Overall our experience was excellent. The building is located about 200meters from the port bridge leading to Monemvasia. It is best to arrive by car, as the location is an uphill from the coastline. This allows for excellent views from the upper levels of the hotel (note: there is no elevator lift). An unpaved parking lot reserved for guests is convenient, also. Adjacent to the hotel is a school, something to keep in mind when booking from mid-September to early June. The hotel building is compact yet functional and inviting. The narrow yard at the entrance is cozy and shaded, decorated with plants and nice patio furniture. The ladies at the reception are pleasant, helpful and welcoming at all hours of the day or evening. Our room was on the third level. From our balcony we enjoyed a great view out to sea and the rock of Monemvasia. Well worth the walk up the flights of steps to get to the upper level! The only drawback to the excellent view is that the A/C motor units are installed low on the balconies. Not only does this take up balcony space, it also means the motor's noise is right next to you when you sit outside. This lessened our enjoyment of the unique sunset or moonlit views in the evenings, when the A/Cs of the adjacent rooms are operating. Maybe a re-installation of the AC motors at the rear balcony of the building instead of the sea view side (or at least overhead) is a worthy investment for the maximum convenience of guests. Other than this detail, the rooms are very nice. Spacious - even the triple bed studio - and very clean. Bed mattress, bedding, lighting, furniture, all are functional, well-placed and in fresh condition; nothing appeared overused or frayed. The bathroom has a spacious shower stall with proper glass divider to prevent water spraying onto the floor (a common nuisance). The kitchenette is compact and fully functional; we cooked meals with little or no hassle. Cookware is provided, including a useful sandwich toaster. The minifridge is a contemporary model and operates nicely.
