Premier Inn Caerphilly Crossways

picked this hotel for the convenience, staff very friendly, booked a twin room got a double asked at reception couldn’t change room as full. room not dirty but very old and worn. bed clean bathroom clean had to go to reception for the 2nd time as no towels in room. was on ground floor, floor boards VERY noisy from people walking around upstairs.

Usually happy with Premier Inn but this time we were given the disabled room which felt a bit tired. Then in the evening suffered frequent door banging just outside our room and later a full blown row in another room with children crying and adults shouting. In other respects the stay was fine and the door banging did not happen on the second night but you always remember the bad bits.

Not the best Premier I've stayed in but OK. Good parking and bar next door. Communal area's could have been cleaner. Corridors, stairways etc hadn't been vacuumed for ages!

Perfect stay. Calm and quiet room. Clean with excelkent facilities in room. Close to amenities. Helpful friendly staff. Reasonable price.

Great hotel, warm, welcoming and helpful staff, relaxing stay, just what I’d hoped for, would definitely recommend staying here.

Arrived late (23:30) to find we were in the bottom corner room so it did not bode well. Drunken 'guests' mm asking telephone calls in the corridor. Room had not been aired, black out curtains had pin holes in them, carpet was more 'like Travelodge', emergency exit outside our room looked worn and well used! Hmmm. Got in to a soggy bed, so much for the good night's rest guarantee! Used the loo, the seat was loose, even worse the whole WC wobbled when you sat on it (only fixed in placed with mastic (if there were any screws / bolts they had taken the day off). Oh yes, only one towel so had to make trek to the reception. However, if you remove the key card the lights go off (smart switch meant you could not use a credit card in the slot), so my wife had to stay in the room in dark while I went for the towel (and a spare card, in case we needed to go out to the car later). The 'guests' upstairs sounded like troops on a parade ground. They kept us up late, ..... Then started up again at 05:30. Fed up to the back teeth, I went to complain to the night manager at 06:10. Eventually found him outside, having a break. Very understanding, and about to go and investigate when two people came out. THEIR CARD KEY SAID "*ROOM 120*" You guessed, they were the ones above us! What a clean and welcoming hotel would recommend it to you even if it was just for one night we'll worth it

Typical Premier Inn with a clean room and friendly staff. Charmaine on reception was very friendly and always had a big smile and a chat on the way in and out - it felt like she was permanently on duty! There were a few little things which did not bother me at all but could others. The floor is the creakiest I have experienced in a Premier inn, and the TV did not line up with the end of the bed. As I say though didn't bother me at all. Also the first time I didn't have a purple light above the bed!!

Very disappointed that my stay did not live up to precious stays in the same hotel chain. The lock on the bathroom door did not work and there was no privacy cover on the security peephole. Restaurant service was abysmal and we did not even get an apology when we complained. Would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone.
