I booked this motel for two nights as there wasn't much else available in Hall's Gap at the time. Positives - the position is excellent, just behind the town centre and walking distance to restaurants (if they are open!), pubs and cafes. We had a 'Garden View' rather than 'Mountain View' room which was pleasant enough with visiting kangaroos and cockatoos. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the rest of the motel is very dated and in need of a decent clean. The main area has brick walls and wooden panels. It is very dark and really, you need the lights on all the time. There were plates, cutlery, dishwashing liquid etc supplied, but no T-towel. Lucky I had brought my own. The worst bit was definitely the bathroom. No heating, no fan. Bin with no lid (it was broken off). Grime and mould around the shower. You almost needed 2 hands to turn on the basin tap and the benchtop around the basin was marked and worn. For this standard, we paid $150 per night. We won't be back.
