Super 8 by Wyndham El Dorado

Deceiving pics on website. Looked like a rehabed La Quinta. However, it wasn’t like them. It had PICTURES of rock sidewalls, not real rock like the La Quinta. The desk was nice but the entire property was run down. Room was old looking tho king bed was nice. Had to ask for full size towels as our room didn’t have any. Towels were big, soft and really nice. Shower was nasty and looked to have mold growing under the shower mat. Both the soap and shampoo in the shower were empty. It was cheap and that was the best part. Won’t stay there again

Sheets were NOT clean. Large stain on the duvet & when I pulled the sheets back, several stains. Disgusting

The room cleanliness left a little to be desired, dust in desk and tables, floor that hasn’t been swept and had left over candy etc, towels in bathroom looked dirty (hopefully just stained) door handle opens up not down which was frustrating and probably should be told to guests if you know it’s backwards to decrease frustrations. The rooms were noisy!! 6am wake up call by kids in the next room who probably lived in the hotel but it was so loud it sounded like they were standing next to us. It was ok for one night!

Clean, safe, friendly.

This Super 8 has a large parking area to the side for semi-trucks and RV's, and some eating options nearby so we don't have to detach the pulled car. It would be excellent if the entrance/exit where the RV's are parked weren't quite so low. Our 1-king room was better than previous times here.

Over all everything is good and The pricing for the room was great.

I don't have any problem with my stay, staff was nice. BUT BE VERY VERY CAREFUL , UNTRAINED FRONT DESK STAFF CAN RIP OFF IF YOU GIVE A CREDIT CARD TO THEM. Here is my story. I prepaid $315 to Super 8 in El Dorado, KS through AMA travel ( AAA ) for 4 days on June 10th. When I checked in on June 13 th, Alley at front desk got my CC numbers to charge $50 deposit for my stay. After I went home, I looked at my CC statement and found out the day I left Super 8 had charged $ 275 for my stay for 4 days. When I called Alley was @ front desk & she denied charging room fees again, she said they charged only $50 & will refund in 4 days. In my CC statement, there were NO $50 charge the day I checked in, but there were $ 275 charge, the day checked out on June 17th even though this was a prepaid stay . Alley kept denying charging for the room again. I called back & fourth for 1 week with Super 8 & AMA to get a refund, even though Super 8 mistakenly charged me again for the prepaid room, AMA refunded my money. If I did not check my statement , I would have double paid for my stay. Super 8 staff is there to rip off you. SO BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DEAL WITH THIS SUPER 8 LOCATION. Probably staff is not trained how to handle a prepaid customer. I wanted to iron my clothes & asked for iron. Alley simply said that they dont have one. After I insisted they should have a one in a hotel for customers, she called someone & found & brough it. When I was using the iron, she knocked my door & said someone else want the iron after me. I am so glad, I got her to find the iron. Otherwise Alley will tell the other person there is no iron. I wish staff is more knowledgeable with transactions & customer service. Sam was very helpful & nice , once I asked about attractions near by, he brought me some books & magazines to go through. Overall this location is a convenience place, everything is near by eatery, walmart, dollar store etc. VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR MONEY WHEN YOU GIVE A CREDIT CARD TO THIS LOCATION. THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOU.

The hotel was dirty. There was trash on the stairway and hallway. It had not been vacuumed for a while.The room did not have fresh towels. When asked for fresh towels the clerk switched our room to another room without fresh towels. There was an almost empty roll of toilet paper and no extra roll. The door lock was not safe. For the breakfast: the cereal containers were not filled, there were only 2 granola bars, and uncertain if the waffle maker worked.

Staying with the super eight, I got exactly what I wanted. My expectations were not very high. What I wanted, was a place to buy my head for the night, have coffee in the morning, that was pet, friendly from my cat, and had the basic amenities. That’s exactly what I found basic amenities. Resounding plus that was there when I arrive past midnight and was performing all the housekeeping chores the following morning. Just a sweet kid.
