’m grateful for your promptness in sending to my home a stuff forgotten at the hotel. Coming to the experience, once upon a time…a way to manage hospitality. Here the hospitality is full of care. The hotel is perfectly located, a few walk from Chains Bridge , tram train and Budapest Parliament. When you get in you are enraptured by the stunning, lustful lobby and by the aroma on the air. We stay in a suite, which has all the amenities you need and a touch of elegance you do not find everywhere. The staff is all kind and helpful, starting from the valet Parker, the Concierge team, the Person who brings your luggage. Every need is considered with professionalism, respect and care. A special mention to the breakfast: you’ll find a right variety of international suggestions. What is it important to point out is the freshness and the quality of the food. In this case too, only few times the food quality related to a top rated hotel respect the expectation. Here the reality went over expectation. Finally, we can say to have been stayed at our home because each time we reach the hotel it was like we have been living there. Many thanks for the special delights founded into the room to celebrate my wife’s special occasion. Beautiful hotel downstairs, but rooms are very tired, they are not as bright and vibrant as on the website. Our room on the 4th floor had no pictures on the walls and lacked the basic items. You could also hear the upstairs guests which was very annoying at 4am! The bathroom was also very dated. The Balcony was a lovely feature in the room. We asked for an iron only to be told there was an ironing room on the ground floor, this was really inconvenient. We went for lunch at the bar which was awful, my burger was rock hard and took ages to come and they only replaced it with the same thing. The location is great if you are heading out into the city. It does the job for a city break hotel.

One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

Hospitality at this hotel is pretty much non-existent, especially for what I'd expect of a Novotel. It starts with having no doorman. You'll see this a few times in others comments. They give you one water bottle in your room. Don't expect them to replace it throughout your stay though. That'd be a lot to ask. Room service? I'm not sure if they cleaned the rooms during our stay. They did make the beds. That's about all. When I asked where I might find water, I was rudely directed to purchase a bottle from the restaurant. This is unheard of to me. Filtered water should always be freely provided. The breakfast was also quite mediocre. Huge lineup for coffee, no brewed coffee, which would be quicker to serve. Staff not around. For the price, the breakfast is certainly not worth it. Not a great experience. I won't be returning.

Stayed 5 nights for a conference with 3 other colleagues. Quaint hotel that looks its age. Had very friendly and helpful staff handling check in/out. Had taken a suite, but it was rather small. Main door opened into an anteroom with 2 internal doors - 1 of which led into bedroom (just enough space for a double bed with 2 small side tables). The other door led into a small living room (space for dressing table, couch, TV, and a small round table with a chair). Bathroom is a little dim. Breakfast buffet had standard ham and cheese cuts, scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, fruits - repeated daily. Noticed the staff change the cutlery after each dinner, but the placemats on the table is not changed. Location is excellent with nearby train and bus station leading to all major attractions. Also have supermarkets nearby.

Our daughter booked us this hotel as part of a 3 night trip to Budapest as a Christmas gift. After visiting Budapest herself, she thought we’d love it so booked us the trip. I don’t normally write reviews, but I thought the hotel had been served an injustice with lots of the other reviews we’d read. We’d read lots that said it was in an awful and unsafe area. The hotel is on a side street, in a city away from the centre, no different to any side street in a city we’d seen before. We saw one homeless person in a doorway, and sometimes people gathered chatting outside the Spar shop at the top of the road, and the other shops…not much of a problem. We didn’t feel unsafe or find the street to be noisy. You are a little bit out of the centre, but the bus stop and metro are conveniently located just around the corner. We used the bus which was very cheap, or free, as sometimes we were just waved on. Once inside our room we heard very little noise, from within the hotel itself, or from the road outside…only the occasional siren. The towels and sheet’s were good, and the room clean, pillows also nice quality and extras in the wardrobe. Room a comfortable temperature. The beds are low to the ground, and the mattresses firmer than we are used to, but after a 12 hour day sightseeing, and a few cocktails/beers we slept reasonably well. Little ******s with the room, a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice for a morning cuppa before heading out. There is a small bar in the reception area where you could get coffee though, and plenty of cafes on the main street. The hairdryer overheated quite quickly and cut out. But only minor issues. The staff were not particularly chatty (us Brits love a chat!) however, helpful and courteous when needed. All in all a good stay and a good base to explore…what do you do from a hotel room? For us to sleep and shower 🤷🏻‍♀️ Budapest is an amazing city, so much to see and do, we absolutely loved exploring, enjoy!

My dear friends, this post is going to be about one hotel in Budapest near the airport. Generally my stay was for couple days and it was not bad. However, the location of the hotel was not so close to the airport and anyway you have to take a taxi. The building and design inside is stucked in beginning of 2000 years. It is need to be updated with fresh and new one furniture, to be honest. But, in general rooms are quite big and there are enough space. I stayed in the room with balcony even. It was clean and smelled good, what is really important. Breakfast buffet line provides guests with fresh meal and wide range of snacks, fruits and pastry. Once for dinner I have choose burger with sweet potato fries - it was tasty and a lot. Here you may find the ping pong table to play and sauna and jacuzzi as well. Only because of service and people who is working there I gave “very good” mark, because staff was always friendly and tried to do their job professionally and kindly according to the guests. If owners would renew this hotel and create the resort it will be really great hotel to stay.
