Castle Motel

A very good standard motel. Nice to have fridge, toaster, microwave, jug with tea & coffee, so very easy to self-cater breakfast. If I was to be very picky, an in-room safe would be good, but other then that, a very good, comfortable stay. Will definitely stay again.

The room was very large and clean. The shower was equal to any I've ever used in Motels, Strong and Hot! The Air conditioner had a slight, intermittent squeak, which stopped when I gave it gentle persuasion. A very pleasant stay, I will come again!

Humble host. Close to all shops in town Clean rooms. We reached bit early than our checkin time.. Was offered all assistance without asking Smooth check in and w Will definitely go again to explore the area. Highly recommend. For a family trip

We were 3 single ladies on a road trip to visit a friend in Castlemaine. The hotel was perfect for us. We were on a budget and only stayed the one night (most Air BnB options had a 2 night minimum). We booked a family room that had a queen bed in the living space and a seperate room with 2 single beds. The room was quite and the beds comfortable. The bathroom looked newly renovated and the shower was fabulous. We would definately book here again and absolutely loved Castlemaine as a base for the area.

Very Clean rooms, so happy with all our rooms and we had 4. Great services when one family requested porta cot, great price over all very impressed and would return. Location close to everything you need. Even catered for us when requesting extra room at last minute.

Castlemaine was our first stop of the big drive to Alice Springs to attend the Desart Desertmob festival. The weather all day had been atrocious, the wind constantly buffeting the car causing a white knuckled hold on the steering wheel and the rain a constant distracting addition. We remained stoic despite the foregoing of our planned picnic lunch and having to climb over whichever seat to access the side of the car not affected by the wind just so we could open the car door. Our much longed for arrival at the Castle Motel was exactly as we had prayed for; reception was welcoming and wonderfully efficient and the room immediately felt like a calm haven from the rage of the external forces. It was exactly as shown in the online photos, was perfectly proportioned, clean, homely and with every convenience. The shower allowed as much force as the rain we had driven through and the bed very comfortable. Our spirits were revived and we set out the next morning in a mood that could conquer every pot hole and stormy day with ease and grace. Thank you Jaz and Sunny.

Very comfortable beds in the family room .Service was friendly and very close walk to town. Although the pool was open, it was a bit too cold to swim! Great for an overnight stay and excellent value for money. We would certainly stay here again.

A well priced and well located motel in Castlemaine. The room was clean and tidy. The beds comfortable and the electric blankets were most appreciated. A microwave was available in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The garden needed some refreshing though and this would make a more positive impression on arrival.

Although very clean. The shower leaks through the wall. The light in the bathroom is intermittent. The room was missing a pillow and when I asked reception they only had a cushion as a replacement We stayed for three days so it was value for money. Easy walking into town so made eating easy. Woolworths are opening across the road soon. So that will make it easier for food
