There was no Bodrum in the self-driving tour, because Mandarin Oriental knew this place, but when I went to Wenhua, it was more than 8,000 nights, too expensive, only to pick Lishi. Beauty is beautiful, I haven't seen a Chinese in the two days of staying, but the room doesn't feel luxurious, not as good as our domestic super five-star hotel. The beachfront room was only 34m, there was no bathtub, and the water in the bathroom was not flowing. Breakfast is good.

I stayed at this hotel in October 2023 as an early birthday celebration with my girlfriend. Due to work currently, we can only see each other every three months. We working hoping for a positive, chill experience. I am also a Hilton Gold member that has stayed all across the Hilton family of hotels; but I have never been so poorly treated by the front office than at this property. I was cheated and taken advantage of by paying over 500 euros more for their sea view room category and then given a lower category that is almost 50% of the cost per night and has no view (photos below). I would like to clarify that my grievances are with the front office. Most of the property staff are friendly, highly competent, and hardworking. Two staff members who were particularly excellent were the gentleman Efe and restaurant supervisor Merve Bilir. They provided excellent service, were genuinely warm people that care about their customers, and are hard workers. They should be the managing the entire hotel Also the food at the resort is very good and on par with any of my stays at the Waldorf Astoria properties. We also enjoyed the spa, which is run by a separate company and provided a great hammam experience Negatives: -We were given the wrong room category. The room I booked was a “King premium sea view” with “panoramic” sea views. Their reservations page is very clear about the room in both photos and its description. Instead we got room 6 with a view of some trees, which was clearly a lower room category (photos below). I typically wouldn’t care if the price difference is minimal, but lower room categories at this hotel are nearly 50% less per night (240 to 270 euros per night while I paid over 500 euros per night). Over the course of the weekend, I ended up paying between 500 to 600 euros more than was necessary for a lower room When I went to the front desk to point this out and ask for a room change, the receptionists agreed with me that this was not the right room and they offered me a free dinner with alcohol included, but they were fully booked and couldn’t move us I agreed and left but didn’t feel that was fair compensation since a 130 euro dinner doesn’t make up for paying 500+ euros for the wrong room. When I came back a few hours later, I asked for a manager and the assistant manager Tarik came out to speak with me. He was completely dismissive and couldn’t care less for what I had to say. He didn’t apologize and seemed annoyed that I was speaking to him and tried to end the conversation as fast as possible. He then informed me that alcohol would not be included in the dinner after it was promised and while he was hurriedly walking away he said he would ask the head manager what else they could do. The receptionist felt bad and offered to send a bottle of wine. During the rest of our stay we never received a bottle of wine and Tarik never got back to us -Their beach club, Frankie, was closed for two full days for a wedding while we were

This hotel is at the terminal of the island, so the View is particularly good. The only thing that is inconvenient in the past is that it can only be driven by car or paid for by the hotel. We are driving off the plane. In fact, it does not affect, because this is an all-inclusive hotel, the activities are very rich, basically do not want to go out, there are many things to do every day in the hotel, I feel that I can’t play, but I eat it from early to eat. Late, for the holiday, it’s really great, nothing to think about, it’s easy. It is very suitable for children to play, can host 2 years old and above, there are many activities that children can play, even Mini disco, my baby is one and a half years old, playing very high. Every day, you can talk about swimming and sliding. There are holidays, I will want to come here for a holiday. Perhaps this resort is very hidden, there is no Asian, pure European resort, the baby is particularly popular here. No matter the tourists or hotel service staff, it is very Nice, in short, it is highly recommended. The facts are better than what you see on the photo.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for 9 days. Initially, I was concerned about some of the comments regarding the service, but our experience was quite positive. While there were occasional moments when orders were missed, the overall service was good and nothing that would detract from our stay. The hotel is boutique-style, so it's important to adjust your expectations accordingly. It's not a large resort, but that’s what makes it special. The atmosphere was peaceful, and being an adults-only hotel added to the relaxing vibe, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable. We had a garden view room, which was beautifully designed and provided a cozy retreat. The hotel is quite new, so everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The beach area is a bit small, but there's a larger swimming area off the pier, which compensates for it nicely. One of the highlights of our stay was the food at the beach restaurant—it was really good! However, I do think the main restaurants could benefit from expanding their lunch menus, especially considering the hotel's premium status. My other suggestion would be to improve the entertainment. The music and overall entertainment program could use a bit more attention to elevate the experience. One drawback, however, was the noise during room cleaning. If you like to sleep in until around 11 a.m., the cleaning noises from neighboring rooms can be quite disruptive.

