This hotel was Average-Good I’d give 3.5 stars rather than 3. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly hotel staff. We couldn’t ask for a better first impression. After checking in we made our way to our rooms (we are a family of 5 so had to book 2 rooms / Unsure if that altered the price) and we were very happy with the very clean rooms and the sofa bed unfolded and made up ready for our arrival. We then went for something to eat which was basic food (what you would expect in AI) but towards the end of meal timings the selection is rather limited to what is left. Not exactly delicious food, but by no means disgusting and does the job. At the bottom of the dining room there is a burger bar that has chips/burgers/pizza etc… but not necessarily all of them at the same time or the same evening. Breakfast churios always go really fast. I never saw any the entire time. It was our anniversary the first day and I arranged for an anniversary package from the hotel. When I went to collect from the dining room, nobody seemed to know anything about it and I was waiting for sometime before someone knew about it for me to collect. Lanzarote is quite a windy island which we didn’t really know before our trip as it was our first time visiting. The pool area is a nightmare! Can’t put your drinks down because they blow over, the towels blow away unless they’re clipped down. Not the hotels fault about the wind but there is very limited shade around the pool and we all ended up really burnt after the first day as it just felt chilly but getting sunburnt at the same time. The sunbeds are a pain! Stacked up at night and there are people sat next to them from about 0900 to claim them when they’re unlocked at 1000. I personally saw a sunbed with a towel on from 1000-1500 unused. There needs to be some sort of rule to allow others to get at least 1 sunbed. The lifeguard (AKA The Sunbed Nazi) will not let you grab a white sunbed from the sunlounger area to the pool! You’d think they were his own personal sunbeds! Kids over the age of 12 are not allowed on the waterslides apart from the big blue one. The bar in the corner of the pool area was understaffed. Only having one barman working for a full pool area is not really sufficient. Sometimes waiting in line for 10-15 minutes to get a drink that’s gone in a few mouthfuls. It costs €1 for a cup that’s changed each time you take it to the bar. You can claim your €1 back when you hand the cup back. Bottles of water cost €2.50 from the bar. Sandwiches are available as snacks through the day. I found that hot snacks were only available on certain days as they were not out everyday. The entertainment’s team really do try hard to put a show on for everyone and have fun activities throughout the day. But when you have 20-30 people queueing to take part in archery or rifle shooting of one person at a time you find yourself stood around for a while. I would say overall was decent. I must’ve had about 50 drinks and not one got me the slightest bit drunk! If you’re paying for all inclusive thinking you’re going to be drunk everyday this is not the place for you Other then this food nothing special but was decent. Staff friendly, rooms clean

I had reservations about this hotel after reading the reviews, however, I couldn't fault it. I had one of the older rooms a little dated but very clean the beds were comfy. There was always food avaliable and a good selection. My son was extremely happy to see steak and seafood on the menu. My only issue was the tea! being English I like a mug and a good strong tea bag, however i found a box of PG tips and a couple of mugs in the hotel shop so that wasnt even a problem. We are not ones for evening entertainment but from what we did hear and see it wasn't great but there were plenty of people who enjoyed it I think things are based on personal preference and from experience you shouldn't take the bad reviews as gospel go and see for yourselves. I have been all around the world and honestly there is nothing wrong with this hotel or the staff..

The hotel is very basic but the bad reviews are unwarranted. There were plenty of loungers- not necessarily next to the pool, good animation team and a variety at the buffet each day. Lots of Spanish options, shellfish, a different fish every day, different meat everyday, different soup everyday. The breakfast wasn’t great for a “fry” but there is yogurt and fruit etc. There is pasta with a choice of sauce every day for those that like beige food. Staff friendly. If you want a perfectly polished luxury hotel then pay for it. Don’t book here and then complain. It’s honestly fine. Ooh we stayed on the ground floor with a little garden terrace. That was my favourite for morning coffee. The plants are lovely. Not too far from coast. 20 min walk or cheap taxi. Bus at bottom of the road services the coast well. Me and mine had a really nice break and didn’t want to come home. Have realistic expectations though. A lot of moaning brits there that went out of an evening to go eat pasta because they hated the food that much and have the nerve to ask for money back from the travel agent. Cons: 1. the aviary at reception. I don’t like birds being caged. Please look in to releasing them. 2. The drinks are very, very, weak.
