Right by the sea, you can see the sea from the balcony. It's a little far from downtown Cairns, not noisy, and very convenient. Clean and sanitary services are also very good. The hotel has its own swimming pool. Because I stayed in Cairns for a long time, I spent more time swimming in the hotel's swimming pool. I chose a place with a little sunshine to lie down and read a book. It was a very good experience.

Absolutely filthy and disappointing. The only good thing was the bed, view and location. Mould everywhere. Bathroom fan didn’t work. Dust everywhere. Tile grout filthy, corners of room where tile was absolutely filthy. Dirt just brushed into the corner. Needs a scrub. Thier was grubby mould you could wipe off with your finger all over the bathroom. Yucky shower curtain. There was dried liquid on the bed head. Soooo gross. Lamp shades were even stained and dirty!!! Restaurant was vacant the whole time. Very out dated. Not enticing at all! You can find better cleaner experience in a motel. Staff were friendly. I Feel bad for them. Our room was full of mould. Don’t bother paying for parking. Thier car park is open to the public and fills up fast. It’s not secure. Just park on the road out back. Location was good. Only book for emergency, otherwise stay somewhere else especially if you want a romantic special time. Photos don’t do justice how dirty it looks in person. Also they just put a top sheet over the quilt so who knows how often they wash the quilt, and when you sleep the sheet moves and the quilt might touch you, so gross. Invest in a quilt cover at least

Fantastic service from the staff who do a great job. The building itself and facilities are in need of refurbishment, it looks and feels a bit tired.

Room is good but DO NOT order room service. Over priced plus delivery fee for a very basic Caesar salad served in a paper bowl and bag and a very over priced milkshake. Customer service has definitely gone out the window. Bad choice Rydges your brand is now down there with Uber. Poor.

The hotel has improved dramatically since we last stayed there 2 years ago. The staff are very friendly and accomodating. We were there for 4 night and opted out of room servicing and we gained a $10 credit per night for that. The 20% discount on restaurant food and drinks if you are a priority guest rewards member is another big bonus. The room was very comfortable and we had a marvellous sea view. Absolutely nothing to complain about….

The staff was bery friendly and the restaurant was good too for breakfast. But the hotel needs a serious refreshing, it feels like it was left to itself for a long time.
