Busby Hotel

been going to carters restaurant for few years,but went back for first time in few months.food and staff very good,but beware a gratuity add on to an already expensive bill at the end. only 3 of us dined food and drink and the bill topped £240,then an extra £24 added on for tips.i always tip staff st least £10 on top of the NO CASH accepted bill.but i dont like this gratuity payment being stuck down my throat at the end of an already overpriced bill.beware when paying bill,this is not america.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Very luxurious and top rate rooms with facilities. Restaurant serves excellent food at reasonable prices. Will be going back on a regular basis as I consider this my go to hotel.

My husband and I got married at The Busby Hotel last week and it was absolutely outstanding. The most perfect, beautiful and best day of our lives. We booked our wedding back in August 2020 and from then right through until even now after our wedding has passed Megan the Wedding Co-ordinator was absolutely incredible giving first class service consistently. No question was too small and she was always on hand to answer any worry we had, even helping me console my tears with tissues before walking down the aisle and telling my husband to get ready at 11.45am! The entire day ran without a glitch and that’s thanks to everybody at The Busby Hotel. Rebecca and Gary who both ran the day were excellent. Rebecca got us all water before walking down the aisle to de-stress and give us all a breather as well as finding my trainers for me as soon as the ceremony was over! The turn around from ceremony to meal, meal to reception were incredible, flawless and I loved how the staff got myself and my husband in to show us prior to each part of the day! The rooms at The Busby are all beautiful and the honeymoon suite is utterly amazing !! We loved it! If only we hadn’t partied so hard and had more time to enjoy it. With every stay breakfast is included and can I just say it’s the nicest and freshest hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! Another shout out to praise even more staff! Both Ruth and Sarah that were on reception couldn’t have done enough for us all weekend - including directing hair and makeup to rooms, searching for things for guests, and cutting my cake further up so I could hand it out to more people on the Sunday morning. In summary there is nowhere else we would have chosen to get married and we are so so glad we chose The Busby. If you are considering it book it as your wedding venue!! The most beautiful venue with a mix of modern and classic hosting the gorgeous gardens for private pictures and not to mention the stunning balcony that was great as it meant you weren’t losing guests when they needed fresh air - myself included! Had our wedding there on 24 June. Myself and my wife had the most fabulous day surrounded by our families and friends. The food was lovely and staff simply couldn't do enough for you. The night entertainment was brilliant and everyone had a great night Just small point that did go a bit awry was the entry music for the bridal party was not we chose, but that is just small point and didn't detract from the day as a whole.

We had an amazing wedding at the busby hotel that was made possible by Megan and Rebecca helping us with our planning and getting us on que the team truly is amazing. The room was laid out beautifully and the dj and waiting / bar staff were all amazing too. The restaurant at the hotel also had an amazing breakfast for us in the morning. We booked both the kelvin suite and honeymoon suite and felt both were very beautiful and spacious. The kelvin suite had an amazing jet bath that even had a TV by it and such a big comfortable bed. The honeymoon suite had a gorgeous room and soft bed with a giant bathroom with bath and shower and there was even a seperate are with a jacuzzi chair set and tv It truly was an amazing experience.

We got married at the Busby in May 24 and it was just the best day ever! From start to finish it was just amazing and it looked beautiful. Megan was amazing right from the very beginning when we 1st met her to book our special day she was always there to help with any questions or queries we had. Our guests also had an amazing time and the dancefloor was never empty! It really was the best day and night and I cant fault anything, it is such a beautiful venue to get married and all the staff are lovely. The food was beautiful too, both the main meal and the buffet. The honeymoon suite is absolutely stunning we didn't want to leave it! Thanks again all at The Busby for our very special day xx

We stayed at the Busby for two nights as we were attending an event. There were weddings on both days/nights but it had zero impact on our stay. The place was really busy but the staffing numbers was spot on to accommodate everyone. The staff at The Busby are excellent - accommodating, friendly and not pushy. Honestly, we've stayed in a lot of hotels in the UK over the past three years and the Busby are top so far in terms of customer service and just being great at their jobs! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here and the food is really good. A small but diverse dinner menu and all meals cooked beautifully. We are both foodies and usually have low expectations of hotel meals but we had a really nice experience here because we weren't expecting it to be of the quality it was. The rib eye steak in particular was a highlight. The breakfast options were excellent and varied. The coffee was good, too. There's a good drinks selection with some excellent cocktails too (would recommend the disaronno velvet!) The room was lovely, the decor throughout the hotel is very nice, modern but classic. The mattress on the bed was a bit too firm for our liking but this is just one of those things - very subjective. The Busby was booked because it was convenient but the hotel and the staff made it a really top notch stay. The location means it's unlikely we'll have a need to visit again but would definitely consider it for a quiet romantic weekend in the future.

We got married at the Busby 23rd May 2024. From the moment we walked in for our first viewing Megan made us feel totally at ease. Her attention to detail and interest in us and our story made it not only easy to choose the Busby as a venue but to feel comfortable that our every need would be taken care of by her and the team. We should mention that we were planning on going to the registry office (to save money and faff). And in fact, we were talking about how we were going to go straight from viewing the Busby to the city chambers whilst we waited in reception... But Megan found a package in our budget, with everything we wanted that let us have the day we dreamed of. Everything from the venue itself, flow of the day, care for us and our guests, the staff, DJ, food, honeymoon suite - everything was perfect. Our only regret is that we can't go back and do it all again, but if we could we'd choose the same venue again and wouldn't change a thing. We got married in The Busby on the 11th May and can honestly say the service the wedding team provide is absolutely outstanding. We could not have asked for anything more, it was the best day of our lives. Nothing was ever to much, especially for Megan and Rebecca. All of our guests commented on how smooth and well the day ran. Wish we could do it all over again!! We really can’t thank you guys enough xx
