Family-friendly Hotels in Guilin

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

We were welcomed warmly by the reception at Holiday Inn Express in Guilin. Check in was fast and we were shown to our rooms within 15 minutes. We stayed for 3 nights and each day, the rooms were kept immaculately clean when we return while out visiting the scenic spots. The self service laundry is a big plus that the hotel offered, especially so for families with young children. The breakfast spread has a mix of local and international flavours. My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

Great hotel in a wonderful and convenient location. Staff were particularly helpful and check in was super easy. In particular, Peng Min at the hotel front desk was very patient in answering all our questions about tour bookings and even helped us book a 4 start cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo for the next day. Thanks to the team at the hotel for making our stay and trip so easy and enjoyable.

Seize the tail of the holiday and come to Guilin for a few days. The first choice is Guilin Hotel. Guilin Hotel has a superior geographical location. It is in the Rong Lake Scenic Area, with beautiful scenery, quietness and convenient transportation. The front desk check-in is handled by Meng Yan, the lobby assistant manager, and Qin Yuyang. The two are warm and polite, skilled in business, and conscientious in their work. During the stay, the children's clothes were not dry after changing and washing. The beautiful Meng Yan helped us very enthusiastically and patiently to control the clothes to dry. The service attitude is very good and deserves praise! The room is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is diverse, the stay is comfortable, and the play is fun. I will come again next time.

Super location, walking distance to all tourist sites like Elephant Mountain, and cafes , restaurants, etc. Front staff MsLin Ran, graciously accepts our complimentary breakfast request. Other front staffs are also very helpful in providing information on getting around the places. Breakfast was simple but well spread with choices. Coffee allow to take away. Room was spacious and very clean.

A very nice hotel with luxurious decoration and spacious and sanitary rooms. My family likes it very much. There is a shopping mall downstairs, which is super convenient for eating and shopping. You can just ride a shared bicycle to the surrounding attractions. It's so convenient!

It is very convenient and close to various scenic spots in downtown Guilin from the hotel. 4. The hotel staff are enthusiastic and patient, especially a young lady named Yang Hua who can call my name every time we meet, and recommends us many restaurants where Guilin locals go to eat, which are really delicious. The aunt who cleaned our room also served with a smile. 5. The hotel also has free luggage storage service. After checking out in the morning, you can store your luggage at the hotel for free. You can go out to play in the afternoon without worry, and go back to the hotel to pick up your luggage when you are ready to leave Guilin. 6. In short, the cost-effectiveness is full, and the emotional value is also full. My mother and I are very satisfied with Huaxing Hotel! Family members, Huaxing Hotel is just a place to go with your eyes closed!

Guilin's landscape is the best in the world, it's worth your visit [naughty] I will continue to stay in this hotel when I come to Guilin in the future. Before I checked in, I saw some online reviews saying that it was not very good, and I was a little nervous. I didn't expect it to be unexpectedly good haha~ The front desk lobby manager provided very good service. She upgraded the room we booked for free and gave us a breakfast coupon. I was very satisfied [rose][rose] In the evening, I took my 5-year-old child to walk to the East and West Lane for 3-5 minutes. The stay was very comfortable, especially the central air-conditioning in the room. The size and layout of the air outlet were set very reasonably. The air-conditioning temperature was comfortable, unlike some hotels that were freezing and uncomfortable. People who can't use air conditioning have no problem. The children cheered directly and said that it was comparable to the high-end hotels they had stayed in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Sanya! Hahaha~ It added a good mood to the happy trip.
