I do not know where the positive reviews are coming from? We booked this hotel from our home in Ohio based on pictures and what appeared to be a nice place. I utilized points for one of the nights and booked the 2nd night with a credit card (that particular night was refundable). We arrived on our first night. Checked in; however, it was observed that an employee was spraying Febreeze outside the entrance. The lobby area was dark. We received our room card and walked down and spooky hallway with not a lot of light. Walked into our room to mattresses that were very flat - looked like they had seen better days. :( Pulled back the covers to check, and found something on the sheets. That was it! We took our suitcases and walked back to the front desk. I informed the person at the desk that this was not going to work for us, and we wanted our points to be refunded. I then asked and rechecked that our second night would be canceled. I was assured that it would be. Well, we arrive home to find that no points have been put back in our account, AND THEY CHARGED US for the second night which had the ability to be canceled as late as 6:00PM on the day it was reserved for. I canceled the night before. I called the national customer service. They have been attempting to get my points back; however, I have felt they have leaned more towards the hotel then providing good customer service to their loyalty member. I tried calling the hotel again. Asked to speak to a manageer. Was disconnected. Called back. Asked to speak to a manager. Was told that there was not one available at the moment. I communicated to the person I was talking to that I was ticked. I gave a few of the details. She then told me that I was being rude, that I should threaten (didn't say anything threatening--just said I was ticked), told her that we had been told by local people that it was not a good hotel. Finally, contacted my credit card company. This hotel is a joke! DO NOT BOOK with THEM.
