Outstanding
AAnonymous UserThe hostel staff is great, very accommodating, helpful, smiling and always greets us. This is the best hostel I have experienced so far. We stayed for 3 nights and the room is very clean. They always clean it every day and when we were gone doing a tour outside, our room was already clean with new towels. I love the nice design of the hotel as well as the breakfast, which is good. I enjoyed their unlimited pasta for dinner. Lastly, it's very near the town proper, within walking distance. We only have issues with the door lock, but the staff was very fast to fix it, which is excellent. Highly recommended!
GGuest UserBulskamp is exactly the type of accommodation we seek out when we are travelling. The owner Ray is available all day to answer questions, arrange tours, book tricycles or just have a chat. He, along with all the other staff are very helpful friendly and welcoming and make you feel very comfortable. There is a beautiful communal area with comfortable seating and hammocks where guests gather for drinks and travel chats or reading and relaxing. This area is the heart of the hotel and what sets it apart from most other accommodation in town. There is a great choice of breakfast options and a good selection of very well priced drinks available throughout the day and night. The rooms are spotlessly clean with aircon, fan, tv and safe and they are serviced daily. We initially booked for three nights but the hotel atmosphere and beauty of El Nido made us stay for longer. Highly recommended
Ffarhan wahidGreat party hostel with lots of events and very good well trained staff.
The location is ten minutes by tuk-tuk to town so isn’t the best but in return you do get to chill right on the beach.
The food and drinks at the bar are amazing but they are a little more expensive than downtown el nido.
The beds and the bathroom facilities are clean and well looked after with plenty of bum guns to sort you out after eating a bad meal in town.
The entrance and exit could do with improving especially at night as you have to get in from the beach which isn’t ideal at night when there is a high tide and/ or loads of rabid dogs barking and running toward you.
GGantulga GomboIn overall, it was good stay. Unfortunately, bedding was terrible, mattress was covered by synthetic linoleum material and just lining sheet. It was non comfortable for sleeping, getting wet from a non-breathable mattress. Surroundings were no so good, dirty street.
AAndrea M MLovely and friendly staff, they were very helpful on answering questions and providing information about tours/ transport.
I stayed in the private 6 bed room, it was very cosy and stuffy, each bed had its own fan but it wasn't enough cold air for the whole night. Each bed had a socket and a small cupboard to place your luggage, you might want to bring your own lock. The bed were a good size and soft.
The restaurant had good food but a little pricey. Every night there is an event going on and music, luckily you don't hear it in the rooms. The bathroom/ shower are was clean and spacious, bring your own towel.
One the best things about the Hostel is it has the best beach view, you only have to walk 2 mins and the sea is right there.
However, to get to the hostel you have to walk through the sand to arrive there, if you have a suitcase be ready to carry it across the sand (backpack is easier).
Overall, a lovely place to enjoy and relax for a beach holiday. Sand, sea and sun 🌞🌞🌞
GGuest UserTravel agent booked this hotel for us for a standard double room for 4 nts. We got a double bed room, but no TV and room was very plain. When we complained about no TV we were told that the room that was booked for us showed air con and Wi-Fi, and we did not book a room with a TV, which BTW their website shows rooms with TVs and we picked this hotel based on photos shown to us by travel agent, which room was much more under-whelming than the photos. When we asked the front desk doesn't a 'Standard Double' room come with a TV? Got really no response from them. I told them that they we didn't book a room with a toliet, bedsheets, a mattress, pillows, toliet paper, etc.; but the room seemed to come with these items, other than just Wi-Fi and Air Con. They eventually said they would try to move us to a room with a TV the second day. When they moved us to the new room with a TV, which BTW did not even work. This other new room was a very small room that barely fit the double bed with very little walking space and an even smaller bathroom, and there was no where for us to put our clothes so we would live out of our suitcase; which there was really no place to even put the suitcase. So we just asked to get moved back into our original room with no TV as it was about 40% bigger (which isn't saying much), but at least it had a place to put our clothes and suitcase. Also, the 'Wi-Fi' internet was very poor in both rooms and only seemed to work okay either in the lobby area (ground floor) or on the top (4th) floor where the dining rea was located. Hotel is located about 2-3 km from the main area of El Nido. We recommend you stay somewhere else.
NNatalya DSmall, nice room, clean, there were no problems with hot water, there was no mold either (this is a big plus).
1. The windows of the rooms face the roadway (highway), so if you like to sleep, you won’t be able to do it without earplugs, as the noisy road will wake you up.
2. I would like a mini refrigerator in the room
3. There is no place in the room to dry things, there were 1-2 dryers in the corridor (it is not clear whether they were public, or someone took them out of their room) and they were occupied by someone’s things, someone dried their things right on the windowsill in the corridor , in principle, things don’t dry well in the hallway.
RReign68It was a quiet and quaint hotel so close to the main beach, restaurants and night life. The hotel was not a 4-5 stars standing. It still needs some updates like good quality towels, soft comforters and coffee maker or electric water heater for drinking. Varieties for breakfast needs changes. The bathroom has low water pressure when you used warm water. Overall it was ok. BUT THE STAFF , MANAGER ANTON, was amazing. The attentiveness they have given was above and beyond. Matti , Annalisa, Joshua and the boy forgot his name were great. With that said I’ll give them 10. Hoping for their success as well as improvement for the best quality Everything we need was provided.
SSairaMargaritaWe got the highest tier beachfront access villas with AC. We were pleasantly surprised to find that dormitels was connected to eco hotels, a bigger and higher end hotel, and the staff was more than helpful. Every time before we left the hotel we inquired how much a trike would cost from that location. The given price by the drivers was always higher and we chewed them down to the price given by them. Location is great as even tho it is really not in front of the beach as advertised, it’s part of a little cluster with some of the best food we found on the island! Altrove for pizza and the Israeli falafels were to die for!
