The best value hotel near Washington Dulles Airport is the best choice for arriving in the evening. It is also convenient to travel to the city the next day. In addition, there are hot water and instant noodles, suitable for Chinese people.

I wouldn’t have written a review had it not been for Shaham’s exceptional service. He was extremely accommodating and super courteous during my stay. The breakfast was more than delightful and I got to enjoy chatting with the front desk on more than one occasion. Thank you again Shaham!

2 Nights solo traveler, October 27-29, 2023. I would not recommend nor stay here again Mediocre hotel. Room B-225 - back of the hotel, far from check-out, breakfast and gym. Parking at night was a bit sketchy in the back, so I parked closer to the front and walked further. If the weather was cold or rainy/snowy, this would have been quite cumbersome. The room was clean and spacious, with a full kitchen. However my room had a missing privacy curtain, so the drapes had to remain closed. Drapes were old and tattered with holes. The bed sheets, clean, were also old and had holes. The breakfast was your free, standard, high-carb American breakfast: pancakes, cereals, breads, etc. Check-in (although the check-in guy gave me a sub-par room) and check-out was efficient. . $5/night parking Convenient location close to restaurants, shops, freeway.
Residence Inn Fairfax City

Really great spot for multi week business trip stay. Conveniently located to I-66, as well as all the businesses, stores, restaurants, that the City of Fairfax has to offer. The staff here were exceptional, very friendly, made comfortable conversation, greeted me by name, handed me my mail when I walked in through the lobby door, and definitely made this feel like a comforting place to return to at the end of each day. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a multi week or multi month place to stay in the Northern Virginia area.

Our 2-queen bed room was okay, nothing special. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great. Interestingly, when we tried the TV, it wouldn't turn on. I thought it might be the batteries in the remote. I called the front desk, and someone showed up in about 10 minutes. No, not the remote. He did something, i.e., put in some kind of code. Aren't hotel TV set supposed to be ”ready to go?” A recent review remarked about the lengthy check in process (with no one waiting). I experienced that too. Interesting? The breakfast room is huge and attractive. We sat at a table overlooking the pool. Breakfast, at best, was fair. The sausage patty was ice cold, in spite of it being in a metal container labeled ”hot.” The potatoes was not hot either. There were no pastries in the little pastry ”cabinet.” I had to ask about them. He brought out two kinds of mini muffins (okay) and, I think, donut holes (stale?), which were cold, probably just out of the refrigerator. Getting in and out of the hotel grounds was a challenge, i.e., not easily done, especially during high traffic times. And, yes, the hotel is convenient to GMU, only about 2 1/2 miles away.
Hampton Inn Fairfax City

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights at the end of March 2023. On arrival, we noticed that there was a cherry picker outside the hotel and that work appeared to be happening. At reception, there was a piece of paper taped to the desk explaining that building renovations had now been finished and that painting was all that was still being carried out - and that this would not happen outside 9-6. The check-in staff member advised that we would have to request a room refresh as Hampton Inn no longer did so - until the 5th night. We were on a 2-night stay. I asked the reason for this and he told me it was connected to Covid. When I pointed out that this no longer seemed a current reason he told me that it 'depends on which policy you read'. To me this is cost-cutting. The room was, however, lovely and recently refreshed. It was spotless. I agreed with the other reviewer about the lack of sound insulation through doors. We could hear everything out in the hallway - when someone went into the room next door or opposite it was so loud that it felt like they were coming into our room. We could also hear into the next-door bathroom. That was the only downside. That and the fact that we forgot to ask for that room refresh after all. Breakfast was standard.
