The hotel overall was great. Perfect location to explore the plantation district. The inn also gives you private access to Middleton Place, which was nice to avoid the crowds. The rooms are on the rustic side, but maintained. Only complaints, we lost water pressure for several hours. Also, be aware that the rooms are in a very dusty/sandy area so that gets pulled into your room. The staff was nice and friendly. Happy hour snacks were a plus. Breakfast was typical fair; scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage/yogurt parfait and pastries. One thing to be aware of, the Inn is at least 30 minutes away from downtown Charleston as well as everything else. Dinner options outside of the plantation are none. That being said, we would definitely stay there again if in the area. So much history to explore. Also be aware that there are alligators in the pond areas, so watch your step (they warn you about them when you check in.).
