Hotels near Liuhuaxie, Hangzhou

It was my first trip to Hangzhou. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and it was totally impromptu. What I was looking for: 1) a closer location to the West lake - to walk there, not to ride; 2) a balcony or courtyard; 3) and/or at least a beautiful view and surroundings; 4) as we love tea and really interested in Chinese tea culture, some tea plantation nearby could be a plus! Not many hotels seemed to meet my requirements and those which fit were way beyond our budget. Xunzhenshe hotel looked very pretty but their description was not very clear. Anyway, considering that I was booking our room just a day (!) before our arrival on Friday night, Xunzhenshe seemed to be my only choice with just two rooms left. To be honest, I didn’t expect much when we arrived. However, from the beginning the service was outstanding with a personal approach. At the hotel they greeted us as we were VIPs. Celia, an English-speaking lady, who contacted me after my booking, was extremely helpful. She gave us few recommendations about Hangzhou and the area nearby. She showed us the tea plantation just next to the hotel and a room where farmers were drying tea leaves - it was quite short but interesting introduction to the hotel environment. The hotel itself is owned and managed by a former architect. The building was built based on construction principles of the Song dynasty. As I understand, all ground floor units have their own courtyard. There is a parking lot, a tea room and a restaurant at the hotel. We were given a non-smoking one-bedroom apartment in a quieter part of the hotel and could enjoy our morning tea in our small but elegant courtyard. The apartment was clean with all necessary amenities. There was a kitchen and a dining room with a huge table (we didn’t use this room though). The breakfast buffet was included in the rate, however they offered mostly Chinese food (no problem for us as we love it). Our dinner and breakfast food were delicious! Also, we so much appreciate totally unexpected birthday presents to my husband. Upon arrival he found a little gift with a touching handwritten birthday message and then birthday noodles were served at the restaurant. So, it was very unique and memorable celebration! After all, I was really happy with my hotel’s choice. To conclude what we loved the most about this hotel: 1. Attentive and caring service 2. Nature and beautiful surroundings 3. Very good location: just next to the West lake park and bridges. Walkable distance to the famous night show Impression and Su Causeway. Not far away to Leifeng pagoda and Longjing and Meijiawu villages. 4. Good Chinese restaurant with a terrace just next to the tea plantation 5. Amazing tea Me and my husband had a great time in Xunzhenshe. Highly recommend it to those who love places with soul.

This youth hostel I stayed in when I came to Hangzhou is really good. I recommend it! Whether it is the atmosphere or the price/performance ratio, it is very good. The location is close to the subway entrance, the facilities are also complete, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, there are many compartments and you don't need to wait, the rooms are four to six people, and everyone has a separate cabinet to put their luggage. I personally prefer the six-person room because it has windows and is relatively comfortable. When I checked in, the front desk receptionist Tiantian and Chunchun were very polite, both warm and considerate! In addition, the cleaning lady who cleaned the house was also very careful and cleaned it very clean. If you need to change the sheets after staying for two or three days, she will change them for you immediately. It feels much better than renting a house. There are also many people of the same age in the lobby who can chat together. In short, the environment is very comfortable, which is the kind I like!

Dear Trip Manager , Make sure hotel’s top management reads this message . I had checked out around 1.50 pm on 1st then gone to watch hockey match and after match directly drove to Shanghai. After Shanghai around 8.45 pm released I left my & families passport in locker of the wardrobe , locker was left open therefore no password required to open . I immediately called hotel’s front desk first spoke to lady she told exact locatio n of three passports. I waited for 20 minutes then called again this fine spoke to another person “ Wu” , he was more responsive and told he will check and assured to call back but he didn’t call back . I called after about 20 minutes he told he found a gold chain . This my gold chain I asked him again did he find passport he told “ no , think else was found “. Actually he didn’t send anybody to room to check . He lied ! . I told him to check again as I told him exact place of my passport. He said he will get it checked . I waited again for about 20 minutes again and called again spoke to him this time he told that another guest has checked in and therefore they cannot as guest is not in room . He told me to wait until guest comes back . Hotel’s housekeeping staff had found my chain in afternoon while cleaning and gave it front desk . Actually hotel should have called me on mobile immediately but wondering why this such kind of negligence . Absolutely disappointed. We kept on calling a few time until 1.15 am , my wife called atleast 10-15 times . Front desk staff kept on saying cannot enter room as guest hasn’t comeback . Meanwhile I had contacted via your app to three agents they said they will come back in one hour but nobody did …..!!! I had called around 1.15 am to hotel and told them I have no option to call police . Then Wu told he wait for 10 minutes , he called back and told to call police . I called 110 gave full information to police and with 10 minutes local police station called back to verify and after about 10-15 minutes I called Police again they said front desk has found my passports . If front desk had not authority to enter thek should have given option to call police and then they could enter room to search . Untrained unprofessional staff made me suffer for 4 & half ours . I will tell this story to all and will tell to all to never stay in this hotel ever …. Thanks

