POSITIVES: Fantastic views Nice Pool area Clean NEGATIVES Parking spaces can be a real problem- not enough and far too small Room - paid for a sea view and ended up in a dungeon type room on the ground floor with access only via a narrow winding staircase with no lift access. This staircase in my opinion is dangerous for the elderly or even anyone having had a few drinks. (We fall into the elderly category) Avoid rooms 101-106!!!!!!!! No separate shower.Smallest bath towels ever experienced. Empty fridge,No water provided,No tea of coffee in the room Ants in the room and bathroom all the time. Room safe (Small) charged extra which consisted of being given the complete cylinder /barrel to insert into a hole in the safe! Breakfast terrible - no daily variation , mainly cold meats and cheese. Solid scrambled eggs etc etc . If you required cold milk for cereals or a cup of tea you had to request it! To sum the hotel up- 2 star at best very dated and overpriced-worst hotel that I have stayed at in visits to the Algarve in 29 years of visits.

We've stayed here before so were looking forward to going back. The gardens down to the beach were previously were tranquil and interesting, the pool a lovely attraction and great views. However, this time we were quite disappointed. The pool was still good. But the bar/cafe didn't open until 12 and closed at 6pm. Lots of people didn't arrive to sit around the pool until late afternoon so 6pm closing is too early. The lack of food on offer was poor. We didn't eat as we didn't want a toasted sandwich. Breakfast is not great. It's a buffet in a very small area so when the hotel is busy it's hard work. Same limited selection daily. Some days pastries good - other days quite stale. No atmosphere around the bar area in the evening. It was used to sit and wait for someone before going out. Good car parking, great location just out of town but an easy 25 min walk.

There is no doubt the location of this hotel is stunning, it is a 20 minute walk to the nearest supermarket or restaurant though. The pool area is superb - hard to beat. Cleanliness is top notch. The hotel itself is a bit tired and out of date compared to others we have visited. For 4* I would expect tea and coffee making facilities in room, stocked mini-bar, a safe with lock, bath robes, decent bath towels and a toiletries regularly replenished. Now to food - this hardly reached acceptable. Breakfasts fruit often on the turn with the fizzy taste, eggs hard boiled, congealed scrambled and rubber fried eggs. Cereal choice poor. Good choice of pastries, breads and jams though, although sometimes a little stale. Coffee wet and warm! Hot water for tea warm. Lunches OK but very basic and served like a school dinner. Evening meal - extremely poor only managed one night thank goodness we were not on half board. This possibly makes the distance to a supermarket and restaurant more important. I would recommend if you plan to stay here hire a car! Great restaurants in Ferragudo and Carveiro. Would I stay again, I loved the break, if breakfasts were improved possibly.

Malgré qu'il nécessite quelques rénovations au niveau des chambres et des sanitaires, très bon hôtel très bien situé, au calme, et à 5 minutes en voiture de Ferragudo et ses nombreux restaurants. Très bon buffet petit-déjeuner varié (salé et sucré). Personnel aimable. Superbe vue sur mer et piscine. Plage accesible à pied en 5 minutes par un petit chemin arboré très agréable.

This is a very beautiful location. Be sure to get a room with ocean view, the view is beautiful. Casabela feels like it has seen better days. But there is so much to like here. The breakfast quality is only mediocre and the sound insulation between rooms is not good. But if you have a bit of a sense of adventure, this is well worth a look

Wir hatten bereits im Frühjahr ein Zimmer mit Meerblick über TUI gebucht, mit Wunsch oberster, also 3. Stock. Als wir ankamen wurden wir im 1. Stock einquartiert, mit dem Hinweis das oberste Stockwerk wird im Oktober nicht mehr belegt und alle andern Zimmer wären ausgebucht. Wie wir aber feststellen mussten, entsprach das nicht der Wahrheit. Mehrere Zimmer im 3. Stock wurden im Laufe der Woche belegt. Ein Hotel, das die Wünsche seiner Gäste so ignoriert und diese mit unwahren Aussagen abfertigt, verdient seine Gäste nicht! Wir können das Hotel daher nicht weiterempfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig und das kann je nach Nachbarn die Urlaubsfreude sehr einschränken. Das Frühstück bietet keine Abwechslung, das Abendessen hatten wir gottseidank nur einmal in Anspruch genommen. Es erinnerte uns eher an das Niveau eines Landschulheims. Fazit: sehr schade um die wirklich sehr schön gelegene Anlage, mit schönem und ruhigen Poolbereich und einem sehr engagierten Mitarbeiter an der Poolbar.

Cadre extérieur magnifique : beau jardin bien entretenu, belle vue, chemin d'accès privatif à la plage très agréable. Mais à l'intérieur ça se gâte et aucun service digne d'un 4 étoiles ! Décoration vintage, pas de bouteille d'eau dans les chambres ni de café ou boisson chaude. Climatisation hors d'âge qui fait un bruit d'enfer. Petit déjeuner catastrophique toujours identique chaque matin sans aucune surprise. Jus d'orange coupé à l'eau, salade de fruits en boite, mauvais croissants, aucune pâtisserie portugaise. Bref, assurément ce lieu ne peut pas mériter 4 étoiles !

Première surprise, nous avions réservé une chambre avec "vue mer" qui finalement n'est plus disponible.... La personne à la réception s'excuse à peine et ne nous propose pas de discount Après quelques minutes, elle nous dit que peut-être une chambre se libérera dans le week-end Super ! Nous avons vue sur le parking 2e déconvenue au delà de la vétusté de l'hôtel, amateurs du vintage welcome, pas de bouteille d'eau dans les chambres, pas de frigo, une climatisation antique et la propreté de la salle de bain à revoir
