The ratings and reviews given to these apartments are fully justified based on the value, location and quality of the all round experience. The rooms and outside areas are as clean as we have ever seen, immaculate and tidy, a real credit to the staff and management team. The location is just perfect, being in the hub of many options offering laid back evenings or full on partying, all within 15-20 minutes walk but none affect the quiet and peaceful location of these apartments. The pool area is just about acceptable for space and beds, maybe at peak times it could get rather cramped but we never experienced too many issues with this. The facilities in the rooms were more than adequate and offered the option to eat in now and again if required, we never did, but can vouch for the items and cutlery etc available. All in all I can safely say the Lofos experience gave us our relaxing break in a quiet location that we were looking for. The only niggly reasons I never gave the full 5 stars, is purely down to a few minor issues...after arriving shattered at around 1.00am after a day of passes, forms and security ,we were made to fill in forms including employment details??..not sure what that's about...but why not wait until the next day perhaps? The buffet breakfast got some getting used to, the quality was bang average which is fine, but the tepid temperature of the hot food was not very appetizing, but I can say I did get to enjoy every breakfast so maybe that's just me!? The air con blew onto the top of a wardrobe in our room and the main unit was on the inside of the balcony, a bit of a pain sipping a cool evening drink with a turbo fan blowing on you from a foot away. As for the recent drinks payment issues we have seen on here, a similar thing actually happened to us when we were overcharged, albeit for 4 beers when we only had 2... hopefully, all of this is just random and coincidence, but we have not had this at any other hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and Crete in general, but I will say many of the beaches are becoming commercialised and owned by hotel resort or sunbed dictators, a rea shame as the breaches are all relatively small. The airport is not really fit for purpose, so be ready for 1 hour waits for luggage at the conveyor belts. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Lofos Apartments to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in clean, safe surroundings, we felt it was very good value for the money...many return visitors which paints a picture!

we arrived at the lofos apartments really looking forward to our relaxing holiday. we went into our room and we liked what we saw, the shower was lovely and that was it really. the beds was hard.the best bit was the sunset from our balcony that was amazing. the next morning we was going out to the beach and we was stopped by one of the waitress to pay a bar bill, which we already had paid the night before, but she said we owed an outstanding bill for the drinks, i said we had paid .anyway she said ok no problems, but it did annoy me saying we hadn't paid for the drinks, so that put a damper on the holiday. i don't like being accused of something i hadn't done. you couldn't get a sun lounger round the pool because people were putting there towels on them and not coming back for hrs on end. didn't like that either. wouldn't come back.

Arrived as friends. Left feeling sad. Our previous holiday was amazing, everything was pretty much perfect and my review was glowing. During our holiday in September 2023, there was some confusion re payment of a breakfast. We had a receipt so know it was paid. At the end of the special disco evening, we didn’t know about, we returned from our evening meal in the village, ordered some drinks and joined in the festivities, and had a really nice evening. When I went to pay the bill, I was charged for the breakfast as well, in my confusion I said we didn’t have breakfast instead of yes we had breakfast but we paid for it. The response from George was not very pleasant. We spent most of the rest of our holiday feeling very awkward, if it hadn’t been for the couples we were situated next to, our holiday would have been, to say the least, pretty unbearable. The atmosphere over the following days was very uncomfortable for us. We had booked to arrive on 27th September 2024, thinking this was a place we would return to many times. We felt we had made friends for life and had a connection with our love of the Greek language, and ongoing emails ( as friends ).The day we left was nothing like the previous time, again it was awkward and we left feeling very confused/sad. On our return home we transferred our deposit to another holiday. We regularly visit 4 other Greek hotels/apartments and do have friends going back over 20 years. Never left anything other than great reviews for our holiday accommodation. Still confused and sad. Cannot understand the change in all of the staff’s friendliness, apart from the cleaner, who was simply the best. ☹️

We had an incredible family holiday here and I can't recommend the apartments highly enough. The main reason for this is George (the boss) and Maria (the ACTUAL boss) who run the place and their amazing staff who are some of the loveliest people I have encountered on a holiday. From the moment we set foot on the property our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile and so polite and funny to talk to. You really do feel like you leave as a friend like it says on the signage around the place. The facilities are great, the pool is not huge but is just the right size for the number of people staying there, it never felt crowded and they seem to also have just the right amount of sunbeds for everyone. All the public areas were kept clean and well maintained. There is a fairly big bar / eating area with various screens and they seem to have access to most sporting events, if you ask they will always try their best to find it for you anyway! All the food we had here was great and fairly priced, the gyros pita is really good as are the sandwiches, salads and burgers. The is an offering of a buffet breakfast which is 10 euro and is really good value if you want to fill up for the day. There is cereal, pastries, the usual hot items od sausages, eggs, bacon etc plus some different things that the cook there makes fresh every morning like cheese pies and omelettes. They also have cold cuts, cheese, bread and fruit as well as unlimited tea/coffee and fruit juices. If you book for a whole week you get a slight discount too. We had a one bedroomed apartment with a terrace area that had sea views. The main living area was huge (room 20) and has a hob, fridge, panini/toastie maker and ample crockery and cutlery should you need it. Unlike some Greek apartments we have stayed in the bathroom was nicely decorated and had a shower that did not flood the entire room which was nice! The bedroom had two single beds, a dressing table and some drawers for storage with a wardrobe in the main living room. My one slight criticism is that it would be good to have an air con unit in the bedroom as well as the living room but we just kept the door open and it wasn't a big issue, probably the only way things could be any better here to be honest, can't think of anything else that could be improved. As I said at the start the main advantage these apartments have over others I have stayed at is the owners and staff. I spoke to Maria a few times to tell her how impressed I was with this and she is so humble and always turned it back on me saying it's the lovely guests that make the place. They treat the staff well and it shows, they are all happy and smiling all the time and you genuinely feel like they can't do enough for you. It really is a huge part of the stay here that everyone is so nice and it just makes for an extra special holiday. Just a quick note on the area, if you don't mind a short hill walk it's ideal. The apartments are between Hersoniss

This is a real gem of a place. The welcome on arrival from the owners and staff is wonderful. I don't think I have ever experienced a hotel with such a friendly vibe. We stayed in one of the new suites with private pool and it was superb. Faultless in every way. Really comfortable and the pool and loungers were fantastic. The food is good and the buffet breakfast (though basic) is more than adequate. An absolutely delightful experience and I would have no hesitation on recommending this hotel

From the second we arrived we were greeted off the bus at midnight by the owner an lovely staff. We had a amazing view of the sea an mountains from our room in room 24. Although it was over the bar it was fine as a very quiet complex. Loads of lovely restaurants just up the hill we went to every night an stunning beaches at either sides of the main stretch of hersonnissos. I am sure we will return.

Absolutely amazing!!! Maria,George and all the staff went out of their way to make you feel so welcome from the moment you step off the coach to leaving to go back home. We had one of the new suites for 2024 with our own jacuzzi, pure luxury, with the most comfiest bed we have ever slept in. The food was delicious and really good value. Can’t wait to return, hopefully with one of the pool suites. Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday
