Hotels near Camping du Glacier D＇Argentiere, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

The location is very good, the facilities are perfect, and the service staff is warm. You can see the opposite of Bronx at the hotel. The hotel's swimming pool water is heated and you can swim in the late autumn season. It is a good choice to live here in Xiamoni.

The positives: The bed was comfortable and the views amazing if you have a mountain view! From there it all goes downhill fast and you may as well be staying in a Hostel! Check in is 4pm, at which point you're told due to the hotel's desire to protect the environment they've done away with one time use plastics and you're handed a glass bottle and told to go fill it at the dispenser! Sounds good, until you get to your room and find one time use plastic cups in the bathroom and one time use paper cups by the coffee maker along with plastic utensils, and you see that the lights used are not LED's! Looking around you realize there are no amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. So back to reception to ask about it? This is after all supposed to be a 4 star hotel!! At the reception you're told they have them behind the counter, all you have to do is ask for them??!! (4 star hotel??) You're handed a tray of ”one time use” amenities each one plastic and told to pick the ones you want! The hotels claim to be concerned for the environment is starting to feel a little disingenuous! We also had a real problem with the lighting in the rooms and bathroom. The bathroom lighting is terrible with the lights angled above you so the mirror is really useless because of the shadows! Whoever designed this did not have user friendly for the guest in mind! Also the shower stream was practically non existent, not enough force to rinse my hair and kept vacillating between tepid and too hot! Most of the ”front desk” people don't know anything about customer service and have had no training in it! A 4 star hotel at check-in should at least offer a map of the area and have some knowledge of the vicinity! That was not our experience.. we had to ask for a map! One gets the feeling this is just a temporary summer job for most of these people and they can't wait for this to be over! Obviously we don't recommend this hotel! I don't know how they ended up with a 4 star rating! We have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels and I can honestly say I've never stayed in one like this! It's definitely not a 4 star hotel.. It's a hostel masquerading as a hotel!

amazing HOTEL with 3 restaurant (check on your stay if all Open) dancing , bar, diner show ! Great experience , good atmosphere 1 thing only not liked : outside pool too cold , nobody inside as too cold !

The hotel restaurant, full of Chamonix center, seemed to us a cheap table and it proved not. At once we wanted a burger. So we're taking a burger. The meat cooking is perfect, the piquets are famous, the croissant frites, the brood toast. And a huge size! Then the cake to the delicious ananas! A nice playlist, not too many in view of the time, a laughtered servant with a delicious accent.

First some context: We are benchmarking our review based on stays at some of the premier properties around the world; Claridges in London, Peninsula in Hong Kong, Beau Rivage in Geneva. The Mont Blanc is easily in this category. Room: Met our expectations: Extraordinarily clean - good smellies - comfortable bed Food: Exceeded our expectations: Breakfast was plentiful and of great variety. Dinner at the hotel was among the best meals we have ever had. Great presentation and taste. Service Far exceeded our expectations: This is where MB really shines. From before our arrival, extremely responsive with emails. The staff was incredibly gracious and helpful. No request too large or small. Just book here, you will not be sorry!

The hotel is a perfect place for a family. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable, and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. A pleasant, modern, cozy, full of activities (ah, bowling ....) for the after-rando or after-ski. We have loved and will return there. Thank you for this experience that reminds us that hotels can still be practiced with good mood and sincereness.

This hotel is located quite far away from Chamonix. We stayed here for two nights during Mont Blanc Marathon, since almost all hotels in Chamo center were fully booked. The hotel has a perfect location for few hikes: You can walk to Bossons glacier and Merlet animal park from the hotel. Both places are behind a good hike (2-5 hours). The breakfast was ok. The pool was closed due to fire :( Avoid rooms towards the motorway. This was a good budget option during a peak moment, but next time I shall stay closer to Chamonix.

This is a fantastic hotel. The moment you are welcomed in you get a sense of the care people have taken with building this hotel. Everything optimizes the use of space well, is practical, and very nicely laid out. The rooms themselves are very unique and allow for privacy (lower and top levels) and have tons of storage space. Immaculately clean, with all soaps, gels, and hairdryer. Came with 3 bottles of complimentary water. No mini fridge or microwave in these rooms. The communal area and lobby are really set for you to relax and enjoy your time. Oh yeah they have an arcade machine in lobby you can play for free with a friend. When we were stranded for the night and needed to wait at the hotel until 3am for a taxi, the front desk offered a reduced rate for us, gave us blankets to keep warm, toothbrushes, and offered for us to use the shower room. BREAKFAST: This was 13 euros—there are not many options at all in this area for breakfast so it is worth the money if you do not want to eat in Chamonix proper. Selection of toast, pancakes, Jams, honey, cheeses, hot options included scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon, sausages. Teas, coffees, granola, cereal, and crescents as well. Overall breakfast was plentiful - only criticism some things could have been warmer. DINNER They have their own herb garden in the back and the dinner we had was exceptional. Never would think hotel made! they locally sourced all their items and specify where. Our waiter Ciel was extremely hospitable—everyone at the hotel tried their best to help us. Drinks were best of trip. The fried rissoto and fresh cod were wonderful. LAUNDRY They have a laundry room: 5 euros for a wash; 3 euros for dryer. These are large machines and we were able to fit two peoples laundry in one. TRANSIT Tourists can get a free day time travel card to use in transits from hotel. Do note if travelling in night bus in Chamonix you will need to play 2 euros. Bus stop right outside hotel and 15 min ride to city Center. It’s the culture of the hotel that stood out to me. I have been visiting France for many years and I LOVE the country. I favour the south because of the amazing weather and because it is close to Italy and to Spain but I have visited many towns and cities over the years. This hotel in Sallanches is excellent for travellers and in the same large area there are two Ibis Hotels and then loads of shops and bars, all near to a large Carrefour super market. The Style is lovely and has some covered parking which is GREAT when travelling by motorbike. Rooms and the bar are great. So what is not to like? Er. The staff. It seems from my experience that the French people are NOT good at serving and helping other folks, period. Last time I met with the Manager and he was sooooo kind, he moved his own motorbike to make space for mine. BUT the folks who work for him in reception are the opposite, they really do not seem to want guests!! The first TWO times I walked into reception with helmet and waterproofs they tried to direct me to the Ibis Budget, so I am a Budget kind of guy???? Awful. BUT the hotel is excellent. Despite them.
