We are repeat customers of the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort. And we will continue to be repeat customers. We not only stay there but we rent their conference room for workshops. It is the total package. Great location -walking distance to great restaurants. Free Coffee and tea at 6:00 AM Friendly knowledgeable front desk service. And to top it off, Corey Isherwood who was our liaison person for workshops continued to make sure everything was on time and ready to go. Corey goes above and beyond to be sure all the details are taken care of. This is a huge relief if you are doing workshops. Like a fine watch that does everything you ask, we don't want anything to change. Too bad we can't give it more stars. Lori and Ellyn

The front desk service was huge. We arrived at the hotel at around 12 o'clock in the evening. We had a long-distance drive all day. We thought that the sheraton service could not be bad. I knew that the front desk was a fat white man. When I checked in, I kept rolling my eyes all the time. When I applied for membership, I was too sleepy and didn't respond. I asked a question. The front desk immediately replied, ”I am very busy today, don't ask me to see it yourself.” At that time, I thought it might be too late. The front desk had emotions, and it was true that in April, it was obvious that the trash was a hostile phenomenon. After the completion of the process, I did not tell me how to find the room, just an understatement, ”Go through the door.” As a result, there was only 3 floors in the back of the lobby, and our room number was 50. I asked him back. He confirmed that he was on the 5th floor. He immediately left the lobby and told him not to look back. In desperation, I had to bite the scalp on the third floor. Fortunately, I met a couple of black couples who went downstairs to buy wine in the middle of the night. They were very friendly and said that they also found a room for a long time during the day. The actual situation is that the sheraton hotel and the next resort share the lobby and porch. You need to go upstairs through the hotel room corridor, find a glass door at the end, swipe the card and then take the elevator to the resort floor. On the night of the check-in, I sent a complaint letter to the Shereton complaint mailbox. It has been two months since I saw it. Today I saw the app reminder comment. The disgusting feeling of Lima is coming to the fore, and I have to give a bad review.

In a square, across the road is Ole Ole is close to the hotel. There are seven or eight restaurants on the side of the hotel. There is a free shuttle bus to Legoland. The parking place is 10 meters next to the park gate. It is more convenient and cheaper than own parking!
The room facilities are relatively old. The two-story small building before the cycling hotel was surrounded. A small pool can be called a resort hotel. The resort fee is also collected. For the resort fee, you have to go for a swim. Breakfast is better than the room Be average.
But look at the price compared with the surroundings. The location and the tip are not too cute to the shuttle driver. I will choose here next time.

We had a very enjoyable time. Make sure even though you are staying at the hotel to make reservations for breakfast and dinner. We went for breakfast one morning and we were told 1 hour wait or sit out side. It was very cold outside. We picked not to eat breakfast that day and went into park. Therefore we had to pay for breakfast in the park. There were empty table inside. Also dinner we did not make reservations and empty table and told to wait for 30 minutes. Other than the eating we had a great time . Rooms were well taken care of.

The hotel is worthy of being a Hilton, with drinking ice water, hot springs and swimming pools. It is very close to Legoland, a 10-minute walk, and not far from the beach, where you can see the sunset over the sea. The American restaurant in the hotel has authentic taste and large portions.

The hotel is next to Lego Park~ It is the most convenient place if you go to Lego to play. The parking fee is 22 dollars for a day~ When you enter the door, you can tell the entrance that you can pay for parking at the hotel if you stay in the hotel. The hotel will give you a card for you to enter and leave the hotel. One of the advantages of staying in a hotel is that you can enter Legoland early to play~ Breakfast at the hotel is still OK. If you have a Chinese stomach, you probably need to buy something to eat with you~ Because the breakfast is very American~ The temperature of the air-conditioning in the hotel room is a bit problematic, but not at night Warm breeze~ Because I came to California in winter, it’s still a bit cold at night~ Also, it’s better to check the official Lego website to see if the door is open when I come in the off-season. Because the opening time is uncertain in winter~ I just caught up to it this time. It’s also a good choice to spend a night in Lego hotel to enjoy the tranquility

