Room upgraded to a double can’t really fault anything maybe some minor updates as the place looks a tad dated.

Generally good location and services! Just the shower temperature is a bit unstable.

Nice fresh new decor throughout. Warm welcome and good service. Good restaurant menu and great value for money. Restaurant has lovely views of the sea with a great atmosphere. Comfortable rooms. Great location with sea views, peaceful yet near town centre

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 3-day stay. The food at their restaurant exceeded our expectations, with amazing lunch options each day. The service was exceptional, and the relaxing seaside location made it even more special. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Although we didn’t stay here, we ate here and relaxed in the bar. Everywhere is very clean ( you would hardly know refurbishment work was happening. The standard and staff here are very good, The lady in charge very kindly showed us some rooms and we will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Eastbourne. The rooms were light, bright, spacious and beautifully decorated. Glyn and Don look forward to seeing you again soon.

Really nice hotel, staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful. Beds were comfortable, once you let the shower run for a bit temperature was perfect, towels decent quality and breakfast was good - the guy who handled breakfasts checked if items running out and got them replaced which wouldn’t have needed replacing if some people weren’t really really greedy!!!) ate in the restaurant two of the four nights we were there and food was good value and well cooked. Have been to Eastbourne three times in past few years and this is the best of the lot. Would rebook without hesitation, and cannot understand the negative reviews!!!

This hotel appears to be going through refurbishment, but not before time. It is dark, dingy and quite dirty on the upper floors (the refurbishment appears to be on the ground floor only at present). There was a new carpet in my room, but this is fairly superficial - it really needs a complete overhaul. The shower was dirty (hair and muck present) and in need of a proper clean/re-grout/replacement etc. The power was little more than a trickle. The hot tap on the sink didn't work at all (wouldn't turn), the sink needed a better wipe, and there was no soap in the dispenser. Anyone more than an average size person would struggle to use the toilet. The bed was OK (single, but clean). The room was very warm. A 2-speed fan was provided, but offered about the same air movement as someone blowing on me gently. Water gushed down the pipe in the en suite, no doubt servicing other rooms, but this was really loud and woke me up. Breakfast was simple but OK. The advertised 'free Wifi' in public areas is pretty much non-existent, so definitely don't choose this if it's a must for you. It wasn't the most expensive hotel to stay at, and you do get what you pay for - so just be aware. I wouldn't go back.

I went with my friend for a long weekend. We were a bit sceptical at first as we had read some of the reviews. On arrival we were totally surprised. The entrance to the hotel up to reception desk was beautiful. Connor the receptionist couldn’t have been more helpful. He even showed us two rooms for us to pick. The room was very bright with big Victorian windows with a lovely sea view. Well decorated clean and comfortable beds, all been refurbished with new bathrooms/shower. The owner Babar couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel is being totally refurbished to a high standard and when all finished will be a top class hotel and we can’t wait to go back. We had bed and breakfast which was great value. If you going to Eastbourne give this hotel a try it’s a must xxx

This is one of the worst hotels when I got there was not many people there when I got to reception I payed upfront for a evening meal for the week wish I never bothered fooling was not really nice also staff did not know what they were doing I ordered last night a drink which he didn’t know on how to serve it it was a sprit and coke he went to put it into a pint glass breakfast was a joke coffee was not good you had to get the hot water from a flat cereal was cheap