Amanruya

Hotel near Bodrum
Drawing its name from the Sanskrit-derived word for ‘peace’ and combining it with ruya, Turkish for ‘dream’, Amanruya overlooks the Aegean Sea on Turkey’s Bodrum Peninsula. Bordered by a forest reserve, the resort enjoys a sea frontage of almost one kilometre and offers a serene Beach Club. Inspired by the region’s traditional architecture, the resort presents freestanding Pavilions, each with its own private garden and swimming pool. Situated close to ancient cities such as Didyma and Ephesus, Amanruya is an ideal base for exploring the region’s historic treasures and enjoying its natural beauty.

This was our first time at an Aman and we didn't love it. After reading some other reviews, Amanruya seems to rank differently though to some of their other properties. Although we wouldn't return to this particular Aman, we would give another one a try. In short, we had a good stay but it wasn't faultless - by far. Considering the price you pay and value you get for money, I can only give it 3/5. ROOM 4/5 My understanding is that all the rooms are the same, just with different views. In our case we were surrounded by lovely gardens and big trees. The outdoor area is spacious and definitely the highlight for us. We spent most of our time at our private heated pool or in the sala relaxing. Every so often you get staff walking across the gardens so just bear in mind that you do not have complete privacy. The inside is beautifully laid out and furnished but perhaps a bit sterile for some. We stayed at the end of October and as it was getting colder, you spent more time indoors than in summer. Unfortunately the rooms weren't exactly conducive to lingering... i.e. the chairs are made for sitting rather than lying and reading a book. The living room area is also right next to your bed and doesn't have a very cosy feel. I guess the best way of putting it is slight style over substance. At least for us. (But perhaps this is an Aman-thing?) The bathroom is huge and gorgeous. Great toiletries, lovely tub. Fantastic bed and pillows. Nice music selection with ipod. There is also a TV with DVD player but you have to ask reception for a list of movies available to borrow. FOOD 4/5 The quality of ingredients and food overall was fantastic. Fresh produce with so much flavour that was very well executed! Starting with breakfast, the à la carte selection is varied and we didn't get bored after 5 days. The Menemen is a standout, as well as the Bodrum Breakfast which contains many local items like cheeses, hummus, honey and cream... We actually only had lunch at the beach once during our stay as breakfast kept us full until the evening. It's a shame because they have a different menu for lunch with Pides, Kebabs, etc. - unfortunately this food is not available for dinner. We brought it up with the Manager and he did mention that they had been talking about opening the beach restaurant in the evenings. Otherwise you are left with only one option, the main restaurant, as there is nothing close by outside of the resort. The food at dinner was excellent though and everything we tried was flavoursome and very well executed. The salads, mezzes, even the pasta was cooked to absolute perfection. The Baklava was the standout. I have never had such good Baklava in my life. I'm giving food 4/5 purely because of the lack of choice overall. Especially the room service menu was quite small and uninspired. Why put a burger on the menu and not some local items or mezze? I know some things travel better than others and the burgers were good enough - but more effort coul

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the experience I had during my recent stay at your hotel from [18 Aug 2024] to [21 Aug 2024]. Unfortunately, this stay was far from what I expected, and several issues severely impacted my overall experience. Firstly, the behavior and attitude of your staff were particularly disappointing. Manager Hilal was very rude behavior, lacking experience, professionalism and unresponsiveness to requests. I want management to investigate on why, she was having such behavior and check if there were room available at 11 AM 18th Aug 2024 for early check in. Manager HILAL was very angry and wanted me to cancel my booking and simply don’t care about guest experience. As a guest, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, which was sadly lacking during my stay. Secondly, I requested one large bed and got disappointed to know that they have all single bed which is joined by room service staff and again same manager HILAL was very rude and telling that joining two single bed is same as one 1 large bed or king size bed. This was unacceptable and not at all in line with the standards I expect from a hotel of your reputation. Moreover, when I brought these issues to the attention of the management, handling of my complaint was inadequate and left me feeling even more frustrated. This experience has unfortunately left a lasting negative impression, and I am considering whether I would stay at or recommend this hotel in the future. I believe that such issues should be addressed promptly to prevent other guests from facing similar dissatisfaction. I would appreciate it if you could investigate these matters and provide an appropriate response. I am also open to discussing how this situation could be rectified. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your prompt reply.

