Overall satisfactory. The temperature of the room is suitable, and the lights and curtains are controlled by the touch screen. The room is generally hygienic, and it is a bit depressing to see a corner. The bathroom is still relatively clean and provides a disposable toilet pad. The mountain is seen from the window, and the surrounding area is relatively desolate, but there are several local restaurants near the hotel, which is quite convenient. It is more than 1km from the Yuanmingyuan Scenic Area, and it is far from other scenic spots. There is a complimentary Hanfu experience, the lobby on the first floor is selected, we did not go, we will not comment.

I accidentally found this homestay. The high-end atmosphere is really a must-have. I have lived in the most satisfying ever. There are no shortcomings. If I score a full score, I will score 99. I am afraid that it will be proud. Hahahaha. There is also a disposable comb that is actually a wooden comb. The toiletries are all big brands that are particularly easy to use. The hair dryer is very textured. It is a good thing at first glance. Don't be clean in terms of hygiene, the service is not good, the breakfast is made now, the breakfast in other hotels is buffet, there is no appetite, here is waiting for you to get up and then make it ready for you, the chef's noodles taste great! During the two-day trip to Hengdian, we chose a good-looking famous hotel among hotels and famous hotels. Because it had just opened, the decoration was very new, hygienic and clean. We booked a triple room with tatami mats. In fact, the room is just a large bed and a 1.2m floor shop. The famous hotel has a dedicated one on the first floor. The place where you check in and take pictures has good service. You will be contacted by phone before you come and will be picked up at the door. You can reserve a parking space. The breakfast is rich and nutritious. Overall, everything is very good except that the soundproofing is a bit poor. You can hear the sound of the TV in the next room when you sleep at night.

We chose this hotel because of its non-smoking policy [a lot of hotels in this town allow guests to smoke in the room]. We spent one day in a suite and one day in a 2-bed ”mountain view” room [view from our windows in the pictures] The 2-bed room was huge, 120cm beds, no fridge. The suite seemed bigger in the photos, nice, with a fridge and very big bathroom. Both rooms with A.C., both equipped with a universal charger, a tea set with 2 bottles of water 0,5l each, both with intelligent Xiao Du light, courtains, tv and wc system, windows equipped with mosquito nets. ”Mountain view” and some photos suggest 'Zen' style high end neighbourhood, but in reality it is a very, very regular chinese neighbourhood. There is only chinese name on the hotel building I think. We arrived one hour before the check-in time and get the room without any problem. The young female receptionist was extremely helpful and polite, used the translator app to communicate. She helped us to buy the right tickets and a hotel menager accompanied us to the nearest ticket office. The hotel is very close to the Qin palace and Dream Valley. There are 2 tourist bus lines (A and B) connecting most of the scenic spots, every 30 min, a ticket costs 2 r.m.b. one can pay in cash in the bus, this bus service stops about 4.30 p.m. Apple maps app works OK, google maps app does not work in China. We took a taxi from Yiwu station (1 hour) to get to the hotel, 170 r.m.b. and about 43 km one way if one goes the shortest way or 220 r.m.b. and about 63 km via highway, a taxi from Qingming palace costs about 20 r.m.b. There is an annual ticket for 898 r.m.b., this ticket is for one adult plus one child or just one adult - all 13 scenic spots included [Dream Valley excluded], one can enter each scenic spot only once a day. I think 2 scenic spots in one day is a max,  maybe 3 because most of the spots closes about 4.30 p.m., only one or two are closing about 8 p.m. There is no printed ticket only passport data in their system so you enter by showing the passport.The Hengdian Studios I think are not prepared for foreign tourists at all. Their printed map is very small, hard to read, does not show enter gates or ticket offices, their website is not helping, in theory there is an English version but with very little information, the chinese website is better but still not very helpful, there is no list of all 13 scenic spots or the opening hours, only information about the major ones.

This homestay is very good, with an excellent location and convenient transportation. The attractions are not far away, making it convenient for sightseeing. The sanitation is also very good, the room is clean and tidy, and it is very comfortable and spacious to live in. The service is very warm and thoughtful, which makes people feel happy.

Service: Good Facilities: Standard but the room is super big and clean. Location: Very convenient with a lot of shops, night market just within walking distance. Conclusion: Considering the above, the room rate is considered cheap and definitely value for money. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hengdian, Half Summer. It’s not too crowded, I don’t have to wait for the lift for too long unlike in a hotel. Check in was a breeze. The staff there were friendly and helpful. For breakfast, you can choose either Chinese style or western style. I preferred the Chinese style breakfast. The bed was comfortable and I was able to have a good sleep every night. The shower always had hot water, even the basin as well. Basic toiletries were provided. The staff even provided complimentary mineral water (daily) and fruits as well. I could also order food delivery. The location is wonderful. I took a high speed train from Shanghai Hongqiao to Yiwu station, then from Yiwu station, I took a cab to 凌云 Lingyun Metro/Light Rail station. Then I took the metro/light rail from 凌云 Lingyun to 明清宫 Ming Qing Palace. Once I exit the metro/Light Rail station, I took didi to the hotel directly. From the hotel, it is only a 10-15 mins walk to 2 local night markets and bubble tea shops. Not to mention that the attractions are also just a short didi away. The only thing that I hoped they provided was local tv channels. They do have a projector, but one would have to subscribe to watch local shows.

There are not many hotels in Dongyang city. At this price, the room is quite big and the breakfast is relatively rich. I always stay here when I go back to my hometown. However, the price has increased a bit in the past two years. It would be nice to have more activities.
