We only stayed a night, but the bed was so comfortable o would have happily stayed in it all day! The room was spotless. The location was beautiful with well kept grounds, wild flowers, mushrooms and lots of birds. We ate dinner there. The menu is limited, but the food was well prepared and delicious. There is a lot of criticism in some reviews about the hotelier. She had very clear parameters -as long as you as a guest can be a bit flexible and considerate, I didn't see any problem. It is a big job keeping a place of that size going. I would visit again and recommend.

Unfriendly welcome, to the point that we felt like we were disturbing! Calling in advance to reserve the restaurant, the owner refused to allow us to have the children dine at the restaurant, then told us that the last service was at 7:30 p.m. (!). Having no other solution, we asked if we could have a picnic in the large park around the hotel (in an area hidden from view so as not to disturb): again, refusal from the owner who asked us to go to the village picnic area, with 4 children under 6 years old and while the storm was threatening. This “welcome” is not worthy of a 4 star, or any hotel for that matter. Also note: no place to park bikes (even though the hotel is on the Loire bike route).

Château hôtel de la Rozelle: No bathrobe or slippers, no possibility of specifying 'do not disturb' on the door; or occupy; no in-room breakfast service. No blinds so as not to be woken up at 6 a.m.! :( Noisy because of parquet flooring with carpet, of course, but great resonance when people walk. Very disappointed that this place is rated 4 stars!!!

The chalet is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, the rooms are clean and overall is a good hotel. It must be said that the greeting and customer service are very bad . The "lady of the castle" is very rude and unpleased to its guests, the staff is not at all accommodating and is not willing to fulfilled any kind of request (we asked if we could have a plate of vegetables for dinner and we were answered no, you could not have anything outside the menu) the atmosphere seems to be that of a college, strict rules and no one strays. I recommend to the staff to improve the manner and the attention to the customer because with this treatment I do not feel like giving 4 stars to the hotel but 2