When I checked in, because the child was twelve years old, I added an extra bed, which cost about 1,000 RMB. But breakfast is provided. The breakfast is very good, there are many kinds of fruits, including kiwi, cherries, grapefruit... The sea view is simply invincible. My family can see a lot of small fish when swimming in the hotel sea. Since the coastline belongs to the hotel, there are very few people. He said it felt like diving...

Hotel location is good to find, there is a small brother at the door to help with parking, luggage, etc., but the hotel decoration style is general, but the room is still very good, there is an open-air balcony, very close to the beach, watching is a big swimming pool . The room is very soundproof and there is no loud noise. However, the hotel's other services are more general, Ctrip reservations do not include breakfast, compared to the hotel price, the price is average, but the overall environmental sanitation is very good.

I was delighted to meet Alexandra who truly embodies the most gracious & thoughtful hospitality spirit. She made my stay personable & went out of her way to interact with guests with the most care. She’s hands down the best part of this hotel! - Hotel Pros: Views & crystal clear water, incredible spread for breakfast comp’d for elites (very generous benefit), nice touches like wooden hangers on the beach for coverups, pristine property — everything is very new & well kept with lots of communal outdoor spaces, small hotel in terms of # of rooms/ guests (beach/pool never felt over crowded), felt very safe as a solo female (security stops all cars coming in), staff make a point to get to know you & remember your name, golf carts came fairly quickly to transport you up & down the hill, WiFi was reliable everywhere on property including the beach - Hotel Cons: Smoking everywhere which was difficult to avoid being down-wind from on the beach / at restaurants on property (even for breakfast), very high drink prices (coming from a New Yorker who also frequents Hawaii & the Caribbean), was emailed before arrival and offered a suite upgrade for €2K/night but the hotel wouldn’t grant a complimentary upgrade (titanium status & birthday stay) so I was just in the most basic room despite trying to also use NUAs/SNAs, no full length mirror in room, it is a family friendly hotel so there are some children running around (not adults only), concierge is contracted with 1 yacht company so they can’t recommend anything else tours wise I would be remiss if I didn’t also call out the A/C issues. I had confirmed with the hotel prior to my arrival that rooms would cool to 19 degrees C, but at least where the bed is positioned in my room, that area really only got to 21-22 degrees C at nighttime. The hotel didn’t really do much to solve this but they brought a stand up fan to help with air circulation. I get they were fully booked for the time period, but was disappointed because I had in writing before my arrival confirmation on the bedroom temperate which didn’t pan out, at least in the room I was in. Overall I don’t think the hotel is at all worth the €1,600+ nightly rate advertised (just for no view entry level rooms), but for half that price / if you get a deal on points it is nice! I personally wouldn’t come back as I felt as though there was an easy service recovery that could have been made for the A/C issues and no one solved that or checked back in (at first an email of mine actually went unanswered for 12+ hours and I had to track down someone from the front desk).

GGuest UserThis hotel has a lot going for it; incredible view over the city and old castle, impeccably attentive staff, delicious food and excellent amenities. A few items we found not meeting the high quality we expected from a Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Hyatt Regency partner was some things that were lacking. The landscaping was a bit underwhelming and I saw many ****s. The pool area is subjected to the city street noise and multiple sirens go by hourly. There was also a hotel or bar playing music so loud that drifted up the hill to the hotel. They play the pool music fairly loud at the Mamara to mask it. Not great if you are wanting to relax or nap by the pool. Also, our AC would not cool our room. We had to sleep with our ground floor slider open. We called for repair and no one showed up for three hours before we left for the pool, which as someone else mentioned, was quite cool. (Maybe because it’s early May???) I’m glad we are using points to pay for the room rather than out of pocket. We are the highest level of Hyatt Regency and they told us they were upgrading us from garden view to sea view. Ummm, barely. Only if you sit out on the patio and look between two buildings.

