Staying at the Grand Hansa Hotel has been quite an experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the staff. The person who checked us in offered to escort us to our room, but we declined as we traveled lightly. The interior decor is soothing with a pleasant, calm color palette. Our room featured a generous King-size bed and, a well-appointed bathroom with stone finishes and brass-colored fixtures. The bottle of Water and complimentary handmade chocolate with a personalized handwritten welcome note from Erkki Karttula, Guest Relations Manager, on arrival, was a nice touch. The shower was a standout feature, equipped with a large rain shower head and a powerful hand shower. The branded shampoos and soaps were nice enough, with a mild scent. I did notice the shower floor could get a bit slippery, and I found myself holding onto the bar that regulates the hand shower height. After my shower, I shaved using the excellent shaving mirror and found the lighting in the bathroom to be top-notch. The toilet and bidet system in our bathroom were impressive. The remote-operated functions meant I didn't have to touch the toilet seat at all. The room itself is very comfortable, with excellent bedding and a large TV. There’s a small divan sofa, a minibar, and an espresso machine, among other amenities. The room also has a remote to close the black-out curtains, making it completely dark at night, which is excellent for a good night's sleep. The mobile app provided by the hotel offers extra room amenities, including a fantastic sleep kit called 'Feel Relaxed.' This kit, perfect for the White Nights of Finland's summer, includes earplugs, a sleep mask, and a pillow spray. Our meals at the Hansa Café & Brasserie were a delightful mix of good flavors, compliments to the kitchen brigade. The seating and atmosphere were pleasant, and we appreciated the friendly service. Later, we stopped by the refreshment center in the reception area, which offers lemon-scented water, chocolates, and fruits. It’s a small but thoughtful touch that adds to the overall positive service experience. We also asked for the sleeping kit, which the staff cheerfully organized and brought to our room. The joking exchange between the receptionists added a bit of fun to our interaction, further enhancing the service experience. Breakfast at the Hansa Café & Brasserie was another positive experience. We were warmly greeted and offered coffee and juice at our table. The buffet was well-organized, featuring everything from fresh fruits and yogurt, sausages, and bacon to a choice of egg dishes, except for poached eggs which were not available. A special nice touch was the pancakes and small Karelian Pies. The great selection of cold cuts, which was displayed very nicely and sweet pastries rounded off the breakfast selection nicely. Overall, our stay at the Grand Hansa Hotel was very pleasant. We were impressed with the staff's friendliness, warm smiles, eye cont
