Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen. Das Zimmer, dem man anmerkt, dass es aus einem Klassenzimmer gemacht war, war geräumig und mit allem versehen, was wir brauchten. Das Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt, gehobene Hausmannskost, frisch gekocht. Und die Freizeitaktvitäten waren gut geplant und durchgeführt. Man merkt deutlich, dass alle das was sie tun gern tun.

Hotel definito “spartano” dall’agenzia, ma in realtà in questo posto abbiamo trovato tutto quello che desideravamo: camera pulita dotata di bagno ad uso esclusivo. Cambio asciugamani a giorni alterni. Shampoo e Balsamo. Non ci sono pantofole in dotazione. Pranzi e cene assolutamente graditi, a buffet, abbondanti. Nessuno ti serve al tavolo , ma ognuno prende per sè piatti, posate, tovaglioli e bicchieri. Tè e caffè disponibili a volontà per scaldarsi. Posto ideale per osservare l’aurora perché distante da inquinamento luminoso e perché dal lago ghiacciato la visuale del cielo è a 360 gradi. Per riscaldarsi durante le attese è possibile scaldarsi nei tipici edifici detti “Kota “ . Durante il soggiorno siamo stati forniti di tute , guanti e scarponi da indossare sopra gli indumenti personali. Possibilità di diverse attivitá. Passeggiate in vari percorsi nel bosco. Stra consigliato.

This place is stunningly beautiful. It is very remote indeed. About 75 minutes from Ivalo Airport. The hotel is basic - more like a hostel - but the staff are brilliant - they know what they are doing and they are very helpful and friendly. Food doesn’t operate on a menu system - you have what is there, but it is plentiful and well cooked. Good quality cold weather gear is supplied - and you are likely to need it! We went out on the frozen lake on Snowmobiles last night and it was -26 by the time we finished. Unless you’re used to it, that is seriously cold. But we did get a good display of Northern Lights, so no complaints!

What a wonderful experience. The hotel was excellent, cosy and warm. The photos don’t do the rooms justice. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I am gluten free and they catered for it very well. Food is a set meal every day and you get what you’re given. Picky eaters might struggle but the food was delicious, home cooked, fresh and lovely. Lots of equipment available to use whenever you wanted to. The excursions that were included in our package were good fun. Lots of thought had been put in to giving people a great experience. The aurora put a show on for us!

We stayed at the Korpikartano hotel for a total of 4 nights, in the first week of January and I can say with certainty that it was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had in my life. The hotel is located on the banks of a frozen lake and the cold and snow make it even more magical. All the experiences are incredible, fishing on the frozen lake with a snowmobile, night hunting for the Northern Lights with snowshoes, Husky Safari, visit to the reindeer farm, all superb. All the staff who work at the Korpikartano hotel are very kind and available to clarify any doubts or curiosities you may have. The freezing cold we encountered, on average -25/-30 for the whole week, made this stay even more surreal. Who knows, maybe it's just goodbye!

We are already nostalgic to leave this beautiful place. Staff more than welcoming, caring, caring...this is exactly what we were looking for. We were amazed by the beauty of this place, this more than relaxing calm. Facing a huge snow-covered and frozen lake, the possibility of making a fire in a cottage in order to warm up in complete autonomy, hiking routes were suggested to us where we had the chance to see reindeer in the wild. The meals are careful, very balanced and more than excellent. We had the chance to taste elk, something we had never eaten before. For our last day, we had to leave the hotel very early in the morning, our breakfast had still been prepared in small bags... touches that make all the difference. Had a wonderful four days here. Hikes in the forest, photography workshop, canoeing on the lake, meals round the fire in the Lappish hut (and in the lovely restaurant), great sauna, stunning views of the aurora over the hotel and out across the beautiful lake on two starlit nights. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and everything was flawless. The room was clean and spacious. For those who want there is the possibility of kayaking in the lake located near the hotel or renting bikes at no additional cost. The hotel is completely surrounded by nature and there is the possibility of taking walks. The staff was kind and helpful for the entire duration of our stay and on the last day, having to leave early, they prepared a breakfast box for us the night before. I highly recommend it.

My partner and i would recommend hotel korpikartano 100 percent, the location is so peaceful, the staff are so helpful, the food is delicious and wholesome , the activities etc etc etc just a wonderful place ..and the northern lights omg.