GGuest UserWe spent the second part of our honeymoon here it was faultless! The staff were kind and helpful. A special thank you to Serkan who made our entire experience what it was by being so hospitable. We stayed in Room 222 which was spacious and cleaned daily. The room also had a beautiful view and a jacuzzi which was great to use during sunset. The bathroom could have been a little bigger but ultimately was clean and functional. The hotel restaurant (Milo by Roas) also had amazing views and was simply superb! The food was always cooked to perfection and the breakfast in particular was some of the best we’ve had in Turkey. We found ourselves coming back to the restaurant on numerous occasions. All of the food was very reasonably priced too. The pool was clean and there were plenty of sun beds available. Location of the hotel was quiet and convenient with the central areas only a 5 minute taxi ride away. Bitez beach is just a short walk away. Reception staff would call a taxi from a reliable company for us which was great. Prior to booking the customer service via WhatsApp was also fantastic. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Costa City Bodrum is the cosiest and homely hotel I have stayed at in the whole of Turkey. The entire team was so helpful and welcoming. The owner Nagehan was there everyday to make sure all guests were comfortable. Sinan and Yetkin were also extremely helpful with providing information about the activities. Enes welcomed everyone cheerfully at breakfast. And not a single day would go by without CITY, the fluffy dog, she was always there to surprise the guests at somewhere in the hotel and fancy herself a sausage or two at breakfast. Berek seemed huge and scary at first, but he was peaceful and take lazy naps 24/7. The rooms were very clean. The traditional Turkish spread was the best, I could have it for all my life. Last but not the least it is very close to the marina and the old town market, which is a fantastic place to shop and a home to amazing eateries.

GGuest UserSo the good points… The location is great. A 10 minute drive down to the main area where there’s plenty of shops and bars spread across the marina. The beach is lovely. The water is nice and clean and plenty of beds for you to spend the day in the sun having fun 😎 The view is spectacular. The most amazing scenes especially at night when the town is lit up. So picturesque. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms are a good size. The staff on the beach do a great job keeping it clean and tidy. Unfortunately, that’s probably about it for the good points. Bad points… The drinks are awful. The sodas are flat and warm, the cocktails are absolutely shocking. The mojito should be removed from the menu as not 1 person knows how to make one. The rooms are ok but it’s the cleanliness, it’s bad. We stayed for 5 nights and not one was out floor cleaned, the shower and sink left unclean the whole time, bed was made daily but they never changed the sheets. Not once. The room was dirty when we checked in. Not a great start to the holiday. Most days the rooms was never even looked at so I had to keep asking for it to be cleaned. (Not that it was cleaned to anyone’s standard) The mini bar and coffee was never replenished. Had to constantly ask for stuff. Very frustrating. The staff are not that friendly bar maybe 2 or 3. They basically serve you once they’ve finished their conversations amongst themselves. Almost make you feel uncomfortable. What’s also frustrating is that not many speak any English. Now, I’m fully aware that I’m in their country and maybe it’s wrong for me to be frustrated but given you’ve opened your doors for the English speaking consumers, you would expect the staff to atleast understand what drink you’re asking for on the English written menu. The security guy who props himself up at the bar is very rude and aggressive. But I’ll be taking that further on a different platform. The lift to take you from the hotel down to the pool area is constantly out of use meaning you’ll need to walk up and down 100s of steep steps. Not what you want to be doing in 38c heat. The food isn’t great. Not awful but just bad quality. I didn’t eat there much but maybe it was just an off day. The air conditioning in the room is awful. Might as well not even have it turned on. Room still hot when it’s been left on all day. The hotel could be made so much better given its location but unfortunately, I don’t think the staff care too much about their customer’s complaints or concerns. Would I stay again? Probably not. And that’s unfortunate as you would book a holiday inn given its worldwide reputation but unfortunately, the standard at this hotel doesn’t match. But if you’re looking for somewhere for the location and a beach day, the hotel would be perfect for you. Some issues can be forgiven but there seems to be more negative than good. But with a few changes it really could be a lovely hotel. The issues are more to do with the s
