Courtyard Danville

I left a lengthy review on their site. Not many choices in Danville. The staff could care less, they are rarely where you can see them. They have no maintenance on the weekends. Try sitting on a half hanging toilet seat. This trip was unbelievably loud and obnoxious with a “group of workers going back to Mexico the next day” All 6-8 in one 2 queen room, next to mine.is that even OK? Music blaring, yelling. The desk could not get them to subside into the night. Lauren moved us. She was one of the two descent employees we encountered. Rooms aren’t restocked ( what little there is) or vaccumed, dirty glasses not removed. Dont believe the pictures they show for food. I can tell you a 9oz glass of wine is $20, Before tip. Should you stay here, take your own beverages. Don’t be in the back where partying goes on well into the night. I use to like this place. But this place is in need a serious overhaul with staff attitude, Manners and realizing may be, hopefully other people that have an acceptable work ethic that you are expendable. So sick of hearing how good it is people just show up for work! Marriott grow a pair, pay them better if and only if the do a reasonable job. Get worthwhile mangers. People that can actually manage! Everything was great . Arrived and was able to get coffee and food late . Room was beautiful . Late checkout was awesome. It was overall wonderful experience while being able to go to the ****** down the road . Would definitely recommend this hotel .

From the first step in I regretted booking here. Checking in with a pessimistic sarcastic person is never a good thing. The hotel appears to be pretty empty and I have 4 pieces of luggage for a long business related stay. Asked to be placed near the elevator. Go up and find it is the farthest you can be from the elevator Go back down to change the room, no one at reception. Lectured by reception that they cannot always be at the front counter. Over the next few days I discover there is never anyone at reception. Can't even leave the office door open. I have to find an employee by roaming around the place or calling since they remain in the office, like hiding, probably surfing the internet. Taking a shower on the 28th, water shuts off, call reception and they give me a lecture about using a curse word although not directed at them personally instead of showing any concern that you just shut the water off while I was in the shower. The water sink is leaking onto the counter when you operator the handle a certain way, the toilet is not secured to the floor. This is reported to maintenance but no one responds, ok let the place decay, not my problem. Nothing for breakfast is included, ok, but the cheapest thing is $6.50 for a bagel. Obviously there are no customers ever that I noticed. That is higher than an airport. The one lonely employee in the area remains stationary at a table surfing her phone. No greeting. I look at the menu mention to the employee now I see why there are no customers. She laughs and agrees with me. What else? Can they clean the one slow elevator they have, grungy dirty corners, I guess not. I thought I found a new place to call home away from home in Marriot. Now that was a dumb idea. Coffee machine in the room is terrible and the creamer in the lobby is usually spoiled near the end of the day. Why, because no one told the staff that when they replenish the creamers they should put the remaining creamers on top of the new creamers so if you get creamers near the end of the day they are spoiled. Never noticed so many uncaring people in a hotel. Stone faced and unfriendly. I will give them there due: Rooms are small but nicely furnished. Having said all that, I would not return to this hotel if it were free.

I gave this a 4 but really would rate it a 3.5. On the positive side, the hotel was fairly updated, the room was clean and we did find the bed to be pretty comfortable - all at an incredibly reasonable rate! What was very much a 'plus' was the made-to-order breakfast. Not your standard continental breakfast or even the standard hot breakfast where you go and help yourself to bagels, scrambled eggs and bacon. Rather, someone took our order from a menu of quality options, and prepared our food as ordered. I had an avocado toast which was pretty good, and the fruit cup was fresh! The one reason, however, that my rating dropped down from a 4 or a 5 star rating is because it smelled like really sweaty socks, and we think that came from the air conditioner. The smell was a real turnoff and really detracted from our view of the room, which is too bad because it was otherwise a great place to stay.

Bring a pair of nitrile gloves to wear when using the TV remote! We stayed at this Marriott property for one night, 9/21/22. We are a long-time Marriott customers and were extremely disappointed. We used a package of disinfecting wipes to clean the TV remote. The wipes were literally "black" with filth. We had to ask ourselves, what else was not being cleaned? Additionally, the air conditioning in this particular room was not working properly. The room was damp and "clamy". The towels were damp and the tile floor in the bathroom was damp. The "window" style air conditioning unit was obviously not capable of removing moisture from the air due to poor maintenance or broken components. Our son and grandchildren live in Danville and we visit frequently. We will be choosing another hotel for future stays.

Lovely hotel. Clean. Easy check in and check out. Restaurant on premises for breakfast and dinner. Not cheap, but not much as far as restaurants in the neighborhood, so was very happy to stay put and eat dinner there.

Very comfortable! The room was a little small when you pulled out the bed. I would stay there again if we ever are in the area. I like the fact that the large shampoo bottles and body washes were in the shower already and they smelled good. The room was very clean. Thank you.