I had a great stay here and would definitely pick them again for future travels in the area. First of all Hannah at the front desk was great during check in. I thought employees like her didn't exist and are only portrayed as such on TV, but nope, perfect employees do exist and one of them works here. As for the hotel itself, its clean inside and out. Location and surrounding areas look clean and safe in a perspective of travelers not from around here. There is a Tesla Supercharger station literally across the street, as well as a 7-Eleven and some other small eateries at ”The Island” plaza I believe it's called. Legoland is very close by. The rooms were spacious and reminds you of a Embassy Suite or Extended Stay. This has a FULL kitchen, complete with sink, dishwasher, full size fridge, and an electric cooktop. Plates, utensils, etc are also included. So you can definitely cook here. The Living Area is roomy with a sofa bed. I will add though if you have people sleeping on the sofabed, the bathroom is only accessible by going through the main bedroom. WIFI/internet is included and plenty fast for everyday tasks. It was also reliable with no drops or reconnecting issues. The rooms seem a bit more dated than the main lobby and grounds area, but it's not a big deal or deal breaker. Breakfast is included and it's just OK. Hard to beat Embassy Suite's made to order omelettes at this similar price range. There are a variety of choices which usually are eggs, 2 protein choices (sausages/ham), potatoes, oatmeal, make your ow waffles, variety of breads, fruits, yogurt, juices, etc. The outdoor space is very nice with a pool, hot tub, half court basketball sport court, fire pit, grills if someone wants to grill. There is also a gym with weights, cardio machines. Parking was free also. The price isn't the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. For a family, this is a good option or for those who want something more roomy since its a suite.

Booked this property based on experience at other Home2's, but IMO, it fell short of the standards for the brand. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful, coffee and tea kept stocked, and location great for those going to Legoland. However, the king suite with curtain didn't offer the privacy for one person to sleep and the other to read or do anything besides sit in the dark, as the curtain is translucent and doesn't filter light (see photos). To make it worse, lamplight reflects off the TV screen, doubling the effect. Room doors will either slam loudly or, if one tries to not slam it, will not quite close completely to lock without an extra tug, a safety issue. Biggest disappointment was with the breakfast area, which appears to have staffing and resource management issues (see photos). The hot dishes are not labeled. I thought the pan of white mystery clumps contained fresh cheese curds at first, an unusual offering, but whatever... Then I took a bite...disgusting...imagine what unseasoned boiled earlobes might taste like. I had to ask what it was when I could finally locate someone working in the kitchen. It was supposedly scrambled egg whites, which made a daily appearance the week I was there, along with pork sausages (had to ask about that, too, since I don't eat pork). Gluten-free options are limited to proteins and fruit, with Cheerios in a large dispenser, subject to cross-contamination. Fresh fruit was not wrapped. I saw one guest handle each and every apple before he selected one. Ewww. Each day, there was a shortage of plates (see photo with no plates under or on counter). I was delighted to finally be able to eat on my last day there, when the pre-packaged hot bites included a delicious gluten-free frittata instead of the Jimmy Dean pork breakfast sandwiches which had been the only choice for days before. Will probably stay somewhere else next time.

