While returning from Kaziranga, we stayed here overnight since we had to catch the morning flight on return. Considering our very good experience in Kzziranga, in the hotel of the same owner, expectations had increased. The location was nice, but I did not realise that Guwahati would be so so crowded :-). Unfortunately, the wear and tear and the lack of basic maintenance was showing. One could not sit on the chair since the seats needed to be refurbished, changed. What I saw the moment I entered the room can be seen in the picture. Other walls (e.g. under the window) had the same problem. Was very very disappointed. My request and suggestion to the management......it does not take more than one day to get one room fixed up --- paint and chair cushion etc. For the price of the room, we did not expect this, really.

This hotel is one of the nice properties in Guwahati. The service here is very good and the rooms are nice. Overall a great experience. It's on the main road of Paltan Bazar so it can be a bit of a hassle during heavy traffic hours, otherwise it's a nice stay.

A delightful and wonderful hotel in Guwahati, Assam. I had considered a number of hotels before I decided on Greenwood Guwahati and this one is excellent! The room was very clean and comfortable with all the conveniences. The restaurant served great food under the fantastic Chef Sandeep. The check in and check out process was great with convenient airport transfers each way. The hotel in itself is beautiful and much care and attention has been given to the interior decor in the rooms as well as the Jholoe Kiya restaurant. A special mention to the following staff who went the extra mile to make my stay a wonderful one: Mr Subasish, Mr Joy, Jitenshu, Futu, Deborah Hmer (best housekeeping staff member!), Prakash, Priya, Simran and Akib Javed. Thank you for a memorable stay! ️
