Great hotel in a wonderful and convenient location. Staff were particularly helpful and check in was super easy. In particular, Peng Min at the hotel front desk was very patient in answering all our questions about tour bookings and even helped us book a 4 start cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo for the next day. Thanks to the team at the hotel for making our stay and trip so easy and enjoyable.

Came to Guilin and stayed here for one night. This is the first time I entered a Vienna Hotel. The hotel is very cost-effective. The room is very clean. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and friendly. The service is also very good. The location of the hotel is good and the transportation is convenient. There is a night market, I will choose here next time
Shangri-La Guilin

Downtown/Elephant Trunk Hill/Two Rivers And Four Lakes
My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again
Guilin Plaza Hotel

Convention And Exhibition Center/Seven Star Park
The customer company is next to it and booked this old hotel. I feel that the equipment has been refurbished when I enter the room. The bed is hard but comfortable. Although the old air conditioner is not small, it is still very powerful. The service is very good, we have a refrigerator with cooked Chinese medicine, room service immediately hugs a small refrigerator, the picture is really cute when the door is opened. Breakfast is really not good for individuals, not even a normal cup of black coffee, only ate one meal, the next day to the opposite RT-Mart to find a restaurant to solve. Next time if you are on a business trip, you can still choose, just don't order breakfast.
Lijiang Waterfall Hotel

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

Lovely boutique hotel with wonderful staff in a quaint neighborhood. Limited but delicious and filling breakfast - recommend getting the Guilin noodles. The room and view was nice. I would stay here again when in Guilin.
