This 18th Century Cotswold stone barn has been recently converted to a 4 bedroom house by award-winning architect, Henning Stummel. The main space was designed to preserve the green oak timbers creating a spectacular double-height dining area which looks out onto the terraced courtyard garden. Bedrooms are reached up individual staircases off the main space. Please not that due to latest government guidelines, we are limited to bookings a 6 guests, unless they are from the same household. The Space: Parts of Langley Barn were built in 1799 and the exposed green oak beams are the originals. The owners have converted the barn into a modern yet cosy holiday home which we are confident you will love! Guests will enjoy the piano room that contains a sofa bed and a wood burner. The open plan kitchen, dining and living area is a fantastic place for our guests to relax and spend time together. The entire house has been thoughtfully and beautifully designed. The architect was keen to keep the original beans exposed and the ceilings high so that the charm of the old barn can be admired by visitors. Guests will love the little touches such as lights installed within the wooden beams in the bedrooms, open plan living areas and an industrial yet countryside aesthetic. This is a very unique holiday home with modern amenities and peaceful surroundings. Guest Access: Guests can access all areas of the house. Interaction with Guests: We like to leave our guests in peace during their break, but if anything does go wrong then we can be contacted. The Neighborhood: The barn is a mile from the ancient Saxon town of Winchcombe, made famous in the 1540's by Henry VIII's widow, Katherine Parr, who lived and is buried in Sudeley Castle. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are many pretty rural walks, including the 1,000 acre Cleeve Common with its views of the Malvern Hills and the Black Mountains. Cheltenham Spa with its famous racecourse, shops & restaurants is 6 miles away. Getting Around: We recommend...Show More
