I have had a most unpleasant experience with this guesthouse in the first week of August 2024. The guest house had an arrangement with a third party to sell vouchers for a stay at the guest house. I obtained the same voucher which this guesthouse refused to accept. The Manager Janet Roets seemed to look for every reason not to honor the voucher. What was supposed to be a pleasant birthday excursion was suddenly marred by the crass attitude displayed by Manager and what clearly seems to be deceptive marketing. Thankfully, at an additional expense I found a most comfortable, well-appointed and rather pleasant establishment in the Franschhoek that went out of its way to make my day special

Amazing stay at a beautiful property with great staff, fabulously comfy bed, a really good tasty breakfast selection and an easy stroll into the lovely town of Franschhoek. We were welcomed early, prior to our winery tour and had a fabulous stay at this stunning property.

First time we stayed at Macaron and if was a very pleassant stay ! Very nice staff all over the place. We specially liked the breakfast with the fresh berries. It's just some steps away from the main road, so its very calm. The garden was very nice and the area at the pool was very very nice to. We had a room with an open fire and it was very nice to start the fire in the evening as it was rather chilly ! A place to go back to again and again and again....

The property is enchanting, so well situated right in the heart of town but one block off the Main Street so nice a quiet, and the staff is cheerful and so helpful.

Wonderful, large rooms, quiet room and gardens with lovely pool. 5 mins from the main street and access to restaurants but you wouldn't be able to tell by the noise level. Really helpful staff and great breakfast. Would highly recommend.

The rooms are beautiful the location it self took my breath away, people who work there are very nice and friendly everything was neat and clean, and even much better if you go there during summer with three pools to keep you refreshed and cool

Macaron Guest House is located just off the Main Street in Franschhoek which is a perfect location for exploring the wine region. The guest house is set in the most beautiful gardens with a swimming pool and comfortable sun beds. Breakfast is freshly cooked for you every morning with a selection of fruits and breads too. Our room was perhaps not one of the nicest ones, situated closest to the entry gate, but we understand there are better rooms, so would have no hesitation in staying again. All in all we had a lovely stay and very good value for money too.
