called for information about the meal. The person on the phone was obnoxious and hung up on me. I didn't even make it to the restaurant and never will go. Was willing to drive 2hrs to visit the restaurant but won't be abused by the owner or help who ever it was.

Arrived on a Saturday evening and upon checking into our cottage we realized the heat was not working in the living room, kitchen, bathroom and foyer. I immediately went back to office but it had closed. I called number on key and left message but I never received a response. The temps outside dropped into the 30s and we were basically unable to use those rooms. Also, the 2 upstairs BRs do not have doors and the shower is in the hall. Checked out the next morning and never even received an apology. Definitely would not recommend.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. My husband and I stayed here for one night because we wanted to enjoy the hiking trails nearby. The trails were great but this hotel was a bottom low. Old, noisy, dirty walls, unclean carpets and uncomfortable beds. And, on top of everything else, the staff was unfriendly and not very helpful. We will not stay here again!

Wow, so not worth the money. The wallpaper was literally missing or large sections were peeling off the wall, protruding into the room. The shower curtain was moldy, the shower rod nearly broken. The hot water cut in and our repeatedly as, apparently, hotel guests in other rooms used their sinks. It was super annoying and hard not to scald myself. There was no blanket in the room--just a super thin bedspread. The walls are so thin that the neighboring family's screaming children kept me up until 10:30 and then started up again at 5:30. I don't mind a little noise and I'm not a germaphobe, but the facilities were totally not worth the money. The people who worked there and in the restaurant, however, are very nice.

Everything in our room worked and was clean, but any remodeling has not happened as of last weekend. We slept pretty well in the king bed. Motel was dog friendly for a $10 per night fee. Having the hallway outside our room really helped in the snowy 20 degree temps, but room was dark and smelled old. Restaurant was only open for breakfast, but food was good. Enjoyed the short morning walk upstairs to eat hotcakes!

Very Run Down, dark rooms with low wattage bulbs. When I checked in at 5pm - with an empty parking lot - I was informed there were no ground floor rooms. Looking at he empty lot, I asked if they were that busy - 'no, we just haven't cleaned any rooms yet'. I left early in the morning and discovered I'd left my phone charger and cable in my room. I called the hotel office that afternoon and got no answer. I tried again a few minutes later, still no answer, so I left a message on VM. I never heard back, so i went out of my way to pass through Davis on my way home the next day, and they were quite disinterested in my charger and cable. They did not go and check the room - which I was told was vacant. They were not not sure where the cleaning crew put 'lost and found items' - maybe the laundry room. They did check there. Again - not checking the room while I was there, they said they would check and send it to me. I never heard back. They just had zero interest in resolving this. There was one car in the parking lot when I stopped back by - so it's not as if the staff was busy. I needed a place to stay for the night when I passed back by for my charger, but there was no way I would stay here again. I rode 25 minutes to Elkins and got a room. This is one of those places that time has passed by - and you should too!. I took a risk staying here and assumed the run down place would be happy for my business. I generally would not stay in a place that looks so unkempt, I should have trusted my instincts. Wifi was terrible,

Let's start with the bed. It felt like I was laying on bare springs,it was horrible. The pillows were flat as a pancake. Room was musty,parking lot riddled with potholes. Sure it was cheap,but buy some pillows and mattresses, these must have been 40 or more years old. Just don't book here..

I searched for hotels & motels near Cannon and Timberline ski Resorts and this place was perfect! The Alpine lodge is a quant place in Davis exactly where I wanted to be. New owners have just purchased the place in December and have plans to fix up the place. The owner Tim was great to speak with. I will be back!
