Hotels near Ida Aalbergin puisto, Helsinki

Didn't send info about arrival, so I should call them. Internet connection was not working in one room. When they changed rooms internet still disconnected if I used few devices (e.g. laptop and mobile device), so it was unable to work from hotel with laptop. Knock knock system didn't worked few times so I should call. Calling charged extra per call and per minute.

The room was not too big but we didn’t have any big luggage so it was fine, and it was nice too. However, we discovered a black gel nail on the bathroom floor, but since the floor pattern was stone with black, white and grey, so it is understandable that the room attendant missed that spot.

Enjoyed a 4 night stay mainly to watch the UEFA Supercup match. Was given room 807 on the 8th floor, what a fantastic view over the water, park and in the distance could see the Olympic Stadium Tower. The room was very comfortable, nice comfortable double bed, large tv, fridge, usual kettle, ironing items, digital safe and slippers/housecoats. I plugged in my Amazon firestick to the hdmi port on the tv so then had access to Netflix/Amazon video etc The wifi was very strong. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful with a good selection of items, the morning after the uefa match myself and I think many others slept in, I went down at 0930 and was difficult to find a seat for breakfast however the staff working done a fantastic job in clearing tables and keeping fresh food available, big well done to them! Hotel location is just out of the main area but only two stops on the metro and your in the main train station, or the bus outside take you in too. Outside the hotel there’s always been plenty of these e-scooters which are handy to ride to the metro station or for me to hesburger! There’s also a small supermarket across from the hotel for stocking up snacks etc For transportation I downloaded the HSL app so bought tickets using the app, also I used Uber/Bolt apps for taxis. If you use Bolt then use my referral “RONNIEKPZ” I used bolt from the hotel to the airport and cost was €25 that was because I was a new user. Handy if you have heavy lugguge!

There was someone at the counter until early in the morning. The two single beds in the small room were very big and very hot. It was very comfortable to take a shower as soon as it rained outside. The sound insulation was pretty good. The breakfast was delicious. Check-out was only at 12 o'clock. You can store it in the room. There is a luggage room for luggage. It is only five minutes away from the train station. It is convenient to go anywhere.

I was able to spend my time like I was living there, warming up takeaway deli food and making salads. The sauna is unisex and swimsuits are required. It was very clean and I was able to relax in it. There is also a laundry room, which anyone staying at the hotel can use for free. It was about a 2-minute walk from the nearest Marni station. It takes 15 minutes by train to Helsinki Central Station, and about the same to the airport. There are also many local buses that depart from the station, and you can get to Marimekko and Iittala Arabia Center in Herttoniemi in 20 minutes without changing buses. In any case, it is very convenient for transportation and is perfect for long-term stays. I would like to stay here again the next time I visit Helsinki. However, there is no front desk, and the staff are only there from 10:00 to 18:00. I arrived at a time other than that, but I didn't know how to enter, so I just went through the entrance when people were entering and leaving. When the staff is there, they will store your luggage for you. The self check-in code is supposed to be emailed to you in advance, but I still hadn't received it even a week before... I inquired with Trip.com, but they said it would arrive before check-in. I still hadn't received it the day before, so I contacted the hotel directly and they emailed me the code. I was a bit worried about that, but I'm very satisfied with my long-term stay. I'd like to use this hotel again when I visit Helsinki.

The scenery of the hotel is superb, even if we stayed in winter, the beauty of the lake cannot be concealed. The service of the hotel is also very good, and the free apples are very delicious. The hotel lobby has a typical Nordic style, warm and practical. It is very pleasant to take a walk by the lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Great hotel, includes the kitchenette with the stove and the refrigerator. The huge plus is a washer in the room, so we could do our laundry. Located about 12 minutes walking distance to the train station, which can take you straight downtown. There are a few grocery stores within the walking distance also, which is very convenient. The hotel itself has a movie room, a kitchen room, a play room, gym and a sauna. Nice for the price - highly recommend!!!

No complaints. On the contrary! Found the breakfast room cozy and simply loved my room. The staff were all very polite. Excellent city travel options (for instance, who does not love trams?). Don’t miss The Hakaniemi square (tori) itself, with a market hall and similar commerce outside. (These days - so what if the cleaning personnel were not all working the same way.)
