Business travel can take you to many different places. This time, I ended up in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Check-in was easy and respectful. The team member was polite and helpful. My room was clean and had a slight scent of bleach. Given current health conditions running rampant, it was a reassuring. Housekeeping needs to fine tune their process to ensure all surfaces are cleaned well. The club room was disappointing. The offerings were paltry. The hotel restaurant offerings were good. The serving sizes were ample. The service at dinner was disappointing. The service at breakfast was very comforting. Overall, a good stay.

I've traveled quite a bit and spent a lot of nights in hotels. Often a room will look good but then there are flaws in the room design or the furniture is uncomfortable or they went cheap on an accessory. Not here. The design and the details were spot on. Some examples. The TV was large with a good picture and a great selection of stations plus all the popular internet channels. The desk was large providing an excellent work space plus plenty of room for all the incidentals. The bed was very comfortable and had 4 good pillows. The air conditioner worked well and was not overly loud. The bathroom was typical in size but perfectly designed. Walk in shower with 2 heads (one was an overhead waterfall). The counter surface was large enough for toiletries for 2 people. There were hooks and hanging bars for towels in the right places. The room and entire property was super clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, this wasn't the fanciest hotel I have stayed in yet everything was perfect making this one of the most enjoyable hotel stays I have ever had.

Great place great rooms. Very accommodating and even got my dog a couple of dog treats. Would stay here again.
The Pearle Hotel and Spa, whose name pays homage to the family matriarch, Grandmother Pearle, is a luxury hotel located in historic downtown Burlington in Ontario, Canada. The exquisite 151-room hotel is reminiscent of the lake houses of the past where Pearle spent most of her summers. Elegant and free from formality, the hotel embodies the spirit of hospitality. Situated on the Burlington waterfront with Lake Ontario as its backdrop, The Pearle Hotel and Spa features thoughtfully appointed guestrooms and suites, some of which include terraces or balconies, expansive meeting and event space, two locally infused dining facilities and a luxurious spa. The magnificent spiral staircase is one of many signature design elements and takes center stage in the hotel’s lobby. Discover genuine and thoughtful hospitality at The Pearle.

Visited here last year for our anniversary and said we would bring the kids back this year—so we did…and it was just as good as before! The little touches at this hotel are what make it great—the Nespresso coffee makers, the chips and drinks in the room, the postcards you can write and mail, the robes, and more. We were upgraded to a lake view which was great, despite the rainy weather. Any my sons loved the pool area more than anything. I think we are going to make this a yearly thing. The location is a great base to explore the area. This year we did a ropes course nearby. We are an outdoorsy family and can’t wait to come back and check out more!

This is one that I find hard to review, the lady we dealt with is very nice polite and helpful the room was comfortable but found it to be not so clean especially baseboards and tiles, there was no place ( shelves) to put soap, shampoo while in the shower except on the floor. Also Friday night there was an argument outside in parking lot and they choose to argue right by our room and would not move no matter how much we pleaded, I no this is not totally management problems but this is all about our problems at this motel. I hate to write these negative reviews but I feel this needs to be said

A typical Western breakfast, I like it more. The rooms are large and clean, especially the mattresses are good, and they are comfortable to sleep, unlike some hotel mattresses that are soft and collapsed. There is a small swimming pool in the hotel, but I don't have time to play. The hotel is conveniently located in the Burlington service area. The front desk clerk at the hotel is also very nice.
Close to the highway and several businesses, our hotel is 10 kilometers from Burlington's Waterfront Trail and downtown shops and eateries. The Royal Botanical Gardens and downtown Hamilton are within 20 kilometers. We offer an indoor heated pool, fitness center, Speakeasy Lounge and 1,200 sq. ft. of event space for small meetings and functions.

Fantastic Room, Quiet,Clean and Spacious! Highly recommend this location. It’s very close to the QEW and the Niagara/Toronto region. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked. The only recommendation I would make is that being a Silver Hilton Honour Member I wasn’t eligible for a couple of free bottles of water. I would be nice if that was offered to all guests, just a suggestion. Look forward to a return visit.

GGuest UserAnother trusty stay at the local Hilton. This time I was here to use my coins and have a convenient place from which to launch two separate expeditions: first, to the Lit Live Reading Series at the Art Gallery of Hamilton; and, second, to my favourite local bar on James Street North. While I enjoyed some of the literary stylings at the first event, things were ultimately disrupted by an untoward event (the second of the past three months, if memory serves). Things took a similarly negative turn at the second establishment of the evening, although I suppose that was further inside the realm of the expected. At any rate, I survived, and the Hilton was there form me at the end of a hard day once again. There was also a heaping complimentary breakfast in the morning, which helped me transition back into a daily routine of (somewhat) respectable adult living. All of this was very much appreciated! (Although, in spite of the suite-lack amenities and fantastic showering experience[s], there was still [predictably!] no robe with which to complete my relapse into comparative luxury.)
GGuest UserWe were staying at the hotel for 1 night while visiting our sons in Hamilton. Check in was an unfriendly, bordering on rude experience. It definitely seemed as I was interrupting the desk clerk from scrolling on her phone. My husband and I were in separate cars & I arrived about 10 minutes before him. He had booked the room with a government of Canada rate, & because he (& his ID ) weren’t there yet, my daughters & I couldn’t check in. She was quite abrupt, just turned away, jumped on the counter & went back to scrolling on her phone. When my husband arrived, the other desk clerk was free, so we approached her. Again, she demanded his government ID to prove he was an employee. Now, I don’t know if this woman has been living under a rock for the last 3 years, but as he works from home, he does not have an ID badge. The government does not issue business cards either. He showed her emails, clearly addressed to his government work email address (only way you would have a .gc.ca email is if you’re a government employee, but that really seemed to stump her. She said “I don’t know all the government departments”. No one was asking her to! Anyway, in the end she “made an exception” & also “an exception” to allow the rate for both of our booked rooms, as she said only 1 room is allowed at the government rate…someone needs to tell that to the Marriot booking agent who booked the 2 rooms! I also know that a maximum 2 rooms are allowed. Not once through this exchange were either of us rude or demanding, but the clerk was miserable for no apparent reason. The hotel was good enough for the 1 night, though the location was not great. I’m sure there are better, more welcoming hotels in the area that I will be staying at the next time I’m in the area.
JJames MI liked this place when I stayed few years ago, and it is still excellent. It's not too far off the highway. The room was in perfect condition, staff was friendly and it was a comfortable place to stay. It does not have free breakfast, but there is a Denny's next door. The upscale sports bar that is part of the hotel is excellent with great service. And if you need anything, there is a Walmart across the parking lot. I would gladly stray here again.
GGuest UserUnreal stay! Based on reviews we were slightly hesitant but needed a safe haven away from home for the weekend and Super 8 did not disappoint! Staff was amazing on arrival and our 1 out of 2 activated keycards opened our presidential suite with ease. Make sure you bring Fido! Our Great Dane enjoyed the pull out sofa bed immensely and we felt zero judgment walking the halls with our 130 lbs friendly companion. Room was large with 2 double beds. One was much more soft and comfortable than the other so it made for much fun with our overly competitive family of 4. Free bottled water between 6am and 10am! Complimentary breakfast consisted of mini muffins and the granola bars so soft they melted in your mouth like butter! While we were busy hitting dingers on the baseball field a wonderful lady cleaned up our room with exceptional attention to detail, bless her heart. 4.95 out of 5 stars simply because the potholes in parking lot reminded us more of black diamond moguls at the ski resort. We will return! Loved every minute and have inquired about becoming club members.
