Arrived late (23:30) to find we were in the bottom corner room so it did not bode well. Drunken 'guests' mm asking telephone calls in the corridor. Room had not been aired, black out curtains had pin holes in them, carpet was more 'like Travelodge', emergency exit outside our room looked worn and well used! Hmmm. Got in to a soggy bed, so much for the good night's rest guarantee! Used the loo, the seat was loose, even worse the whole WC wobbled when you sat on it (only fixed in placed with mastic (if there were any screws / bolts they had taken the day off). Oh yes, only one towel so had to make trek to the reception. However, if you remove the key card the lights go off (smart switch meant you could not use a credit card in the slot), so my wife had to stay in the room in dark while I went for the towel (and a spare card, in case we needed to go out to the car later). The 'guests' upstairs sounded like troops on a parade ground. They kept us up late, ..... Then started up again at 05:30. Fed up to the back teeth, I went to complain to the night manager at 06:10.
