Mercure Bukhara Old Town

The room was good with great amenities. The Hotel itself has a Uzbek feel with the sandstone coloured walls and mosaic details in the alcoves . The spa was great . I had a Thai massage and my Masseur was Evan who did a splendid job! I was feeling the relaxing effect of the massage even on the third day . The breakfast buffet was also really good. The shower in the bathroom was also a great one , which is always a positive after a tiring day of walking . Sunita, traveller from India

Hotel Shams
4.5/57 Reviews
This hotel is outside the city, but there is a small road to the hotel, ten minutes to 15 minutes to walk. The positioning of the hotel is correct, and the positioning on Baidu is wrong. The hotel feels like a family-style service hotel. The rooms are very good, very clean and relatively large. It is also a middle and upper level in the local area. There is a swimming pool throughout the hotel, there is a large living room that can also change money, and the exchange rate is not bad. The service staff is very warm, especially the elderly couple is very friendly to us. English is also good. You can see the photos in the room.
Salom Inn
4.7/510 Reviews
There is probably no more pleasant stay for a tourist in Bukhara than around the old pond of Lyabi Hauz. To the 'Salom Inn' it is hardly 100m meters from there through an arch onto a pedestrian alley. The hotel is in an old town house with a lovely courtyard, where one can sit down and relax and where also breakfast is served (for colder times there is an indoor breakfast area). My room was in a corner of the first floor, thus I had the privilege of windows on the side towards another alley. I was glad that I had booked a twin room, so I could profit from the unused bed as a storage place, since that was missing. There were some hooks on the wall with metal cloth hangers and also two drawers, but full with blankets and bed covers (completely useless in this season). What I liked was the old ceiling with beams, the carpets and the well sized bathroom had shampoo and bath gel dispensers in the shower. Also the bed was comfortable. In the evenings one gets asked about the preferred breakfast time, which is served as of 8am. Fruits are brought, usually melons, then bread, margarine, slices of cheese, yoghurt and two very sweet jams. It was fun to watch that the wasps and bees always went for the quince jam, not the cherry. There is also a choice of omelette or fried eggs. It was strange to observe that every time breakfast was served, with all the food, coffee cup and cutlery, never a plate came along. Was one supposed to smear the margarine onto the bread slice in one's palm? A plate only comes with the eggs, if one has ordered any. They have beautiful plates and maybe there had been a problem, that they got stolen. Even when one has hardly finished eating, the plate gets taken away without asking by a rather unfriendly lady, who also works at reception. The leftover food though can stay there for a long time afterwards. My suggestion to the hotel is to use cheaper plates and to leave all that stress.
Amulet Hotel
4.8/539 Reviews
We stayed in Amulet hotel for 4 nights. Our room was 2/1 it was small room but after a few hours being there we felt very comfortable. It is a traditional madrasa building that is why we chose to stayed there. The hotel is located near a very busy road however we haven’t heard any noises from the road. The staff were very polite and friendly we barely saw them, however our room was cleaned always on time and breakfast was ready as soon as we sat dawn. Breakfast was excellent we enjoyed it a lot. My favourite was fried cheesecake and Uzbek porridge. The manager of the hotel was very helpful and polite. He was serving us our breakfast and tea in the afternoon with traditional sweets. We were looking forward to come back to Amulet hotel after walking around Bukhara. Highly recommended!
Rayyan Hotel Bukhara
4.5/512 Reviews
I arrived in Bukhara on the last train from Samarkand really late on a very cold winter night. It turned out that I booked for a wrong night. Despite my late night unannounced show-up past 11pm, the staff welcomed me with arms wide open as if welcoming back a family member! They asked how my trip was and if I would need anything (I badly needed a phone charger). The courtyard is very special and the drawing room decor is gorgeous. The room was basic, but has all you need and well cared and super clean. Rashid (a receptionist) kindly explained the history of the property and the interior decor carving (influenced by some Jewish tradition). The hotel is located in the center of the historic sites and you can walk to all the major places you may want to visit in Bukhara. The breakfast was yummy. I would definitely go back there again to stay longer next time. Thanks to all the staff at Rayyan Hotel for their incredible hospitality!
