So I checked into this hotel late on a Sunday night April 22nd. I had a 2 day business trip in the city. My company books the hotels. After an uneventful pleasant check in experience I went into the room and settled in. At about midnight there was a lot of noise outside, to my dismay there was a huge construction crew doing roadwarks. The noise was very, very bad. It went on until 2 am. Needless to say, by the time they finished, I was wide awake having pressed my shirts, caught up with some work, etc. Today I went to reception and asked if I could be moved to another room in the back of the hotel. I didn't complain as I know it hadn't been the hotel's fault. The lady and gentleman in reception were super apologetic and promptly gave me another room, not only that, they also upgraded my room which they didn't have to. I hadn't asked to move rooms the night before as I kept hoping the construction crew would finish soon, and to be honest I was very tired after long flight delays. The staff had an opportunity to satisfy a customer and they did. I did not ask for the upgrade or made a fuss as all I wanted was to make sure I had a good night sleep in case the construction crew came back tonight. Well done to the staff, I'll return.
