We were treated very badly by the receptionist, he was on duty last November 1, 2021 at 7pm. I failed to remember his name. My friend was having her birthday. We originally booked for a 1 bedroom apartment, but since we had a couple of friends visiting us, we transferred to a 2 bedroom apartment, given that they weren’t going to stay over. They would just visit. The problem started to arise when he failed to explain the conditions of transferring to another bedroom. We couldn’t understand how he was explaining. So we asked a lot of questions and we were getting frustrated, naturally we were raising our voice but we still spoke with respect, but then he raised his voice higher and started shouting at us, I was shocked because I was never treated that way by anyone from the hotel and tourism industry. What shocked me more is when he told us to just check out and leave and he said he wouldn’t give us our money back right after we paid more, he said to just go and leave. We treated him respectfully, and I’ve never been treated like that by any hotel professional my entire life. Maybe because we weren’t local or white. Was it because of our nationality? We were very embarrassed, he never even apologized. I hope you’ll take action against this receptionist. He needs to be reminded that he works for a 4star hotel. It’s a good thing the guard on duty was very professional and he apologized on behalf of the receptionist.
