Room upgraded to a double can’t really fault anything maybe some minor updates as the place looks a tad dated.

1st room was terrible had to ask to change rooms. The two members of staff were very polite & friendly but unfortunately the hotel room was cold & management controlled the heating. The towel rail didn't work. The walks were damp in the morning by the window. Receptionist asked for payment up front as soon as we got there. Unfortunately I would have left but because we were there for only short while we made the best of it. Wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel and the staff easily surpassed our expectations. We arrived an hour early and thought we'd check in our bags and go for a walk etc. We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered our room and an hour early. The room was very recently decorated and very big and clean The staff, the 5 we met, were delightful and super quick to respond to a small problem we had with a window. The food was served with a smile. The breakfast we both had during our two-night stay was very good and excellent VFM. The hotel will provide if required local councilparking permits at 2.20p for 24-hour parking on the seafront roads. In our view, the hotel staff made us feel very welcome and in our opinion, they were genuinely nice people. We both strongly recommend the Majestic Hotel Thanks to all staff at the hotel for making our stay very pleasant.

Shocking 40th wedding anniversary no electric sockets in our room. So kettle was no use to us.just one mug on tea tray. Dirty shower and outdated cubicle. Meal was OK bottle of wine not chilled. Straight of the shelf. No ice cubes staff not a clue.and that's if u could find one. Faulty towers comes to mind. Would we return a big 👎

.stayed at the majestic hotel the staff are friendly and the hotel is clean we were on the second floor room 204 with a sea view The room had recently been redecorated and had a new shower with new toilet and washbasin..Food was very good,with lots of choices,Staff were excellent with prompt service,we would recommend the Majestic as a good place to stay.

Lovely hotel with good entertainment on, nice bar area , comfortable clean bedroom,welcoming staff especially linsey on reception who resolved our little problem within minuets ,only one thing heating was too warm for us , but we are from the north 😃

It puzzles me when people go on holiday, have a break away from home, they always moan? Your own bed & food are always best, let's agree on that!? My motto is; ( this is for Majestic, rates out of 10 given below.) * You arrive, you are greeted? 10/10. We were welcomed by Robert. * Your room.? Small, but clean. Ok, the odd dodgy damp patch in the bathroom. 6/10. * Evening meal/ Breakfast.? I would say, a wide choice. Food cooked well, portions well presented. ( I have to add, if you are expecting, "eat as much as you can, before you reach the 5000 calorie intake" ) is NOT the case. 10/10 * General staff? Friendly, polite, a real credit to the hotel. 15/10!! ( Thank-you Kerry! ) Jist is, you go away to have some fun? Do it & stop moaning. If you want/ need to moan,do it at the hotel.They will put it right.?

We went for the Shearings 5 day break, nice size bedroom with shower (shower a bit small ), lounge with a sea view very nice with loads of free papers every day, breakfast self service, dinner O.K. but small portions of vegetables, there was a mad dash after dinner by some people to get to the Ballroom for a table, not enough tables for the amount of people, the entertainment is shared by the Burlington and this hotel, it means after Bingo and a quiz you get an hour or less entertainment, first night was good and not so good after that, the Hotel is about 400 yards to the shopping centre if you require it, this Hotel is O.k for short breaks but no longer.
