We traveled to Maine for a wedding and the Cornish Inn was recommended by the bride and groom. We could not have been more pleased. The staff was delightful and our room was charming! Lindsey's Kitchen, which is the onsite restaurant was a wonderful bonus! We loved sitting on the porch for our meals. There were gorgeous flowers in hanging baskets and window boxes decorating the porch. It was a lovely setting. Our thanks to all! Postscript: There are fun shops across the street from the Inn. Do not miss a visit!

I've stayed here a bunch of times, under various owners and it's still a wonderful place. Perfect downtown location and wonderful AC (it was a hot muggy weekend and so cool and dry in the room). I didn't eat in the restaurant this time, but it seemed like a very popular spot. Doors are controlled by a code instead of a key, but it was slightly annoying to have to enter the code to the front door during the day when going in and out from your car, or to have coffee on the porch. And then the keypad died (probably from being used 1000 times a day) but thankfully someone was inside to let me in. It would be helpful if it just locked at a certain time of night.

The bed was SOOO uncomfortable!! We could feel the springs in the mattress and the indentations from where previous guests had slept over the years. The whole room was tilted, and when we first laid on the bed, we literally rolled towards one side. Both nights we woke up numerous times, stiff and sore, hoping the morning light would break so we could be done sleeping in that bed. Not the feeling you want to have. There were nails sticking up from the old creaking floorboard which is very dangerous. One floorboard in particular felt like it was about to break. Additionally there are no coffee machines or ways to make tea in the rooms, you have to go down to the lobby. Both mornings, the single coffee carafe was either empty or cold. The walls are super thin, so you can hear everyone downstairs, in the halls and as they enter the building. It's too bad because the woman who runs it seems very nice, it's a historic building, it feels quaint when you first look walk in. New beds, new pillows, and coffee in the rooms would make a big difference.

A Norman Rockwell painting come to life… I cannot begin to say how indelible this place is. Inextricably clean. Very quiet. Impeccable attention to detail. Only good vibes here with deep history. The restaurant attached to it, Lindsay’s, is also phenomenal. The town itself is quaint and idyllic. filled with local art and brilliant antiques, some of which Martha Stewart is known to shop from time to time. We were on the 3rd floor overlooking the square. Parking is easy. The staff is beyond kind and checking in is hassle free. I highly recommend it. And the church bells on the hour takes you back to a time before the world got busy…

Stay elsewhere! A quaint decor is no excuse of an OLD WORN SPRING MATTRESS. You can put old quilt covers on NEW mattresses and still achieve the aesthetic you're going for, but I feel like "it's supposed to be old" is an excuse used here to cheap out on not staying updated. If you're an Inn, GOOD PILLOWS and a NICE BED are the MOST important thing and on our second night sleeping there I woke up and had a thought I've NEVER had at 3am "oh good, only a few more hours of this bed before I can get out of here". No joke, I sat on the toilet for a while just to give my spine a break. The room is massively tilted, so much so that I had to shim our bed with hand towels so that it was level enough to comfortably sleep in and I cut my foot on the exposed flooring nails which have not been re-sunk even though the floor is caving in beside the bed. NOT charming. You'd think in 2023, when a coffee maker is $40, you could have one in each room, but NO, you'll have to get dressed and make your way to the single pump carafe in the lobby for your 4oz teacup of lukewarm coffee, but be sure to get there early! because it runs out an isn't refilled. At least get a bigger coffee carafe for an entire inn full of people! Maybe the owners should punish themselves by staying in their own rooms so they can wrap their minds around what might be important updates to provide an enjoyable stay. Hopefully they use the money from our visit to re-invest in a new bed.

Highly recommend the Cornish Inn. Everyone is very friendly; property and rooms are extremely clean; bed very comfortable - pillows are NOT paper thin...they are nice and fluffy! Was there for a wedding and we booked the entire Inn. The "living room" was a perfect place to meet up. I would go down each morning for a cup of coffee and to say hi to everyone who came by. I was impressed with the water pressure - we were all taking showers around the same time and the pressure was strong and the hot water abundant. Within walking distance to most things in the Village of Cornish. Don't think twice of staying here!

We were in town for a wedding and spent two nights at your lovely inn! The only thing I might change is removing the shelf directly above the bathroom sink in room #3 because it was hard for my husband to shave and difficult to wash your face and brush your teeth! Other than that the inn is very nice and was very clean and the staff was very friendly when we checked in! Also the fresh baked cookies were amazing!

Had a great night stay at The Cornish Inn. It was a last-minute reservation, and the owner was very accommodating to our needs. It is such a cozy and intimate place - highly recommend it if you are looking for a quaint place to stay. Also, the restaurant at the Inn is absolutely delicious!! We hope to get back to Cornish soon.

The room my husband and I stayed in for a full week was homey and sweet. It was not cleaned with toxic cleaning products, which was a huge plus for me as I am chemically sensitive. The staff was kind and accommodating and quickly addressed our needs. We would certainly stay here again!
