Cooking class and wine tasting My husband and I took a cooking class and wine tasting here, and it was a highlight of our trip! You HAVE to take this class. The food was amazing, and we learned so much. Elena and her family were so sweet and knowledgeable. The wine was excellent too!

The cooking class with Pietro was the highlight of our time in Chianti. He was so knowledgeable and a true professional cook! It was great getting to know him and the history of the family especially his Grandfather. We can’t stop talking about how fresh the food was, for example he picked a lemon off of the tree to put the zest in our Grandmother cake. Thank you! -Stephanie & Stephen

Podere Campriano is a place that will remain in our hearts forever! Elena, Luca, Pietro and the rest of the family were magnificent hosts. From the beginning, their hospitality showed in some many of the little things…the fine touches in our apartment, the view over Greve from our garden table, to the amazing breakfast each morning…there was so much to absorb and appreciate. And we did. The cooking class and winery tour gave us great respect for Elena and her family’s love and talent for Chianti and their lovely home. If you’re planning a trip to Chianti, this is the place, whether as a base for day trips to the region, or just to kick back and relax. We found this to be the perfect place to cap off a two week trip to Italy.

Stay here! The views are stunning, rooms are clean and comfortable, wonderful outdoor areas to relax (including pool) and impressive hospitality. Our hosts, Elena and Pietro, offered great suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. They started our days with delicious breakfasts and led a cooking class that became a vacation highlight. We loved Podere Campriano so much, we had wine shipped home to toast our time there.

We recently stayed at Podere Campriano for a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle following our stay in Florence (which we loved). Their winery did not disappoint. A short hike from downtown Greve, our Serra apartment was clean, private and enjoyed great views. Word of caution: we traveled Italy without a car- tram, private car to Podere for a Chianti tour and bus back to Florence. If on foot, the hill from town up to the winery is moderately steep and about 300 meters/yards long. We are 75 and 73 and made the hike 6 or 7 times but be forewarned. Beyond that, the property is wonderful. Elena is a gracious hostess and makes a great omelet. While the breakfast is an optional 10 euros, it was worth it. Quite possibly the most enjoyable thing we did on our 55th anniversary trip was the cooking class we enjoyed with two other couples under the tutelage of Elena and son Pietro. Made bread, dessert, prepared the meat and vegetables, toured the wine making process and ate the 5 course meal we helped prepare all while enjoying a liberal amount of their wonderful wines. A totally enjoyable four hour adventure. As a bonus, Elena graciously took us to bus station and helped us buy the right tickets back to Florence ( 5 euros each). Grazie Elena, Pietro and Luca

The Winery and Apartment accommodations were perfect! The morning breakfast was delicious with so much care taken for a beautiful presentation! Take the cooking class it is an amazing experience! The food was so simple and sensational with wine tastings for each course. Elena , Luca and Pietro are wonderful host who treat their guest like family. We had an awesome time on the Tuscany leg of our vacation staying at Podere Campriano. Much thanks to our wonderful host! We hope to be back one day! Oh and their Bernese Mountain dogs are so cute!

We stayed at Podere Campriano for 4 days and it was an amazing property with breathtaking views hosted by a family that only cares about the customer experience thanks to Elena, Luca and Pietro. The room was well layed out and clean and the cooking class took things to a new level in terms of understanding local Italian cooking and recipes. The wine was also excellent and it was nice to be able to buy bottles during the stay to enjoy an evening wine as the sun sets in Chianti. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends and will try and make it back when we return to Italy.

After my parents visited years ago and raved about their stay, this place has been at the top of my list to visit. From the moment you arrive, Elena and Pietro made us feel right at home. They made sure to go above and beyond so that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. The cooking class is a must do! An unforgettable experience learning from Elena and Pietro. We also got to take a tour of the cellar while the food was cooking where Pietro talked us though the making of the wines and his family history which was so special. Definitely topped any other cooking class we've done. The most beautiful and kind hearted family I think I've ever met. Elena is incredibly nurturing and made sure we had everything we needed to get back to Florence safely after our stay, even dropping us to the station and waving us off. Our favourite stay from our two months of travels. We will for sure be back. Georgina & Sophie x
