The representatives were all very friendly and informative. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The pool was very nice but a bit cool due to it’s always in shade between the Hotel and the neighboring building. Complimentary breakfast was a variety. From dry cerial, to hot oatmeal or grits, to waffles to eggs and fried potatoes with peppers. Very Nice. Only one suggestion would be to add a couple of towel holder hooks or racks so to be able to reuse.

Hotel was pretty nice, good gym, but sheets smelled a little weird and worst of all the shower didn't work. I didn't find out until this morning when I was checking out. I called Front Desk and requested help. The agent said she would send maintenance out. 15 minutes later I was still waiting so I called to try and see if anyone was coming or there was another room I could shower in as I had to leave for a business meeting. She said they were on their way. I was out of time so I had to do a makeshift sponge bath in the sink. YUCK! Maintenance showed up just as I was leaving the room and checking out. EXTREMELY disappointed.

March 2024 Staying for a visit with family on John’s Island. Very convenient, front desk staff very nice, large rooms, older hotel but clean with well stocked rooms. Breakfast provided, plenty of choices, food typical. Upon arrival you are told and written that there will be NO room service unless asked for so needless to say we were quite surprised when a woman came barging into our room the first morning, clearly with a pass key. She had no “normal” housekeeping cart with her, only a trash bin with what looked like a bag of some supplies. No identification or housekeeping clothing on. Could not speak any English to even explain why she was standing in our room. Needless to say she was escorted out. Second day it happened again but did not enter, only a slight knock. Front desk was notified both days. They were very apologetic explaining, new employees in training , no English etc. I get it but in this day and time it was quite unsettling to say the least not to mention a little sketchy. Just a reminder to lock up and protect your valuables, everywhere. Hopefully the hotel is diligently working to remedy this. Special note, for some reason there is a 2-3 in gap between the room door and the floor. Might want to take a towel and stuff under the door for extra privacy, safety etc. Very weird. Overall, financially it was fine. Will we stay there again? Not sure yet.

Breakfast is great, with avocado sauce, twin room, can accommodate 4 people, no extra bed, suitable for children, free parking, convenient parking, large swimming pool. Not far from the sea, the manor, and the historic district.

When my significant other and I first checked into this establishment, we were moving from another local affiliate and facing less than favorable general life circumstances. The very first moment that I interacted with anyone here, Nika helped us make sure that we booked the ideal reservation for our budget/situation… and she has continued to be just the right amount of helpful at precisely the moment that it is called for, and for that we couldn’t be more grateful. She, along with the always charismatic Deasmond, have appeared like a glimmering ray of hope in whats become a dark and dreary world. It’s the little things we do, which go unacknowledged by self, that tend to have the most profound impact on the lives of those around us. In this experience it has been made clear that they, whether aware of it or not, have certainly affected our period of hardship in an unexpected and positive way. And for that I say “Thank you!”