GGuest UserBooked a two night stay here when I was in the San Diego area for work. While the property is aging, I can see that they try to maintain its upkeep pretty well. Unfortunately, there were some issues of concern that made the experience less than amazing. I wasn't expecting an Intercontinental (I've stayed at two ICs this past year) - but being that it is part of the IHG, I was expecting at least decent service. Pros: * The IHG website/app were having issues due to the hack. I finally was able to book a reservation, but called the morning of to confirm. Todd was friendly and efficient, was able to confirm my reservation (booked directly through the hotel), view preferences and noted my late checkout request. * Lili was the front desk agent when I checked in. She was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. She also was able to notate my late checkout request for 2pm. * I reached out to Lili shortly after checking into my room and noticed what looked like pet hairs (see attached photos) in a corner of the room. She expressed genuine concern after I showed her the photos, and had Yolanda stop by with a vacuum cleaner. * Centrally located to groceries and restaurants (walking distance to Trader Joe's!). * Courtyard view rooms have better noise insulation from the road - a good thing considering that the hotel property fronts a major roadway (Palomar Airport Road). * Rooms have a mini-fridge, which is helpful since most hotels don't offer one. * The hotel's on-site restaurant, Stratus - was open everyday for breakfast/dinner - their buttermilk pancakes are great. Cons: * The pet hair situation led me to wonder what other shortcuts was taken (or not taken) in turning over the room. If you look at the photos, this wasn't a stray pet hair here and there - the amount of hair should've been noticeable if the turnover was just a bit more thorough. * The wireless internet kept cutting out throughout the stay. I'm not sure where the router is, but perhaps the hotel can consider adding a few wireless access points throughout the property, since the signal kept getting dropped. * The walls are thin. I was next to a guy that played his TV on at full blast - it sounded like a concert every night. I could hear vividly his phone conversations (colorful language) too. * Late checkout was inconsistent. Todd noted my request initially over the phone - he said he would be able to offer 1:30pm. Lili upon checkin, confirmed it for 2pm. My card stopped working at 12:30pm when I left to move some of my belongings to my car. I waited behind 3 other guests before I was able to be helped and Veronica asked if I was still checking out at 1pm. I mentioned the later time that Lili offered and even pointed out that had my card still worked, I wouldn't have lost 30 minutes waiting in line and probably would've been able to check out by 1pm. * When I finally managed to get back into my room to remove the rest of my stuff, I went back down to the front desk. Which had four
LLEIThe rooms are very large and clean. The pool is divided into adults and children. The children must go to the children's pool every day. There is a great beer house restaurant at the entrance of the hotel. You can solve the problem by visiting Legoland. Outlet is less than 5 minutes drive from the hotel, recommend the Grand Pacific Hotel to Legoland, walk no more than 10 minutes
LL7360FIpbHorrible business practices at this Motel 6. Worst experience someone could have with a hotel, on a Friday. No rooms were available but evidently I had caught the last minutes of their lower rate. How could I know? Man slammed down the phone on me. I was lied to, with an hour to vacate. There were plenty of rooms just for 15.00$ more. I had a guaranteed and paid reservation. Jerks. And they never tried to help me or make things right. Don't trust these people. Don't stay here longer term. If you need basic empathy or have a problem no one can really help, which is a bad situation.Rooms are great but the user friendliness is absent. I felt discrimated against. What apology could fix something like that or how this management disrespects its paying guests? Terrible service.
GGuest UserThe room, definitely needs an upgrade. A desk chair that is not ripped, a bathroom mirror that is hung straight and a TV unit that is not scratch, oh an a TV with more than about 10 digital channels would be nice. We didn’t get hand soap to wash our hands in the bathroom, I asked about this and apparently there was none. Very unhygienic of the hotel not to offer soap considering the last two years of life. Also your elevators certificate is out of date. Breakfast is nice, they are all the same only I would like to just have staying guest attended breakfast. As on a few occasion people entered straight from the street one lady that helped herself too breakfast even had an ankle monitor on and was quite happy to tell everyone trying to eat breakfast. If breakfast is open to helping people that need it, I understanding only it would be nice for paying guest to know that breakfast is open to anyone that knows about it. During our stay we had a group of school soccer players over two days, which means that more food is generally eaten and drunk. Two mornings we had to use milk that was not in the individual cartons, bananas were never seen after day 1, yogurt choices were down to one and no hot chocolate. Yes, it is hard to keep everyone happy with supply but this group of school kids would have booked in advance, maybe the hotel should prepare for this situation. Room service, I did not put out the green sign and wanted my room cleaned, do you think it happened? No, I went to reception to ask why and was told that they are under staffed and had to clean a 5th of the rooms. I am glad that me as a guest is not seen as a priority to have a roomed clean, clearly my hard earned money is not worth the time. As a hotel guest you pay to have these services if the hotel can not offer these services, tell the guest or offer a discount for half the services of the hotel. Pool, the morning of Sunday at my stay I went for a swim, around 10am. Firstly the pool was not open, it apparently opens at 9am. Once we got it open pool towels were not available as they were all over the ground from the day/night before. Yes, I know it is hard to get staff, if this is the case close half the hotel and let the guests know otherwise you are expecting these facilities to be functional and up to some sort of standard when paying full price for a stay.
GGuest UserIt can be said that it is the cheapest one in the entire San Diego county, but the room is small but clean. It doesn't smell like other motels! Good location. It takes 5 minutes to get to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, and parking is very convenient. It’s the manager of the front desk, the couple is A3. If you exchange, Curry English is a little hard to understand...
清清客This motel is quite large. We just happened to catch up with the holiday price of the Christmas holiday. It is a little inconvenient that the room does not have a refrigerator and a microwave oven. Heating the food should go to the public area.
GGuest UserI think this place recently changed hands. The evening staff that greeted me when I arrived was eating her dinner - noodles- at the check in desk. Nevermind Covid still being a ' thing' , she continued to eat while checking me in. She was extremely rude and acted like checking me in was more of an annoyance than anything else. She didn't tell me what room I had, what the WiFi password was, amenities etc. The inhospitality of the staff remained the norm throughout my entire stay. That is with the exception of one housekeeping person and a new staff member named Christopher. The door magnet didn't work The coffee was like Folgers and terrible There weren't any drinking glasses in the room and only one coffee cup The bed was so soft I had to put a pillow under my back I could go on Trust me there's a lot more But suffice it to say All in all A motel 6 would have been more comfortable This was not a great experience. However ALL could have been overlooked if the staff was friendly. They should hire Christopher to manage it He knows hospitality. Oh and I should add That at checkout time The owner it manager who wears a shiny tan suit Makes sure there's a police car outside ready to get rid of any guests who don't check out in time. That's right - he's a pushy mafioso type person. Very rude and in your face. Too to the hotel Get the shiny suit guy off the property. He's bad for biz. Carlsbad is a high end destination place and he is more appropriate for Folsom.
