Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dumas

We were warmly greeted by the. Front desk person. Walls in the hallway and room were in need of repair and painting. Desk Chair in our room was broken. Lounge chair had stains and bathtub was cracked. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast could have used some healthy options.

This hotel was horrible I would never ever stay here again. The room still had trash from previous occupant. The roof leaked in hallway. One elevator worked, and that elevator had vomit covering the floor with a wet floor sign in vomit for at least two hours. Holiday inn should shut this down for tarnishing its reputation.

What a disappointing business stay- sadly would have stayed an additional week this upcoming week as my husband is still working in the area- but due to the unpleasant stay at this Holiday Inn location decided to try another hotel. The hotel is not very neat and clean....it is 3.50 for EACH load of laundry, 3.50 to wash, 3.50 to dry- that is honestly outrageous, the free breakfast is subpar, and customer service is sorely lacking. Maintenance was requested to check into the room heater after the very first night of stay. After 7 nights of stay, maintenance never came to the room, nothing was fixed, AND the front desk never followed up to ask if the issue with the heater in the room was resolved! Will not be staying here again.

I would stay here again, especially if I could do so on points. Overall the room was just fine. There were just a couple of issues. One, the DirecTV box was dead, so there was no TV. Two, a bit of mold was was growing in the shower, in the corners where it's harder to clean.

The rooms and place definitely needs to be updated and maintained. The carpets and curtains are old and bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. I think all the things there are there from the time it was built which was a while ago. The surrounding hotels are much more pleasant for pretty much the same price. I understand if they were charging $50-60 per night but Very disappointing to pay $167 for the room we got. The breakfast was so so better at other hotels. They need to definitely also work on their customer service because Even the service was very dry and non chalant. The owner definitely needs to make some major changes and pay some attention to this place. I have stayed at other Holiday Inns but this was by far the worst. We were supposed to stay there for 3-4 nights but I checked out the next day and went next door to another hotel. Will not recommend to anyone.

This is not your usual HIG Express. First off the door wouldn’t lock. The toilet had difficulty flushing or ran nonstop. The room was dim as the lamps had burned out bulbs. Don’t know how housekeeping can even see the dirt. It was quite and easy to find. So I gave one extra star.

Great until breakfast. This hotel had 5 stars until the rude and condescending breakfast staff ruined our stay. Late opening and when I inquired I was basically told off and the 2 workers continued to eat their food and talk on their phones. I turned on the lights as there was other folks trying to get coffee to get on the road. I didn’t want a accident. Guess it was the retired nurse in me.

Stayed here on the night of 2/19/23. Clean property, friendly check in. Good standard Holiday Inn Express Breakfast. One improvement is that the gentleman who checked us in could have had a little more knowledge about local restaurants. No biggie, still a 5. Good location, across from a Wal Mart. I would recommend and I would stay here again.

Due to last minute changes due to weather I booked their conference room for my son's birthday. Upon arrival we went to pay and give our info to the front desk clerk. They didn't make a reservation they wrote it all down on a piece of paper. We were told that it would be 400 with a 150 deposit. We were informed we would be given the 150 back if we cleaned our mess and made sure we took the trash out. We did all of these things even cleaning pancake powder off the floor that wasn't even our mess. We supplied all our decorations plates untensils and anything we need for the party. The party was moved last minute due to weather so i already had everything i needed. We were there for maybe 4 hours tops. I personally cleared the trash myself and walked it to the dumpster ensuring it got out. We went up the front to let her know we were done and she came to check the room giving us the okay and only giving us 100 out of 150. I informed her that we were told we would receive 150 back. Yo which she replied that's not what was said and called her manager Alejandra. Alejandra told us that she told the front desk to tell us it was 100 not 150 as we were previously told and that she would call the next day. I received the call the next morning stating that she talked to the front desk lady who then told her she told us 100 but in reality she said 150 but that she would return the money anyways. We were then called back saying they couldn't give us the money bad due to the fact we used their plates and kitchen supplies and didn't take the trash. I replied that we had and that everything was taken care of when we left. She said okay fine we will return it again. I then posted a bad review on my Facebook and for sale in dumas to warn other as it's my freedom of speech to do so. A member of the hotels management is an admin and deleted it. Then on my post on my personal page a picture of the "trashcan that was not emptied" was commented where it showed NONE of our trash and captioned The trash that YALL left. Their concrete evidence was birthday cake on the trashcan. But all of our cake was eaten so it couldn't have been ours. The plates in the trashcan where white where and my plates I had at the party were black and gold and some said mr. Onderful on there. If I could give negative stars I would
