Matheos Apartments

We had stayed here for two weeks in 2023 and were so pleased with the experience that we decided to return again this year. Let's face it, you don't repeat an experience if you're not happy with the first one. Thanks Helen, Matthew and George for your hospitality . Gerardine and Mike, Ireland.

Last day of a four day break at the amazing Matheos Apartments. My husband and I have travelled to Greece a number of times but this was our first time to Crete and will be the first of many visits to these lovely apartments. The welcome from Matthew and Helen were second to none . We had forgotten our travel Plug and Helen very kindly lent us one . The apartments are spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen has everything you need fridge with small freezer compartment, two ring stove , crockery, cutlery and glasses . The bathrooms were the best I have experienced in Greece and I have stayed in five star hotels in Rhodes. There is a huge walk in shower with rainfall shower and a hand held shower the water pressure was excellent better than many other five star European hotels we have stayed at. There was always plenty of hot water as well. There was a hairdryer in the room which was a great touch. The beds are super comfy and the air conditioning is cold, you do pay extra but not unexpected for self catering in Greece . The pool is adequate for the size of the property and was always warm not icy cold as in many hotels . The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced as was the breakfast. We went to the BBQ night , 36 Europe for two we found this great value with Greek salad, sausage, pork, lamb steaks and chicken , bread and tzatziki. The owners are lovely and helpful. The accommodation was modern and clean. It’s a mile or so to the nearest beaches which are nice but quite narrow. There is a small pool and a bar at the apartments and lots of lovely restaurants and bars close by.

I have just returned from a wonderful stay in Matheos Apartments, the team made me feel so welcome, the Apartments were clean and well presented with excellent facilities. It was hot while I stayed and the air-conditioning worked well and was quiet to sleep with. The weekly BBQ was great fun. There is a lovley family feel and nothing is to much trouble. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area including a fantastic array of family run restaurants. I would stay again.

Just returned from a lovely week at Matheos Apartments. Helen, George and Matthew are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. The apartments and communal areas are kept spotlessly clean. Nice little pool area and bar. The Saturday barbecue is a good social event for guests. Location is perfect, easy walking distance to other villages, lots of tavernas and bars. Very deserving of 5 stars.

First solo holiday , I was made to feel welcome from the minute I arrived until I left.rooms very clean and spacious,plenty of sun beds and seating around the pool.the Saturday barbecue a must,thank you Helen for my Greek salads and our chats., Helen George and Matthew will take good care of you, Veronica (probably not the right spelling) is a lovely lady and thanks Tilly for keeping my room clean.Will be returning next year

Lovely hosts Matthew and Helen From the moment we arrived couldn’t do enough for us. We had a 1 bedroom apartment Lovely and clean very comfortable and spacious , English breakfast was excellent and the fruit and greek yoghurt was to die for 😀 The apartments are in a great position for base for your holiday ,close to restaurants shops and bars and the beach is about 10/15 mins away in a cab We will definitely return !!

Apartments were fine Small and very friendly Mathew and Veronika not forgetting Helen thanks so much for a lovely time Lovely barbecue ❤️ Area around fantastic lots and lots of restaurants within walking distance there were a few bars but not many

We have been going too crete for over twenty years but it was our first holiday in piskopiano. But not the last can't fault these apartments 10/10. Matthew is a top man we had some great banter with him over the two weeks. Big shout out to Helen his ma who looked after us during the day with super breakfasts and lunch. And George for cooking a great barbecue on the Saturday night. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday piskopiano is a must. Some of the best greek restaurants we have eaten in.
