We were quite surprised that this hotel actually has 5 stars. No one came to help with our luggage. A not particularly friendly man greeted us at the reception, and we didn't see any other staff members. It felt like a lifeless place, which is unusual for Italy. The room was tiny for the high price. If you expect room service, this is not the place for you. The cleanliness left much to be desired – even the hairdryer was still greasy from the previous guest. The breakfast buffet wasn't even worth getting up for.

The property is extremely well appointed from a design standpoint, but there is a serious lack of sufficient staffing to operate at the standards of a five star hotel. There is no one around in the evening except one person at the front desk who is trying to check in latecomers, order taxis, make dinner reservations and deliver room service. The bar was closed and there is no restaurant other than at breakfast. Room service is a bar type menu, I cannot quite fathom how you can design such a beautiful hotel and not staff it properly. Plus the parking is very tricky, and the streets surrounding the hotel are high traffic, busy streets with buses and trams. The neighborhood is not that far from the center but the walk is quite unattractive. It is, however, close to the train station, so that is a positive if you are arriving by train. I drove. I would consider staying again only when they finish the spa, restaurant and bar. In the meantime, one should prepare to seek out these facilities elsewhere. A positive recommendation goes to Klaudija and Matteo. They did their best to help me…

The hotel claims it’s a five star hotel, I didn’t see that. Basic amenities were not provided like a kettle or a tooth brush. What I really did not appreciate was the A/C. They kept turning it off every 2 hours. I woke up several times at night from the heat, to request they turn it on again. I do not recommend this hotel, the price does not match the service.

The hotel impresses with its beautiful, elegant style! The rooms are spacious with a roomy bathroom. The beds are comfortable. The hotel staff are extremely friendly. In fact, the rooms are very well soundproofed: you can hardly hear the street at all. The breakfast room is pleasantly bright - and the selection of food was excellent. The hotel is a little outside of the hustle and bustle - but the sights are a 10-minute walk away. It's a shame that we couldn't use the new spa yet. It opened a week later. It looked very nice in the pictures.

The room in the lemon house on the first floor is very nice, especially for couples.

A beautiful hotel that lacks an atmosphere. Lovely room but the linen needs a serious makeover; it was not a 5* linen!!
The room needs a coffee machine as at £300 a night and being offered coffee in the morning, was not expecting a €30 bill for a simple drink!!! A rip off!
