From arrival to departure our 3 night stay was seamless, thanks to the enthusiastic staff. We were thrilled to be able to just sit and watch the animals on the Savannah go about the daily routine, definitely a good way to lower our blood pressure and stress levels after a long drive from Gold Coast. We came to appreciate the dedication of all staff to the welfare of the creatures (great and small) in their care. The extra activities provided such as early morning open safari bus tour with the cheerful and knowledgeable guide was a great way to start the day after which a nourishing breakfast set us up for a day at the zoo park, in our own car at a leisurely pace, evening meals with an African theme were enjoyable. Glamping tent was serviced daily and very comfortable and we slept soundly apart from the odd animal calls through the night, but one would be disappointed not to experience this! It’s our second visit, we’re allready planning the next! Only consideration will be to visit outside school holidays, sadly some children were too young to appreciate the Experience and the ensuing noise from unsettled children did detract from our stay, a child free zone may be worth considering and meal sittings for families with young children could be earlier. By I guess it’s all about economics and all profits go to the animal husbandry. Thanks again to all staff for their tireless dedication to a beautiful Zoo.

Amazing place to visit. Evening and early morning tour were very enjoyable and informative from very experienced and funny guides Meals at the Lodge were good quality and the dining service outstanding. Could not fault any of the staff we encountered on our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a bit different to do.

Most amazing experience and stay! Highly recommend! The accommodations were so nice and clean and being able to watch the African animals metres away from our own accommodations balcony was so fabulous. Our kids had the best experience feeding giraffes and getting to watch an elephant have her bath

An incredible experience for the whole family! We highly recommend everyone booking a night at the zoo. You won’t regret it. The entire experience is perfect from start to finish. Great opportunity to get up close with all the amazing animals and learn so much about them.

My partner and I did this as a reward as the last night of a month long road trip, so we are not used to spending that much money on accommodation/experiences but it was worth it as a celebration or a once off knowing it is a special treat. We went during school holidays and were the only people there that weren't with kids, this didn't bother us at all and we still had a lot of fun, but just be aware for booking in school holidays. The site and facilities had more available to us then we could use in the time we had there. The dining experience had delicious food (note drinks not included) and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. You could tell that one of the tour guides was fairly new and learning the routine and how to drive the bus, but that didn't take away from the overall experience. We stayed in one of the animal view lodges, and the views of the animals were better than what you get if you visit the zoo itself. The accommodation was luxury, and the bathroom was bigger than what you get at most hotels! Who knew you can get a full size bath in a tent. A bonus is lots of little food goodies given to you on arrival.

Arrived late morning and experienced a free entry into the zoo. Great experience because we drove through and stopped when we wanted to. Had a lovely light lunch at their cafe and a coffee. Then off to Zoofari. So easy to check in. Found our glamour tent was more like a cabin with a spacious bathroom and all its amenities. Even had binoculars on the table to use - we didn't need them because the animals were outside our door. Dinner was exceptional with the chef speaking about the plates history. The zoo staff doubled as tour guides, animal care and waiting staff as well as checkin staff. Loved that we could get up close to the animals on our specific excursions. Every cent goes back into the Zoo - so not for profit. Thank you everyone!

The whole experience was absolutely amazing. Hearing the lions roaring at 5:30am. Feeding the giraffe. Watching the elephants have their baths. When exploring the zoo on your own head on over to the one horned rhino exhibit Dora kept running back to us everytime my daughter called her name! It was truly amazing. We also did the extra hippo encounter the kids loved it

What a great experience, almost like Africa but without the danger. Non the less we loved it. The staff were excellent and the behind the scenes tours were well worth it. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends. Cabin 5&6 either side of the viewing area are the best for animal sightings although you can see them from every cabin at Zoofari. The food was very good also. Top marks.

Our visit to Dubbo Zoo was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in the Addax Bushland View Lodge for 3 days and 2 nights, and it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend staying more than one night to fully immerse yourself in the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The chef's inspired South African cuisine was spot on and delighted my partner, who is South African himself. We enjoyed it so much that we asked for more! Every staff member, from the chef to the waitress, contributed to making our stay truly unforgettable. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We had such an enjoyable time that we can't wait to come back. It was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences we've ever had! If you're looking for a magical getaway, Dubbo Zoo is the place to be!
