This place is a Dump! I’m surprised that it is under the Marriot umbrella, do not waste your Bonvoy points on this terrible hotel! The only thing it has going for it was the young lady who arranged to get us out of there! We checked into the first room and it had a dreadful smell. We went to the front desk and she told us she was sorry and moved us to another room. We were tired and just wanted to rest, we then went into the new room only to find a roach on the bed. This place is nasty and management and the owners should be ashamed of themselves. I believe this place is acting as home for some people displaced for whatever reason and management is just happy to get a section 8 check from the Govt! It has potential being close to the Mimi MLS stadium and the businesses in the area but i could never stay here again.

This was the worst Marriott hotel we’ve ever stayed in. We book with Marriott because we usually can trust we are getting a good hotel, but I have been sorely mistaken and will no longer trust the Marriott name. We stayed in a very nice townplace suites in San Antonio, so also thought we could trust this line, but also were sorely mistaken. This was dirty and awful. Do not stay here.

I would give this zero stars if possible. I have stayed at the this location in the past but it is absolutely gone downhill. The staff are rude and very arrogant. I am a Titanium member and tried for an upgrade. They made me seem like a beggar. They never thanked me for my loyalty but instead acted like they could care less. The room was upgraded for the first night then we would have to move (EVEN THOUGH I COULD SEE THOSE ROOMS WERE OPEN). When we entered the room it smelled like cat urine. It was absolutely FILTHY. I took the washcloth and wiped the bathroom floor and it was like black shoe polish. The stove was dirty and cocked in the kitchen. The carpet was old and smelly. The pool was also dirty and the whole property looks run down. BEWARE and stay somewhere else. We called the Elite line for help and moved over to the Sheraton Suites. NIGHT and day difference. Unbelievable property with extraordinary staff the welcomed us profusely. We had a two room suite over looking the pool. I could have stayed all month it made the Townplace look like a 1980's Days Inn. Ironically we met a couple in the pool that had the exact same experience at the Townplace. They were equally disgusted with that dirty property and horiffic staff. Marriott should be ashamed!!!

First, homeless person was peeing behind a bush near entrance to building where our room was booked. Our first room the bathroom was flooded due to a leak. They were kind enough to move us to a supposed upgraded room. NOT REALLY - Room smelled, hubby killed 2 roaches first night and 2 more second morning. Couch was filled with holes, and almost ate me when I made mistake to sit on it. Mildew and mold were on rug near AC, as well as on a living room chair, leading us to conclusion of a leak they did not correct properly. I kept AC at 65 degrees to keep bugs away, but we froze. Hated this stay and we left next morning even though we were booked for 2 nights. They apologized saying renovations were delayed due to COVID. Hmmm - COVID has been over for quite awhile now. Will NEVER go back, and I think Marriott Bonvoy should be ashamed to have this facility in their choices, especially if they want to continue to charge the rates they do. Totally disappointing.

Our first room had a flooded bathroom from a leak. We were moved to second room which smelled and had roaches (I killed 4). Mold and mildew on the carpet and furniture. Wouldn't use any of the plates, glasses or silverware. Old, run down, in need of a complete remodel nothing like the pictures provided.

The carpet throughout the hotel smells musty. The A/C didn't cool the room adequately. The mattress was like a taco and worn out. The toaster didn't work. The timer for the waffle maker didn't work.

I was very disappointed with this room. Though the hotel grounds were very clean the room itself was a huge disappointment. For the $2100 I paid for the week they could have gone out and purchased a sofa that is comfortable enough to sit on. As a matter a fact there was not a chair in the whole place where you can sit for more than 5 minutes. The toilet was not fastened to the floor do it rocked side to side when sat on. The shower curtain rod was not mounted properly (half moon) so the curtains slid to the middle of the bar and hung in your face while sitting on the toilet. The toilet cover was not the right cover for the toilet so it did not sit properly. Base board were peeling away from the wall. The couch and ottoman were filthy. Also we were sleeping on pillows that were bought at a dollar store. They looked good and fluffy but flattened out to the thickness of a bedsheet when you laid your head to rest. How this hotel is still a Marriott is beyond me. Marriott should fix this hotel or sell it to Motel 6

I am a loyal Marriott member and will be titanium status very soon. In all of my many stays across the country and internationally this is by far the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at. I will say I stayed at this property in 2019 and had a decent experience. Since then, this place has gone down hill severely. The staff are friendly but everything else is a horror story. The first room I stayed in smelt like mildew, when I woke up the next morning I noticed red droplets on the carpet, brown splatters on the bathroom walls and the shower was severely discolored and gross. In the afternoon the water was shut off without warning. They blamed the city, yet I was told I could be put in another room on their property that did have water. That second room was hardly any better. The doorknob for the bathroom was falling off the door, there were many curly hairs in the shower and the towels either had 6 hairs in them or black stains. I do not understand how one location can be such a disaster. It’s unsanitary and very unlike Marriott. I asked to be switched to another location and they said because they’re a franchisee/3rd party they cannot. The sad part is I had another hotel booked for months but switched to this one last minute because I remembered the experience I had previously. Biggest regret of my life. Never again. I left half way through my stay—I’m surprised I made it through two nights

GREAT PROPERTY!!! it was VERY CLEAN, starting with the parking lot all the way inside and to the room itself. This is something that has always been important to me and just because of this I will continue to go back every time I am in the area. The staff was amazing too!!!very friendly, knowledgeable and professional at all times.. They went above and beyond throughout my stay. All the staff looked so happy to work at this hotel. Hands down!! This is my go to hotel from now on. Thank you to all the staff for making my trip a memorable one.