The room facilities are very new. The environment outside the window is not good, and the sound of the air conditioner opposite is a bit noisy, which may not be tolerated by those with poor sleep. The soundproofing on the upper and lower floors next door is pretty good. The room smells like a newly renovated house. The rooms booked by Ctrip are not allocated well, and the rooms are crooked. The more times they are booked, the more times they are booked, the impression of the hotel and Ctrip will be bad.

I booked the Sunshine Tatami Room for 2 nights with my partner, and it was a pleasant stay throughout the days. We were being offered complimentary breakfast Chinese-western fusion style at the 11th floor for 2 nights, free coffee vouchers at Peets’ Coffee at the lobby and the hotel offered free laundry service on the 10th floor. The tatami room was big enough for us to lay our 28” luggages flat on the floor, and have a L shape sofa with a super big screen TV. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Hotel location and services by staff were great. Particularly like that there is a laundry room in the hotel equipped with two washing machines and a dryer. Hotel staff also help to keep your laundry if you can't afford to wait for clothes to dry up. I love the place. It is very near to the metro station that link directly to the railway station I was taking. Long the street, there are many shops where I walk walk around and shopping. Further down maybe 10mins walk, there are many shops selling snacks and souvenir stuff. It gets very lively at night. Can walk down even further to get to 大马弄 dama lane for breakfast. There is this 煎饺 stir fried dumplings very nice (泮芳春煎饺) get there early as it will get very crowded. There is another deep fried fish slice is very nice too (大马弄蒋师傅酥鱼) nice too. Overall the hotel is quite good. And if you order delivery, they have this robot to delivery to your room. 👍

A very new hotel. Very clean and bed also very comfortable. About 10-15mins walk from the metro station. There are a lots of food around and also can walk to West Lake around 15-20mins. If want to go other attractions places it is very easy to take the public busses around. Toilet very clean. Cleaning lady and man always on standby to clean. The room might be a bit small but everything is there. Bed is very comfy and soft. The centralised aircond system is very good so you have good ventilation although you are taking the bunk bed type. The common area also very big. Only 1 cons is the wall maybe a bit thin, if there are people who kinda selfish talking loud at the corridor you will have to bear with it and if happen your next door neighbour is snoring you might heard about it but all this can be settle by the earplug. Overall its very good and nice hostel with the price.

This youth hostel has a very good price-performance ratio. It can be rented for more than 50 yuan. The guests who come here are very friendly. Most of them are young people and are easy to talk to. The front desk service is also very enthusiastic. Basically, they are responsive and can help you with any needs. The service staff is also very good. The pig intestine is really good, and the overall environment is clean and hygienic. The two cleaners clean very attentively. I give them a big thumbs up. It is also very convenient here, and the infrastructure is also very complete. There are washing machines and dryers, as well as 24-hour water dispensers and microwave ovens. There is a special laundry room with washing machines, dryers, and dryers. It is very convenient. If you have no objection, you can come to pick me up. Next time I will bring my friends to stay together, hehe

Room was nice and spacious, general hygiene of the rooms are decent. Only downside wades that our room was very strong smell of smoke, something we noticed about the building in general. If that doesn't affect you then I would recommend due it's value and location
