This property has so much potential. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous views and lush gardens. Pool is nice and large. The service is really lacking. It takes forever to order from the a la carte menu (1 hr for a snapper fillet with french fries!). The local breakfast was decent. The bedroom and bathroom we stayed in were really dated. You can tell nothing has been done in a long while to improve the place and it's a real shame. We won't be coming back.

Spent two wonderful nights at the Jamaica Palace Hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is a unique, quiet hideaway nestled in the hills surrounded by lushed green tropical foliage and fruit trees; there are tons of beautiful artwork throughout the property. We'll be back for a longer stay.

The property was awesome - it’s literally in an old castle and it’s expansive and fancy and really nice. The bed was very comfortable and everything was extremely clean. Food was really good too, the breakfast had so many courses and everything was yum! Staff were all lovely and helpful.

The rooms were very clean and the amenities were up to date. The bed was very comfortable and even though this was not an inclusive hotel, they made sure to provide you with two bottles of water. The staff were all very professional and friendly from when you entered the gate until you left. The receptionists were also very knowledgeable and professional The dining was actually very nice. The food was good, however, it took a bit long to be served but once you start eating you forget about that Keeping a Hotel in white color is not easy but the staff seem to be the experts at that. The entire grounds were immaculate. For a business trip or pleasure, this hotel is ideal as they boast a reasonable price in the Portland region The hotel has a unique architecture, with a hint of age but modern facilities. The artwork inside the hotel was also very interesting, especially the metalwork art. Overall, I would recommend the Jamaica Palace hotel as nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of city living and relaxing in the cool and sometimes rainy Portland, Jamaica.

Senza infamia e senza lode. Personale cortese, seppur (molto) lento nella ristorazione.

Very nice and clean hotel. All the staff were friendly and professional with the exception of one ,the lady that check is in when we first arrived. Chandler the waitress along with another young lady that attended to us at breakfast was great I had my birthday dinner in the restaurant the staff on Monday night March 27th was great also not to mention our dinner 🥘 tasty and well presented. We had two suits they were immaculately clean. This property is well groom I definitely will stay here again and I’ll be referring my friends and colleagues to stay at Jamaica palace. I must mention even though our first impression was a bit off at check-in the other staff members made up for it.Hopefully she was just having a bad day.

Excellent service from the staff and big compliments to chef Mullings for going the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed the true Jamaican experience. Whether it was Jamaican chocolate tea, plaintain porridge or **** chicken. The art and sculptures are a sight to behold. Will definitely recommend and visit more in the future.

I was due to stay at this Hotel on 1/9/22 for one week as I was attending my family wedding nearby on 2/9/22. The hotel tried to contact me to tell me of alternative arrangements ( as a film crew was using the hotel subsequent to my booking ) and I only got the message after I landed so the contact was made when I was flying from the UK to Jamaica. At 11.45pm , I got the message that I’ve been diverted to another hotel which was the Frenchman Cove nearby . As a single woman on the trip, I was excepting to join my family at Jamaica Palace. They arrived ahead of me and were diverted to different hotels by Jamaica Palace - we were separated. I arrived by taxi at Frenchman Cove at midnight , it was isolated, dark and did not have any of the luxuries as in the Jamaica Palace Hotel- I felt afraid and isolated as I could not see any nearby properties around me . There was no water to drink, no tea, no coffee, no breakfast , a small piece of soap , off color towels and very dark. There was no nearby shops . I complained to Jamaica Palace who provided me with breakfast on 2/9/22- left at the gate on day of the wedding . I complained again on 3/09/22 and was moved to Match Resort . The hotel room was good but to get to my room I had to fight the stench of cat urine daily in the corridors and cat poo once . It was substandard compared to what I had paid for Jamaica Palace. Most of the time the pool remain unused due to algae and was cleaned when I complained . The receptionist was the cook, who served a tiny breakfast which was tasteless and substandard. The coffee machine was just reheated everyday and not fresh and tasted sickening. I had to fan the flies to get to the tea and sugar. The alternative hotels ( Frenchman Cove and Match ) were nothing compared to Jamaica Palace . I was severely short changed and a beautiful once in a lifetime experience with my family ruined by Jamaica Palace Hotel.
