From the first step in I regretted booking here. Checking in with a pessimistic sarcastic person is never a good thing. The hotel appears to be pretty empty and I have 4 pieces of luggage for a long business related stay. Asked to be placed near the elevator. Go up and find it is the farthest you can be from the elevator Go back down to change the room, no one at reception. Lectured by reception that they cannot always be at the front counter. Over the next few days I discover there is never anyone at reception. Can't even leave the office door open. I have to find an employee by roaming around the place or calling since they remain in the office, like hiding, probably surfing the internet. Taking a shower on the 28th, water shuts off, call reception and they give me a lecture about using a curse word although not directed at them personally instead of showing any concern that you just shut the water off while I was in the shower. The water sink is leaking onto the counter when you operator the handle a certain way, the toilet is not secured to the floor. This is reported to maintenance but no one responds, ok let the place decay, not my problem. Nothing for breakfast is included, ok, but the cheapest thing is $6.50 for a bagel. Obviously there are no customers ever that I noticed. That is higher than an airport. The one lonely employee in the area remains stationary at a table surfing her phone. No greeting. I look at the menu mention to the employee now I see why there are no customers. She laughs and agrees with me. What else? Can they clean the one slow elevator they have, grungy dirty corners, I guess not. I thought I found a new place to call home away from home in Marriot. Now that was a dumb idea. Coffee machine in the room is terrible and the creamer in the lobby is usually spoiled near the end of the day. Why, because no one told the staff that when they replenish the creamers they should put the remaining creamers on top of the new creamers so if you get creamers near the end of the day they are spoiled. Never noticed so many uncaring people in a hotel. Stone faced and unfriendly. I will give them there due: Rooms are small but nicely furnished. Having said all that, I would not return to this hotel if it were free.
