Kings Camp was fantastic….from the room to the spa, the bar and let’s talk about the meals for vegans….so many delicious options! And they can curate a menu for any food allergies/preferences. Our field guide and spotter, Jason and Albert, were world class as well….we saw every animal imaginable, knowledge of birds/local ecosystem/flora was amazing….we learned so many things! I traveled with my sister and it was mostly couple at the camp, but we never felt out of place…great fellow travelers that we had a great time with. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Kings Camp for our honeymoon. The villas were beyond nice and the restaurant food and service well exceeded expectations. Our ranger Cynet and tracker Sunnyboy made our game drives absolutely fantastic. We would definitely return and recommend Kings Camp to friends and family going on safari.

The staff are some of the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. Hospitality is off the charts. I stayed with family (6 of us) in the Waterbuck villa. Absolutely stunning. They also have a bunker where you can watch animals drink from the watering hole which made for an awesome place to read a book and watch groups of animals come to cool off. There were some birthdays and anniversary celebrations that Patricia organized for us. Each one unique, fun and memorable. Chef Lungi’s cooking was insanely good. I will miss his lamb. If you’re an adventurous eater there are lots of options to try different game meats, or you can stick with something less adventurous, it’s all amazing and there are always a tons of options. The game drives were spectacular, scenery beautiful. Our guide and tracker Cynet and Sunnyboy were filled with knowledge and made us laugh a ton. Can’t thank them enough for the amazing experience. The lodging was gorgeous and what you’d expect when thinking of a traditional, sophisticated and upscale safari experience. The managers Lysha and Warren seem like they are great managers to their staff. Always pleasant and ensured we had what we needed. 10/10 would recommend.

ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL time at this resort lodge. My wife and I stayed at this splendid lodge and celebrated my 60th birthday. The accommodations, game drive, meals, massages, etc., were absolutely impeccable. My wife organized a surprise birthday party with the kitchen staff and they did not disappoint. My cake was beautifully decorated and very delicious, the decorations and native celebration was heartfelt and warm. All of the guests had a beautiful time celebrating with me. Warren and Lisha are the managers and they greet every guest with a personal "hello". The spa service is outstanding as Mfundo gives a relaxing massage. Ronald keeps all guests safe and secure; while Jason and Albert, ranger and tracker, do an excellent job of ensuring that guests will have an opportunity to commune with the big 5 and other animals as well as birds. The rooms are clean, and very well furnished. If it is privacy, peace and solitude that you are looking for than look no further than Kings Camp, they will NOT disappoint.

I am very fortunate to have been to a lot of places and done a lot of things, but must honestly say this was one of the very best. I was very sceptical and hesitant about going on Safari. Oh how wrong I was. All of the staff, from the welcome at reception, Grant and Goodman on the Land rover, to the catering staff - they all worked really hard to make the 5 days oh so special. We had seen the big 5 in the first two days and wondered if we had made a mistake in booking 5 days. Wrong again, each day gave a more. The Leopard eating then taking it's kill up a tree, a large herd of elephants at a watering hole (plus the adolescent bull throwing his weight around) and morning coffee by the river with hippo's and crocs in the river. Even in camp there were different animals coming to the camp watering hole to drink day and night which we watched from the underground hide. Food and accommodation were superb. Such a good time, so many great memories.

Stayed three nights, flying in an out from their Rockfig airstrip with Fed Air, in this Timbuvati Lodge. Although slightly larger - 11 rooms, it felt friendly and welcoming from the first arrival to the managing team, Warren and Leisha waving us off on our departure. The lodge provided great guiding and viewing opportunities in a different landscape to what we had experienced in Sabi Sabi. With a passion for photography we had arranged a private vehicle, and were teamed with Jason and Albert. Jason, our guide was himself a keen photographer, always taking his camera and long lens with him, which meant he had a great eye for angles and light, and lots of tips to make photos better. The range of wildlife and birds over the six game drives was superb, including families of Lions as well individual Leopards with the results of their kills - quite gruesome in the case of one group which had taken down a pregnant giraffe. But also owls, tawny eagles, warthogs, lots of elephants, hyenas, zebra and wild dogs. Throughout the drives, Jason was good company, sharing great insights into the wildlife, but also South Africa more generally. Two things that singled out King’s Camp photographically were, firstly, Jason’s readiness to do some star photography one night after dinner, driving ten minutes from the camp to capture some dark skies and the Milky Way. Secondly, last year Warren put in a photographic hide at eye level with the watering hole. This allows both daytime viewing and night time, when the water hole is lit up, capturing animals including around 10 elephants coming to drink. All this against the backdrop of a great, large room, excellent food (too excellent - the breakfast on the return from the morning drive was so filling we skipped lunch), a great bar area - and shop and spa as well. All this made possible by the commitment of Warren, Leisha and the team.

What an amazing experience! The camp is beautiful, and our family suite was plenty of space for a family of four. Our guide, Cynet and tracker, Sunnyboy made every game drive an unforgettable experience. From spotting the big 5 on the very first day, to African wild dogs, on to a pride of lions tracking buffalo and seeing tiny lion cubs. The kids had an absolute blast, and I have never seen them so ready to be ready before sunrise. The food is exceptional and the staff goes out of its way to leave no stone unturned for your enjoyment. You will not be disappointed!

Kings Camp created an experience far above our expectations , and we are a very well traveled couple. From arrival to departure the entire staff went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were being fulfilled. The food was great, the service was great and the Safari game drives were beyond compare. Special kudos to Jason and Albert a Ranger and tracker team that might just be the industries best. Animal and bird recognition, tracking some elusive species and an expanded knowledge of animal habits, chemistry and even reproductive functions turned our game drives into a graduate course of animal history and biology.

Truly superb experience top to bottom. Accommodation stunning, quality of food fantastic, attention to detail and attention service first class & then there was the game drives - oh wow! Cyenit & Sonnyboy were brilliant, they ensured we saw everything we needed. Really skilled trackers & instinctively knew when something was likely to happen so would be patient not to move on too soon. Great at manoeuvring us into a position to get the vest shot. Informative & entertaining too.
