The hotel is a renovation of an old perfume factory, on the Douro River, very beautiful! worth staying multiple times

Really fabulous property, a bit further out but so relaxing, great rooms, lovely balcony, loads of places to sit and watch the world go by. Couldn’t fault it, if they had a shuttle it would be perfect

Fue una estancia inmejorable, el trato del personal desde que llegas a la recepción pasando por el personal de comedor, de la limpieza, etc.. todos muy amables y dispuestos a solucionar cualquier duda. Por poner una pega, está un poco alejado del centro, pero con taxi o Uber en nuestro caso se soluciona (5,5€ aprox.) ir al centro. Sin duda repetiremos nuestra estancia cuando volvamos a visitar Oporto. Muchas gracias a todos por hacernos más fáciles las vacaciones.

My stay at this hotel was great. As a family we enjoyed our experience. The customer service from start to finish made us feel so welcome. We were fortunate to have the indoor swimming pool opposite our rooms and my children took full advantage of the opportunity to practise what they had learnt after 4 months of swimming lessons. The outdoor swimming pool was utilised. It has a great view of the Douro river which is so calming. Our rooms looked out onto the river where we saw jet skis, ferries and boats passing by. The breakfast buffet was delicious every morning with friendly people on hand to assist with additional orders like omelette with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and salmon. There is a nice riverside path next to the hotel that leads to a childrens playground, outdoor gym equipment, and a Jewellery Museum (Gondomar). It is a 25-30 minute walk to the main city area where you have river tour guides up the Douro river, bars, restaurants and all the retail shops. We stayed for a week and we will return. Thank you for taking care of us.

Hotel is 1 hr walk from historic center .
Staff in hotel restaurant were not friendly .
I would recommend a hotel in historic area
