We had a lovely room where we stayed for 3 nights. It was quiet, comfortable and spacious. We were checked in by Sasha, who was a delight...he was helpful with information, with luggage, with reservations, and with a specially requested dinner. Patrick was also very knowledgable and helpful. We tried Idar-Oberstein's speciality called Speissbraten and rit was delicious. We recommend it as a must-try when visiting the area. The breakfasts and all the other meals at Parkhotel were well-prepared and tasty. The dining room is beautiful and the patio was such a nice spot to rest and relax (given we had warm-ish weather for October). We would stay here again without a doubt. Thank you, Sasha and Patrick

Wir waren zu einem Abendessen im Bistro des Parkhotels. Das Essen war sehr gut. Vor dem Essen gab es noch Brot und Butter, und nach den Essen wurde ein Gruß aus der Küche (leckerer Zitronenkuchen) geschickt. Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Empfehlenswert.

Clássico, calmo, tranquilo. Visita curta (2 días). Excelentes refeições, empregados simpáticos, faltou o Inglês no restaurante (ou pelo menos não me apercebi de que o falassem, ao jantar). Bom isolamento sonoro que assim facilita o descanso. Idar-Oberstein, quem diria terra da Biontech (uma das empresas que desenvolveram vacinas para covid - eu fui inoculado com biontech 😩😌 e agora sei também que contribuíram para o desenvolvimento local de todas as formas). Obrigado Park Hotel e Idar-Oberstein pela estadia. 🇵🇹🇩🇪

Ik had dit hotel geboekt omdat ik er een edelsteenbeurs wilde bezoeken. Het hotel ligt op wandelafstand van Idar (let op: dit is niet de Altstadt). Hotel heeft voldoende en gratis parking. Omdat ik op zondag aankwam, was de service beperkt, maar daarom niet minder behulpzaam. Inchecken ging vlot en ik kreeg alle info die nodig was, zoals o.a. de nachtuitgang, gezien op zondag de receptie niet permanent bezet is. De kamer was op het gelijkvloers en keek uit op de beek. Deze kant van het hotel blijkt geen last te hebben van het verkeer vanop de straat. Kamer was ruim en goed uitgerust met een kleine maar heel nette badkamer. Alles was ook heel netjes gepoetst. Omdat ik dus op zondag aangekomen was, was het restaurant en de bistro niet open. Er is echter wel voldoende eetgelegenheid op wandafstand (ca. 10 minuten) in het centrum van Idar. Het ontbijt was in het restaurant en voldoende uitgebreid. Ook de service hier was in orde.

Grundsätzlich war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich eingerichtet und sauber. Betten sind bequem und die Bäder geräumig. Leider ist das Personal unverschämt und unzuverlässig. Unverschämte Sprüche stehen hier offensichtlich mit auf dem Programm. Des Weiteren wird Essen , das vorbestellt wurde einfach auf den Tisch gestellt, obwohl die Person nicht da ist und das wird auch nicht hinterfragt. Auf die Anmerkung, ob man das bitte noch warmstellen könnte bis diese da ist, äußerste man die Antwort „dann hat die eben Pech gehabt.“ Klischee behaftete “Beleidigungen“ gehören hier zum guten Ton. Zudem ist das wohlgemerkt mal in Ordnung und dann wieder schlimm. Anscheinend hängt auch das an der Laune der Angestellten. Leider kann ich aufgrund mangelnden Anstands dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.
