"What a great place to stay in the medina in Fes. The staff where so welcoming and helpful with getting around the city and even booking day trips to nearby places. The rooftop gives a good view over the other rooftops and is a great place to try the complimentory breakfast if its not too cold or raining. This Riad is a little small, but being in the middle of the medina that should be expected. Overall a great place to stay while checking out Fes and I definetly recommend for any others considering staying here."

The wash basin is fashionable, the lighting is nice, there is a dresser, and the breakfast is delicious! And after checking out, I was able to keep my luggage and I had time until the taxi came at night, so I was wondering what to do, but I was allowed to wait for a long time at the entrance hall. . I was very grateful for that alone, but in addition to the service of tea and sweets, it is a really kind and recommended inn ◎"

"The hotel is comfortable and clean, and it is quite quiet. The location is a bit far from the ancient city, but the taxi is not expensive. You can get to the ancient city for 20 yuan. The surrounding facilities of the hotel are also quite complete, there is a big supermarket, and McDonald's."

"We were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price. We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis. Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance. The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff. Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay. The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure. The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge. Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards."

"If you’re staying in Fes, I recommend you stay here. Staff are super friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself as a great traditional Moroccan feel. Staff super sweet and helpful, great decoration and rooms, super breakfast in the garden and, if you drive, parking 3 minutes away. 10 min walk to the Blue gate and the busy area. The lady at the reception gave us a map and detailed information for our visit to the medina, she is super helpful. Definitely raccomanded for your stay!"

"Very beautiful restored riad. Everything in the interior is made by craftsmen from Fez: carved decoration of ceilings, walls, carved furniture. Beautiful as in a museum and at the same time everything is comfortable. Excellent breakfast on the terrace. Wonderful staff. The only thing is that the Medina is not so easy to navigate. It is better to warn the hotel in advance about your arrival so that you can be met outside the walls of the Medina."
